The job itself was done and we were pleased but a few weeks later the staircase started to discolour. We got back in touch with Wesley and haven’t had it resolved since speaking to him on the 19th May 2025; the day he agreed to sort it as a “good will” gesture as the discolouration should not have happened. The way he has spoken to us has been nothing short of appalling. Passive aggressive verbally and in all of the text messages. He even said there is clearly something “deeply wrong with me” - I’m a mum of 3 young children who just wants a job done properly.
Awful company. They take your money and don’t care once the job is “done.” Wesley is the most dishonest tradesman we’ve ever met. We are now escalating this to Trading Standards as we have enough evidence now to get this sorted legally.

We had a fantastic experience with Liverpool Staircase Renovations from start to finish.

Wes came out to measure up within a couple of days of me getting in touch, and even came at the weekend, which we really appreciated him giving up family time. He’s a genuinely lovely man, very easy to talk to, and he immediately understood the vision of what we were trying to achieve. He sent the quote over later the same day, which was great.

He also did us a huge favour by squeezing us in before Christmas, especially as we have a baby due just a couple of weeks later. This meant us taking a weekend slot, which we were more than happy to do, we were just grateful he could fit us in during such a busy time.

The two lads who came to do the work were brilliant. They worked tirelessly to get everything completed in one day, which was hugely appreciated with a 4-year-old in the house. They were absolute perfectionists, and despite it being done in a day, the finish was to a very high standard. They checked we were happy with everything before they left too.

Wes then followed up with a message to make sure we were happy before sending the invoice.

I absolutely love our new bannister, it floods light through the house and is exactly what I was looking for 😍 It’s completely transformed the look of our home.

I honestly couldn’t fault them and would recommend Liverpool Staircase Renovations to anyone without hesitation!

I’ve had 2 staircases fitted by Wes and the team and I’m currently waiting to move house so when I do, I’ll be calling them back to renovate the staircase there too. After having moving into our new home it needed modernising and the first thing was updating the bannister. After shopping around Wes was the chosen one. Why did I choose Wes? Not only was he good on price but more so his ideas on what to do with the bannister. We opted for a glass landing with a handrail on the side. Wes was punctual and delivered his promise. I have recommended Wes to friends and also will have him back to do more work in my new home. Happy to share picture of his work if needed

Felt the need to come in here and give Wesley and his staff 10 out of 10 for our new oak glass bannister. This company really went the extra mile with my new bannister last week. Absolutely delighted with the quality of the work and how friendly Wesley in particular was. The lads turned up exactly as they promised ripped out my old staircase and had my stunning new oak bannister with all the glass fitted in just 2 days. This was a surprise for my wife whilst she was in hospital. When she got home she couldn't believe the transformation and literally burst into tears. You have made us so happy and we honestly cannot thank you enough. Amazing people, amazing workmanship and a fantastic experience all around. I would recommend these to anybody thinking about a quality staircase upgrade. Thank you so so much for everything. Absolute joy. 10/10 the best 👍

We had a full oak stair renovation fitted by Wes and the team, we can’t recommend them enough they were reliable, punctual, professional, helpful and most importantly friendly. They went above and the beyond and even helped with other issues we had around the house. We are so impressed with our staircase renovation it gives our home the wow factor, everyone who enters instantly comments on the great finish thank you all for your hard work. Well out of pocket. Promises will attend and dosent respond. Quick to take money though. Just wish I’d have checked trust pilot before I reached out. Clearly a regular thing.

THE COMPANY IS A SCAM!! BE AWARE
It’s been a year since Wes started the renovations and we are still waiting for him to finish. We had to rip the skirting boards apart after they were completed due to a fault that this company made and the days that they were supposed to come no one came despite having wedding functions in the house. I have pictures and dates as to when this work started and how it was left in between and how it is left now. All these 5* reviews cannot be real they are definitely fake because how a company can treat their customers the way we was treated is beyond me. Wes and Christine were only concerned about money money money money money, we’re not short of money, do the job as it was agreed and take the money. They agree to send people on certain dates and when the time comes to complete the work no one ends up coming. I wrote a review last time of how awfull this company was and Wes ended up ringing my father complaining and had me take it down, not this time love. I’ll happily broadcast the type of work and messages that you have promised on social media to make people aware of what a money grabber this company is. I have seen screenshots from other reviews where Christine has said Wes couldn’t make it due a family emergency HAHAHA we’ve had all this. COMPLETE AND UTTER LIES

Very disappointed to have to write this but I’ve had the same experience as others who have given them low scores.Used a number of A/L days due to no shows and so disappointed with the finish results..Given loads of opportunities for them to call back ..Have appointed another stair fitter to finish the job to a better standard.

Well what can I say wanted my stairs done for years finally got them done! I cannot thank Wes and his team enough from the moment I met Wes he was so helpful and listened to exactly what I wanted! He was very professional and down to earth and his time keeping was amazing! Done the job was always there when he said he would be! Honestly would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants a high class job and amazing service from start to finish! Thanks again Wes I’m in love with my stairs x

Really sad to have to write this review but we have had a terrible experience with Wesley Jones. Hundreds of promises to finish our staircase and now we are over 8 months delayed. Most alarming is that he has no concern for the safety our family. My 6 year old injured his foot because the steps were different heights. We still have no glass balustrade and we have many a sleepless night worrying about our 3 young boys falling off the edge of the stairs. We have taken multiple days of annual leave for them not to turn up. The quality of what we are left with is very poor. Not really one for reviews but on this occasion I had to post one. Not only was I blown away by the company’s professionalism and the quality consistency…to me they can only be described as ‘perfectionists’. The efficiency and reliability of this company is second to none. Having two small children at home I needed my stair case to be completed pretty quickly for obvious reasons & Wesley personally made sure this happened. Seamless transition from old to new. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your hard work. Highly highly recommend you guys to anyone in need of a high quality job. Thank you

Wes is a conman. We experienced it all with LSR. Endless delays, poor workmanship, dishonesty, hidden costs, unfinished work. Our new stairs are creaking already due to poor installation less than 12 month in. We had plenty of trades people in during our project. Dealing with Wes and LSR was by far and away the worst experience we had. Also, see the multiple suspect 5* reviews received on the same 6 dates between May and July last year. A complete and utter fraud.
Amendment: no surprise to see Wes and LSR resorting to intimidation tactics to try and remove my review. The same approach they use to pressure you to pay before the job is complete. Unfortunately for Wes, GDPR means his threats of legal action are more farfetched than his promises of meeting deadlines.
