Daniel Crook and Stephanie Johnson are just taking money not doing the jobs as promised do not answer there phones might get a Text to say driving or on a roof then still no one turned up I put a review on here a while ago he said it was in my best interest to take it off so I did but still not done the job I got them from Bark that was supposed to be professional roofer the company it’s loft-tec . co.uk just have to take them both to court the money was going to Stephanie Jonhson the secretary more like the girlfriend 4000.00 and the roof still has holes he left some scaffolding that he wanted to collect I said finish the job first the holes on the roof and the small roof they were going to tile he dropped off some wood and some tile then said that was my money worth and he is going to charge me 6000.00 for the scaffolding that I paid for 600.00 that he told me was going to be free had enough now

This company is a joke

This company is a joke last year is enquired about the removal of my chimney removed kept pestering me while on hoilday so I decided to them remove the chimney stack removed a year later found fault with the work got in touch with them they wanted me to send photos so I did at first they said it was not there work I said why would I pay someone to up the roof to repair it when I have a ten year warranty so they decided to do the repair but I had to pay £850 towards the scaffolding which stupidly I did back in june never turned up to do the job made every excuse van broke down there on the way absolute crap still owe me £850 warning keep away from this company scam artist I forgot they said they would do the work properly this time joke

Like a lot of people on here nothing but issues with this company took payments and not showing up to do work ignore all attempts to contact them and tell me they have issued a refund four weeks ago and nothing

Poor tradesmen, poorer service, and appalling communication. Do not hire.

Appalling service, with red flags galore - do heed them!

To begin with, they ask for payment in full upfront. I refused to do this, saying I will pay with a credit card on a terminal, so that I have the necessary protections. Their card machine was "out of service" or something along those lines. I had seen multiple reviews online of them taking the payment in full upfront and not showing up to do the work, so I was not going to risk this.
Eventually, they agreed to take payment after the work was done. They agreed to reseal the gutter between my house and conservatory, and this work was carried on the 8 May. It had rained on the 13 and the seal had immediately failed.
I contacted them immediately, with photos and videos, requesting that they make good the 5 year guarantee and redo the work. I was told "we will send someone out ASAP". Despite me constantly messaging and requesting someone attend, I was never given a date. On the 6 June, I was told that there was availability on the Tuesday. Nobody showed, nor was I contacted to be told that they won't be coming. Since then, I have had no further indication of somebody coming to rectify the work. In good faith, I have tried to keep the lines of communication open, but I am either ignored or brushed off.

Scam artists

Two separate dates were agreed upon for them to come and do the work (pest control) (after payment was taken), both of which they failed to turn up to and only communicated after we contacted them. Both these times they also requested coming later that day or the day after, only to not show up again. After this, our 'account director' offered a refund which was then promised 2 weeks later and then had to be chased up only to not be given. Two months later, I'm still waiting. Their website now appears to have disappeared. Do not use them if they return!

Avoid at all costs..

Very keen to take money through an escrow type service to “protect eveyone”.. then came the lies about when they would come to do the work.. Never turned up, staff letting them down, no communication. Finally agreed to refund the money, but still nothing from them.. worst company I’ve ever had to deal with.

Avoid At All Cost

☆☆☆Update my bank refunded my refund back as Loft Tech Limited were refusing to pay it after my review. Don't give up guys report them to your bank and they will investigate and you will get your money back ☆☆☆ .

Be aware of a business trading under the name of Loft Tech Limited also known as LTs Resources registered in Rossendale but claim to work over the UK .

They quoted me for some work that I wanted doing, pressured me to make a decision or I wouldn't benefit for £100 discount . Anyway I was happy with the quote and a link was sent for a deposit of £292.00 with the balance due on completion.

First appointment that was made was a no show , after I chased for an update was told they hadn't got all the supplies from merchant but would come on Saturday (this morning ? . Another no show so after chasing up the owner Daniel Crook and Stephanie Johnson I was told that despite my deposit being paid they had under quoted and have cancelled the job . At no point did they bother to call me and let me know , I would still be waiting if I hadn't chased them . I doubt I will get my deposit back but have been told in 3 working days .

Anyway if you are looking locally for a roofing firm avoid avoid avoid . You will not get the work done and you will be asked for a deposit upfront to secure the job .

**** since my review I was met with an influx of messages basically saying if my truthful negative review affects them I won't get my money back . I'm not worried about that as I'll be making a complaint to Action Fraud as they took my money and never turned up . Also I'd advise people to report them to Companies House .

