LCL I have done you for BUNDLES AND YOU KNOW IT!!!

Before even thinking about using this company, look at the negative reviews which are a true representation of this company. I have a growing list of people who have been conned.

you’ve never cost us one job from your reviews ever, to think someone would take note of someone with multiple negative reviews and who posts regularly it’s obvious you have a mental health issue.

insurance backed guaranteed, deposit protections and visits to the last five jobs win work.

5 video referrals are going live on the site of recently completed jobs and you’ll see you cost nothing.

if we wasn’t winning work why would we even bother? we’d just shut trust pilot down and move on?

They are known for sub standard work

These clowns are at it again, be extremely careful handing over a penny, they are cowboys and will head for the hills with your hard earned cash. Read the negative reviews which are 100% real.

Loft Conversion London did a great job…

Loft Conversion London did a great job for us. It's an old house and its particular problems were a real challenge installing the loft room. The design planning team were endlessly helpful and all the trades were excellent. In particular, we really appreciated their friendly, informative engagement with us-they explained each step and progress made with clarity and honesty. They were punctual to a fault. I'd also like to mention the admin./accounts staff who were helpful throughout and responded and clearly to our questions. A genuine five star recommendation!

Fantastic Job

Fantastic Job! From the initial meeting with Dennis discussing the design and scope, through to the administrative work and the delivery, this was a brilliant experience. Everyone at LCL were professional and delivered to what was agreed. It is not often I have come across such a great bunch of people who quite simply made everything easy for what was a large loft conversation 2x Double ensuite bedrooms, new staircase and bedroom. This is genuine 5 star rating

Very happy with our loft conversion in…

Very happy with our loft conversion in Hillingdon. I’d like to say a special thanks to the architect Helen for getting us through planning even with the difficulties we faced with Hillingdon council.

Our project manager was Mann he worked tirelessly to deliver the project in time for for Xmas and although there was a few snagging issues he got us to a basically complete loft in time. after getting in touch with lcl in January they sent out David who dealt with the few bits and bobs left by the build team.

I’m going to use lcl again august to build a velux loft conversion for me in a rental property.
Very happy indeed

recently completed loft

We recently completed our loft conversion in the lovely area of Hampton, and we're absolutely thrilled with the final results. Collaborating with Andy, who served as the project manager at LCL, made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. From the initial consultation to the finishing touches, Andy's professionalism and attention to detail were evident every step of the way.

During the two-month build, Andy's dedicated building team, under his expert guidance, showcased remarkable craftsmanship and expertise. Their commitment to excellence was evident in every aspect of the project, from the structural modifications to the intricate finishing work. Despite the challenges that often accompany construction projects, Andy's team worked tirelessly, including weekends and long hours, to ensure that our vision was brought to life.

Throughout the process, communication with Andy and his team was excellent. They were always readily available to address any concerns or questions we had, providing regular updates and ensuring that we were informed and involved every step of the way. Their professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction truly set them apart.

One aspect that particularly impressed us was the attention to detail exhibited by the snagging team. Their thoroughness and efficiency in identifying and addressing any minor issues after the completion of the build further underscored LCL's dedication to delivering a flawless end product.

Overall, LCL exceeded our expectations in every way. Their expertise, professionalism, and commitment to quality craftsmanship, under Andy's leadership, transformed our loft into a beautiful, functional space that we now proudly call home. We can't thank Andy and the entire LCL team enough for their hard work and dedication. We wholeheartedly recommend LCL to anyone considering a loft conversion or any construction project. Thank you for making our dream home a reality.

five star service from the team

five star service from the team, from the initial sales visit until the end of the project the where fantastic!

we had Dennis and his team who completed our rear dormer loft conversion in 6 weeks.

in the beginning the office where in hand to answer all our questions and they where very helpful in the beginning stage.

but once we were handed over to project manager Dennis, we had little need to contact them other than to authorise payments to the labour on site.

overall very happy with the loft. the insurance backed gurantee they provided at the end was the major selling point for us when originally choosing a company, many companies offered a gurantee but there wasn’t anything in place insurance wise,

i would highly recommend and use again if we needed there services in the future

Be warned!

Please take your time and do your research in-depth before you use this company . We only wish we had done the same. The owners of this company, who I am not allowed to name due to trustpilots guidelines. Are highly dishonest people. Please be very careful around them.

We decided to use loft conversion London because of their can do friendly attitude. Most other builders seemed a bit boring and reluctant to stray from the normal path. They always answer the phone when we called in the run up to the job and answered all our questions.

The moment the job started, that good customer service vanished. The communication became poor and horrors began.

We agreed they would do our loft and renovate two bathrooms under the agreed upon price. They told us the job would take 8 weeks with a maximum of 12. They started the Job in April and only now (40 weeks later) we have finally broken off our professional relationship with because they clearly aren’t going to attempt to complete the job. We are having to get another company to finish the job which has driven us way over our original budget.

They saw we were inexperienced and they actively chose to take advantage of us. We have never experienced anything like it and don’t want anyone else to experience what we went through.

If you are considering using them. Please do one thing first. Look up how to reverse google search (this is putting an image into google and searching where the image originally came from.) If you do this with LCLs website and instagram photos you will see almost every photo they post comes from other website. Don't take my word for it. Try it.

They are highly dishonest we recommend staying well clear of them and just hope that the law eventually catches up with them.

Unfulfilled Promises and Unfinished Projects by Loft Conversion London

I am writing to share my deeply disappointing experience with Loft Conversion London, hoping that my review can assist others in making informed decisions.

Our agreement with Loft Conversion London was for an 8-week loft conversion project. However, the project, unfortunately, extended to a staggering 9 months, significantly beyond the agreed timeframe. This extension was not due to any unforeseen circumstances, but rather, it was a result of the company's lack of organisation and commitment. There were several instances where their team failed to show up for work, including an entire month where they didn't appear at our property at all. This negligence led to substantial inconvenience and disruption for us, significantly deviating from the professional and timely service we had expected.

