WARNING - SCAM!

WARNING! Scammers, non-existing customer support, no chance to get your refund or repair of the pen, very poor product quality for such price

Anything else would be equally good at nothing

Just realized this company is still around, what a chock. Bought a pen some years back, very unprofessional in terms of delivery, ordering and service. Well that I could accept if the product was good. Pen stopped working after a few minutes of active use. Being mechanical engineer I opened it up and could only laugh, I would design better quality in half an hour. Mech design is a joke, no sane person could ever come up with such horrendous solutions, only conclusion is that they must know they are selling excrement. I give them that the pen looks rather good but I much rather buy a piece of anodized aluminum, that would be equally good at nothing.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD AND NEVER SHIP YOUR ORDER. I never had issues until recently. Ordered refills. Never received my refills and I cannot get anyone at Lixpen to answer emails or provide a refund. Not sure what happened but the least these people can do is refund money and take down their website so no one can order any more. I'll keep trying to get my money back - buyer beware! Find another company to purchase 3D pens and refills.

BUYER BEWARE

I ordered a LIX pen for my daughter for Christmas. I should have opened the packaging when it arrived, but I did not; I wrapped it and gave it to her. When she opened it, at least one of the buttons was missing, and the device did not work correctly. She was very disappointed. Since refund was not an option, I took it to the post office (another subject of potential bad review, but I digress) and paid like 18 USD to ship it to Belgium. About 3 months passes with no email response from LIX, and then it arrives in the mail in my original package, apparently unopened and unrepaired by LIX. I followed all the shipping instructions correctly. My guess is their business finally went under and they are not accepting repairs. So disappointing.

Just like all of the other…

Just like all of the other reviews...purchased the Lix Pen with extra filament, The pen showed up 2 months late with no charger or filament. It was a gift for my daughter who obviously can't even try it out. Not that it would work based on the other reviews. And of course no response from the company. Too bad they're outside the US as I'd certainly report and file complaints to any and every agency I could to shut this shady outfit down. If the other two dozen bad reviews don't convince you...DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM LIX PEN!!!

DO NOT BUY. PLESE PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY

If I could give 0 starts I would with all my frustration. I pre-ordered the LIX pen from Belgium and waited for about 3 months. When received, I immediately noticed missing buttons. Since I make stuff, It wasn't a big deal to me and could retrofit it, just as long as the pen works. I followed the process of heating and feeding the pen, then realized the pen doesn't make any noise aka motor don't pull. I immediately sent an email to LIX, they took 9 days to reply, asked for images and videos, I sent those, they took another week to reply asking me to pay for shipping to get it repaired or replaced. I agreed and paid 30$ for shipping out of pocket and asked for a replacement instead. after 2 months, I received the pen, it was the same pen as I marked it where it's not noticeable (that's my go-to trick to make sure they actually do). Anyway, I ignored that fact and move forward with trying the pen. The filament has to be pushed in to fee constantly otherwise it's just the noise of the motor and the toxic smell of the filament giving you headaches. Additionally, the slow intrusion and reverse do not work. The fast intrusion works but good luck making a shape with the filament draining as soon as it comes out from the tip, and in bits. This is by far my ever worst purchase. I am furious that I spent $150 for such a piece of crap. Ohh, and since it took so long to get the product back and forth, PayPal is washing their hands on refund and are saying nothing they can do about it it's been more than 180 days.

Beware of Lixpen LTD

Beware of Lixpen LTD. They are very unprofessional.
Lixpen doesn't perform quality tests, during production. If you receive a non working Lix pen you will be asked to pay the shipping costs to the repair center. Really disappointing, considering that I've been asked to pay 2, month in advance, before the delivery.

Never received product, dishonest company

After researching many 3D pens, I ordered a Lix Pen in June 2018. AFTER I placed the order, I was informed that I would not receive my pen until August. I waited. Nothing arrived in August.

In September, I emailed the company with no response. I emailed the company again later in September. Finally, on October 1, 2018, I was issued a tracking number and told that my item had shipped. In the tracking details, it stated that a tracking number had been requested, yet the order had not yet been shipped by the vendor.

Almost two weeks later, with the order STILL not shipped I emailed the company again on October 9. Clearly the company was simply using a fake tracking number to "buy time".

More than a week later, I received an "official" apology from LixPen stating that the order was NOW in stock in the hands of fulfillment and that the order would be shipped out immediately. It is now 10/23/2018 and the order STILL has not shipped.

I demanded a full refund. The company is not only not meeting it's shipping deadlines, it is also deceiving customers with false tracking numbers and false promises of a shipped item.

4 full months after order placed, STILL no pen and no refund. I'll wait two days and then initiate a chargeback.

What a terrible company. You've been warned.

Useless Junk

Was given one of these as a gift a long time ago. It ended up being a late gift as the shipping date was off by a longshot. That's not a big deal.