@loft Tech the dispute is you took my money £292 and have not returned it . You already know the outcome of this and it's on you not me . You failed to turn up and failed to do any work yet your holding my money .
I am happy to upload the whole transcript of our conversations .
My review is totally accurate of the service you have not given me and it would appear for others on this review site also .
What exactly are you doing with this complaint , your the person I have been dealing with so your fully equipped with information . Its not like your a national organisation is it ? .

Terrible, terrible experience

Withholding my complaint here until this matter is resolved . I will indeed get you all the information requested. From my end my roof is leaking and we have been told there is 1.5 metres of felt been laid in a place where it isn't even leaking, nothing dishonest about what I have said, and, I can prove it. I will have all the information for you within the 4 weeks you have requested.

I never said at any point I wouldn't allow you to do this.
I WOULD ABSOLUTLEY LOVE for you to send a representative to inspect the roof, as long as its not the same guys who laid the roof. Please send. Soon as possible.

My home SOLD . Home reports all done etc. Wall looked excellent when the buyer seen it was not until the heavy rain afterwards it still leaked. Leaky roof really isn't my problem anymore since its sold but I paid for it and have since found out its not been done where its was meant to be done and of top of that ive been told the work done does not reflect the price. So lets sort it. Get an inspector out pronto please.

May I also add, my neighbour has had their roof looked at and there is nothing wrong with theirs, no repairs needed. So the fault has always been my roof and where the guy plastered he hasn't even touched the roof above that corner, nothing. He has put a piece of felt down somewhere else along the roof where there was no leak and ive been told its one piece for 700 quid! maybe you have also been taken for a ride by sub contractors or something, I don't know. I understand you personally didn't carry out this work so for both our sakes get your inspector out. I look forward to hearing when he is coming. I'm home every single day so the sooner the better.

I also found this very offensive and totally dishonest from yourself as you have not been contacted by any insurance company on my behalf because I haven't claimed any insurance for anything !!! I'm an honest person Mr Loft-tech I hope you can prove you are too, I really do.

It's always best to be honest when replying to a complaint without looking for other stupid reason why the customer is complaining.

When YOUR inspector goes on the roof and indeed confirms to you that the area above where the leak was, and, still is, which is directly above where your guy plastered, has not been touched and that one small piece of felt has been laid elsewhere for £700. Then hopefully we can resolve this then you will have my apologies and my view will absolutely reflect this as I understand you yourself did not inspect this work.

Aside from the plaster, seems so, I think its around 1.5. Also, my roof is tiny, like its really really small. I could have had the whole roof done for 700 quid.

The only reason we have been given this review from you is because we have refused to be dishonest to insurers
Since your repeated review to try and tarnish our reputation we have in deed been in contact with various agencies including the local council regarding the sale of your home and the masking of disrepair you wanted us to be compliant with.

You was charged for
Various felt repairs
Gutter clean
Lead renewal
Internal wall plastering

Not just £700 for 1m of felt.

It's always best to be honest when reviewing companies as there can often be investigations to determine the legitimacy of the review

**kimberley, we have phone call recordings of your husband literally asking if we can put the fault to next door, he also stated he would paint any damp patched areas within the home in order to mask any issues.

If we could post audio on here we definitely would do.

You have been asked for a report from your "professional second opinion roofer"

You agreed to this until told we wouldn't accept the word of a sole trader or any person alike.

You have failed to provide this report so we cannot actually assess your complaint.

This review can stay for all to see as Loft Tech will no shy away from dishonest people, we will challenge that.
We will not be compliant with anyone trying to cheat a home buyers survey.
You have been told we would attend and settle this issue multiple times yet your effort seems to be focused on our reputation at the moment.

Hello Kimberly, in response to your GDPR questions I can confirm all clients are told at the start of any call that calls are recorded for compliance and guarantee purposes.
Further more unfortunately our communications have been with your husband so we would on entertain a request from him.
The way to do this is in writing to the company, it's call an information access request. You would need to write a letter to state exactly what information you require from us and for the reason as to why.

From there we have 4 weeks to acknowledge the request and provide any information asked for.

You can get further advice surrounding this from the ICO (information commissioners office)

Am I to understand you do not want to submit an information request ?

You have not been over charged, in fact you may have been undercharged.

Dont stick to their word! Avoid

Intially booked for someone to come out set traps for a suspected mouse and they said they would do this and inspect the house and make reccomendations for around £200.
They didnt even turn up for the first appointment we booked with no communication until we messaged them after to see what was happening. Said theyd come the following day. Again didnt turn up, again rearranged for the following day. Changed the time 3 times! Before eventually turning up was here a maximum of 20 minutes they left after just setting the traps.
When contacting them to say weve caught something (like they asked) was told we would need to pay another £160! for them to return.
When speaking to the manager Stephaine on the phone , she couldnt care less how theyd messed us about on the phone and even though she'd listened to the playback of the intial phonecall where nothing was ever said about further followup costs still though it was acceptable to just say "well weve given you the discounted price" £160 is discounted apparently.
The traps and pest poison they use can be bought on amazon for a grand total of £22.
So i paid someone £180 for 20 minutes of there time. WOW!

