Very disappointing experience with LJ Hooker Dunedin.
I moved out of my rental property in early March, but my overpaid rent and bond were still not properly settled for more than two months. I contacted them multiple times and also tried to reach the agent I had been dealing with, Thomas, but received no proper response.
It was not until mid-May, after I sent a formal complaint email, that someone finally started handling my case. This is honestly unacceptable. It is the first time I have experienced a rental agency in New Zealand taking over two months after move-out to calculate and return rent/bond payments.
What made it even worse was that the refund amount was calculated incorrectly several times during the process, which caused even more confusion and stress.
Overall, the communication was poor, the handling was extremely slow, and the agent was very unreliable. I would not recommend LJ hooker !!!
