Had a great Roman street food tour with our engaging and informative guide Benny! She was super funny and knowledgeable and taught us a lot more than about food. We loved hearing her stories and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend this tour!

This was great! Not all olive oil is created equal. Extra Virgin refers to a process. The difference is the olives, knowing the difference and tasting techniques made all the difference. Pairing the right olive oil with the right food was eye opening. We will remember this forever.

The olive oil tasting was an enlightening and enjoyable experience. I learned so much! The Chef prepared dinner was fabulous and delicious. Everything was prepared perfectly and the Chef was incredibly gracious. I’d highly recommend Local Aromas as they are tremendous hosts and wonderful people. For our 1st trip to Italy- we utilized Social media to learn about what we should/shouldn’t do on our trip. We came across Local Aromas and every contact we saw- we appreciated and were curious. We reached out and booked a Rome street food tour and it was beyond our expectations! Could I have ordered pizza or pasta- yes but I might have missed where the locals would visit. To learn about those individual businesses and engagement from the tour lead- made the time fly as it was so enjoyable.

Our Roman Street Food Tour with Valerie this afternoon was not only delicious, but fun and informative. It’s clear that Valerie has a passion about Rome, its history and culture, as well as its cuisine. We enjoyed suppli, Roman pizza, gelato and more and enjoyed walking through some of the more off the beaten path streets. This tour was the perfect way to end our time in Rome, but we’ll definitely be back!

We booked the Sunrise Rome Tour and were not sure what to expect.

Let me tell you, we had the best time.
Francesco picked us up and was ready and waiting at our hotel. He was super informative, really fun to talk to, but above all so so passionate.

We spent the next few hours seeing the sights and taking photos and hearing some really wonderful stories and information

We saw all the highlights and even some areas we had no idea about.

Towards the end of the tour I didn’t want to leave, I could have spent hours more with Francesco. Not only did I leave with some incredible photos and amazing memories, but as we bid farewell, I felt like I was saying goodbye to a friend.

Deborah, our guide, was so welcoming and willing to share many tips for our next week. This was a perfect beginning to our week here in Rome.

We were a group of 5 - the youngest a 16-year-old through to her grandfather and three more in between - and we all had such an amazing food and wine experience with Christina and Benny! We visited Rome during the first week in November and were so glad that we were able to squeeze in a cooking course with wine pairing at Local Aromas. As they helped us to create an amazing meal together, we enjoyed each course either out on Christina's porch or inside around her table, each one with some wonderful wine. We were so excited about the evening that over Christmas, we re-created the evening - this time sharing it with more of our family in the UK. We all appreciated the many ways that you helped us to understand the connections with Rome's art, history, and culture through its cuisine. My family and I booked this experience while in Rome. We had many issues with other companies but not Local Aromas! They not only were very communicative but they were so amazing and left us walking away with so many memories and experiences! I will be bringing my wife the nice time I am there!

From the moment we stepped into the warm and inviting atmosphere of ProLoco, we were greeted by the delightful aromas of fresh ingredients. Under the expert guidance of Chef Carla, we had the unique opportunity to craft our own gnocchi, fettuccine, and tiramisu from scratch. The hands-on experience not only deepened our appreciation for the art of Italian cooking but also made us feel connected to the rich culinary traditions of Rome.

What set this experience apart was the genuine hospitality of Benny and Valerie, the passionate founders of Local Aromas. Our experience with Local Aromas was amazing from the minute we met Valerie at the local market. We met the vendors, tasted some amazing locally produced foods and learned so much about the Italian way of shopping.
Chef Christina's cooking class was fun and engaging and with her expert guidance we helped create a beautiful lunch that we enjoyed on her patio.
Eric guided us on a magical evening walk around the city where we stopped at 4 lovely spots to enjoy some amazing local wine and snacks. Every step of the way with Local Aromas exceeded our expectations and created beautiful memories of our time in Rome.

Our family did the Roman Street Food Tour. Our tour guide was Margherita, and she was so nice and knew everything about the food we were eating, but also the history of the area. The food was absolutely delicious and i would highly recommend this tour.

We had the most incredible cooking experience in Italy! Our private cooking class took place in a charming home, creating an intimate and exclusive atmosphere just for our group. Leaning to craft the perfect gnocchi from scratch was both fun and delicious and the addition of wine made the evening more enjoyable. It was truly a memorable experience that I would recommend to anyone seeking an authentic taste of Italian cuisine.

We had the most wonderful evening with the local aromas team. We felt like part of the family when we were welcomed into your lovely home. Eating delicious food in your back yard under the 100 year old olive trees was truly magical. Thank you we cannot wait to do this again.

We were lucky enough to have a private wine tasting with Eric while in Rome. Eric was amazing at verbalizing the traits and information about the different wines we tasted. He explained so much to us and introduced us to wines we never would have known about otherwise.