Tried it out. Was semi-interesting but not all that useful for actually creating anything. Put it back in the box and forgot about it for a long time. Found it again today, and thought I should give it another shot and try to get some use out of it.

It broke within the FIRST 5 MINUTES of use. Terrible quality. Then I go check out their website for troubleshooting tips etc. There is nothing useful there... and I see how much these things cost. I can't believe the price considering what terrible quality they are.

DO NOT BUY!

What an absolute disappointment. Under no circumstances would I recommend this product. After receiving this as a gift, it was broken within 10 minutes. It does not work properly and has plenty of reviews to vouch for that as well. Not only does it not work but Lix also offers no refunds (I wonder why!?). It makes sense to not offer a refund when you know your product is not going to function properly and you have already been paid. I was offered to have the pen fixed but there is no guarantee that the same issue will not occur again. Not only is this inconvenient but also unreliable in a work environment. And to top it off, their customer service is worthless. Recommend finding literally any other option to replace buying this crap product.

I give Lixpen 0 Stars - WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

I give this company 0 Stars. I bought a pen for $230.90 Canadian Dollars. It took them 1 weeks to contact me about shipping. This is what they wrote:
"Can you please confirm if you made an order on LIX PEN?
Can you also provide the order details such as:
-Item Orderd
-Order Amount
-Shipping Address"

I provided them with the information. After which he said, "This is the warning we received from the commerce monitoring company, can you please confirm...(Risk level medium). Due to the following red-flags (highlighted below) your order is deemed too risky to ship."

I said I would like to cancel my order and get a refund.

to which he said, "All Fraudulent / High-Risk will be canceled and the credit card we have on file will be reimbursed."

They ran my payment on April 28th. I asked for a refund on May 26th. It is July 19th today and I still haven't received my money.

Are these guys a scam? What the hell is going on?

Poor customer service / SCAM?

Please check Kickstarter before buying from this company. They have tried to avoid paying taxes by shipping directly from China. However, someone used the wrong customs value for all shipments. They confused the price of the filament with the price of the actual 3D pen. This resulted in invoices with 3 or 4 times the actual value. People paid more to customs then they have invested in Kickstarter (more then the retail price of the pen) and there is nothing they do about it. Just false promises.

If this happend to your, please do not listen to LIX, there is nothing they can do about this. You will need to get an invoice with the right customs value (which the will not issue, so good luck) and you'll need to contact FedEx for the appeal.

Reply from Lixpen

Hello Marc,

We thank you for this review. The customs fees apply as our products get manufactured in China. This is nothing unlawful and customer are charged tax upon purchase. We made this change so the customers wouldn't have to deal with customs and courier service harassment over it. We do apologize to all existing customers who still have this issue at hand.
We do want to say that most of the packages with wrongly declared values were returned back so we can ship them again with a correct invoice. The once that didn't return immediatelly, the customers were told not to pay the customs so they are being returned as well. And other customers that received the package before getting an invoice, these invoices will be paid by LIX if necessary. It was actually FedEx mistake to pay these invoices to customs in the first place and then claim the fee from the consignee. As this is a very specific issue, it takes time to figure out how it can be handled, so we really need your patience and cooperation. Please note that our resources, which we do not have in abundance, are pointed to solve this as soon as possible. We are doing our best to resolve this with our shipping company and the courier services they use to deliver the parcel.
We hope our answer to this matter had shed some light. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any specific information regarding your case.

Poor customer service, and refuse to fulfill order as purchased

After reviewing several 3-d printing pens, I chose Lix pen as it seemed to have a very streamline design. I put in a pre-order months in advance for the pen, which came with 2 types of filament, one hard plastic (ABS) filament type, and one (PLA) plant based filament. Additionally I added 2 refills of ABS.

The description of the filament which came "special offer" with pre-order led me to believe that I would receive 40 pieces of random colors of ABS and 40 pieces of random color of PLA.

The date of expected delivery passed without further communication from the company. I then had to write them asking for a new delivery estimate. They informed me they had communicated an estimate only and provided an update. A week later the product arrived.

My order of additional filament was correct. They had not included any of the PLA filament. NONE of the filament sent had the assortment of colors I had expected.

When I requested for them to fulfill the order as purchased, I was given a discount voucher and was informed that the multicolor assortment of filament refills was not offered. Only 40 pieces of a SINGLE color would be possible and I would have to foot the bill of an additional 10 USD for their mistake.

Extremely unsatisfied with this company and their accountability of fulfilling the most basic aspects of service. Tell me when I will receive my product and get the order right.

The pen itself has an inadequate motor which feeds the filament and changes speed while dispensing the material. It may have to do with the filament rod insert location which when a new rod is inserted, projects at an angle which rubs against the power cable and interferes with smooth feeding. The expectation was of a much higher quality.