To call and tell us we were disgusting and not honest is uncalled for and poor customer service.
I never anywhere put nothing was done as thats incorrect and unfactual.
We were never told there would be a second appointment.
We had a service but not the full service quoted as a report for prevention has never been provided.
We were told we would recieve pet safe traps due to dogs , the only pet safe trap is outside, none are pet safe inside.
Ive never said results were not gained, as above you can see that the 2 traps set were successful. What our problem is the customer service and communication from yourselves is absolutely appalling and youve enhanced that with the phonecall today.
I didnt want it free of charge my argument is we were never made aware this was a thing so the money is not available right now to pay for that. If told this would be a possibility/likely on the intial phonecall there wouldnt of been such an issue. Hidden costs.
** thanks for bringing up my partners mental and physically disabled state( who is now disheartened by your behaviour as he was trying to organise this himself as he struggles with this), whilst I was keeping my animals in a calm state whilst your technician was here. He was happy with you technician who was actually polite and helpful unlike yourselves who just repeatedly keeping calling us liars. Again not asking for free just not told of any further costs **

Since the visit multiple rodents have been caught, as you have messaged us to let us know this, the fact that the appointment was a short appointment is irrelevant when your paying for the experience of the technician, in this case your technician has done a perfect job with some amazing results.

Your anger comes after we have told you we would charge a reduced price for a follow up appointment as you wanted this free of charge, and claim nothing has been done at your home ?

However your partner Lewis has messaged in multiple times stating the opposite.

Please be honest in your review and state your anger and negative review has been done after you have been told no to a free of charge appointment.

I can assure you our treatments and traps do not come from amazon, the treatment ingredients are manufactured by various suppliers, from there we manufacture our own treatment batches, these treatments cannot be bought anywhere other than with us and are unique to loft tech.

I would recommend you get the treatments tested if your in doubt

You was not told there would be pet safe traps (you was told your pets are your responsibility, however we do ensure traps and treatments are left where pets cannot access them)

Looking at the legal declaration form you signed on the day it does reflect the fact you was advised about the risk to pets and the liability was yours. This was signed with a 5* review for services.

You have not yet been given a prevention report as the actual eradication stage is not yet over due to your infestation rate.

Once the infestation is eradicated we would then send a report with prevention recommendations.

You did want an appointment free of charge and over the last 24hrs have tried all ways to get it.

You have clearly stated in messages and recorded calls that you cannot afford another appointment.

If this is the case then surely you cannot afford prevention measures either ?

Please stop being dishonest in these reviews as we have everything evidential to show the opposite of what you state.

We would be happy to assist you further but we do not offer a free service and we are not a charity.

Your partners mental health or physical disability has not been mentioned by ourselves, equally we was not advised of any health conditions during booking.

The only person who has brought that topic into the situation is yourself, in an attempt to make the service sound worse than it was.

Again please stop being dishonest, if you want our help please call the office however we are not a free of charge service

Will not be using again.

Awful communication and very unreliable. Can’t keep to appointments. Always pushing back and delaying times/days that they’ve promised they will be here to fix any issues, constantly chasing them up asking when it will be dealt with and more often than not, our messages are left unread/ignored or are replied to days later with excuses as to why they didn’t turn up as promised. Wouldn’t reccommend!

Avoid extremely unreliable

Avoid extremely unreliable! Had an appointment booked and paid for in full then received a text delaying the appointment by 5 days, we asked to cancel as needed someone asap but was advised a refund would take 14 days so it was in our best interest to keep the rescheduled appt. The day then arrived and we had received no communication and had to reach out again checking up to get told they will get back to us when we eventually called to chase up again they said the appt was delayed and they would 'try' to get to us next week. No apology or explanation given or any regards for the fact people work and cant just keep moving around schedules. Was then offered a full refund on the day so clearly the first point of a 14 day refund was a lie to keep our money. Highly unprofessional shouldn't take payment on booking if you cannot guarantee it. Terrible customer service would avoid.

They can't keep to the original…

They can't keep to the original appointment they take your money but they send no one, they also say you the 1st priority but clearly they take on to much work at once and you get forgotten about they said to use today there was someone on route which was a lie and then switched for tomorrow not taking any consideration that we work they said sat changed to Tues and now Wed we have 2 children under the age of 6 poor professional conduct