Loft Conversion London unexpectedly walked off the job, leaving the project incomplete and resulting in a £22,000 loss for us. This abrupt departure left us in a challenging situation, both financially and practically.

One of the most distressing outcomes of this ordeal was that our home was left without a roof for an entire month. This resulted in extensive water damage due to exposure to the elements, a predicament which was further exacerbated by the company's lack of action to rectify the situation.

Furthermore, we discovered through our interactions that the company's verbal and written communications did not align with their actions. We felt misled throughout the process. In any business transaction, transparency and honesty are paramount, and it's deeply disappointing that this was missing in our dealings with Loft Conversion London.

A significant concern arose when we noticed that a substantial number of reviews on the company's Trustpilot page (15 out of 27) had been flagged. This raises serious questions about the integrity of the company's online reputation and undermines their credibility.

To summarise, our experience with Loft Conversion London was far from satisfactory. We were left with an incomplete project, a major financial loss, serious property damage, prolonged delays, and the perception of dishonesty.

I strongly advise prospective customers to consider these points carefully before engaging with Loft Conversion London. Your time, money, and home are important, and it is essential to entrust them to a company that values these as much as you do.

Dear Mr Ellingworth
We would like to respond to your unfair and untrue claims in order to slander us

1) the reason your project went over the average time is due to every single invoice we sent you, you paid late!
our payment terms are as follows

10% DEPOSIT TO SECURE OUR SERVICES AND START DATE
20% OF CONTRACT VALUE UPON DELIVERY OF THE STEEL BEAMS AND STRUCTUAL TIMBER

12% OF THE CONTRACT VALUE WHEN THE STEEL BEAMS AND STRUCTURAL FLOOR IS IN POSITION AND BUILDING CONTROL SIGNED OFF
15% OF THE CONTRACT VALUE UPON THE STRUCTURAL CONSTRUCTION OF THE hip to gable loft conversion READY TO RECEIVE TILING AND WINDOWS
7.5% OF THE CONTRACT VALUE UPON INSTALLATION OF THE 1ST FIX ELECTRICS, PLUMBING AND ALL INTERNAL WALLS WILL NOW BE READY TO RECEIVE PLASTER
6% PERCENT OF THE CONTRACT VALUE UPON INSTALLATION OF THE NEW STAIRCASE. EXCLUDING SPINDLES AND HANDRAILS
7% OF THE CONTRACT VALUE UPON INSTALLATION OF large dormer window with radiator beneath
10% OF THE CONTRACT VALUE UPON COMPLETION OF EXTERNAL TILING INCLUDING FASCIA AND GUTTERING
7.5% OF THE CONTRACTED VALUE UPON INSTALLATION OF THE SECOND FIX CARPENTRY AND ELECTRICS UPON COMPLETION
5% BALANCE OF THE CONTRACT VALUE UPON SECOND PLUMBING AND COMPLETION OF PROJECT

the reason they are broken down like this is so that we can quickly work through the stages getting paid after every complete part of the project.
every single invoice lcl sent you was paid late, some times more than ten days late. unfortunately a project like this doesn't run on fresh air.
if you don't pay on time within a 2 day period we are sometimes forced to pull off.

we have emails documenting us begging for payment almost, which resulted in no help or avail from you.

after going through weeks off this, we sent you a invoice for approx £7400 plus vat for the upgrade of the boiler and the mega-flow, we had informed you of the price before starting said works and you agreed. on receipt of the invoice you queried us and sent a picture from google of some random boiler take which cost £2000.00 your comment was '' £2000 is all we will pay and nothing else until the end of the job is fully complete''
our response was if the cost of a water tank is the cost for the job. then the cost of 10 packs of bricks are the same as the cost of a house.

at this point the loft conversion had been complete to a high level. we have messages and emails with you agreeing this.

we decided with the lack of payment for the upgraded boiler and said mega-flow to cancel the contract.

on the project there was £12000 left, this was to be used to refurb two small bathrooms remaining. this is a more than adequate sum to renovate two small bathrooms to the specifications we allowed. and due to your poor payment history with us and refusal to pay the outstanding invoices for the additional works, we felt if we continued we would be even more out of pocket than we already where.

you've said the home was left without a roof for a month, we remember the tiles where delayed by one week and the project had a tin hat with monoflex sheeting surrounding the property so this accusation is unlikely and seems to be added in to apply weight to your accusation.

to address your next statement ''A significant concern arose when we noticed that a substantial number of reviews on the company's Trustpilot page (15 out of 27) had been flagged''

your jobs been complete over a year, at that time we wasn't even on trust pilot, you post reviews all the time with different names, there's a review currently flagged which you posted at the same time and day. yes we do removed these as their untrue, you know we remove them as they are yours. the statement you made is a lie as you wouldn't off looked to trust pilot for us as we wasn't even on here

please respond to the invoice or we will seek legal action
kind regards lcl team

Loft conversion London - Do not engage this company

I planned a loft conversion in my flat. The took a deposit of GBP 2200. The project is now shelved due to non-approval from the landlord. They are not returning the deposit despite several reminders

The reply provided by LCL is not true. There was no committed start date for this project. Can they show any documentation? The planning documents were not submitted properly and I had chase the council to get it approved. The landlord of the flat has not approved the loft conversion. Please provide documentation.
The architecture fees are paid in GBP 4200 advance. There was no hold up. There was clear understanding that if the project did not go ahead they would refund the GBP 2200.

Latest update: I have got County court judgement to pay my deposit back.

Dear Sreeram.
Unfortunately the £2200 isn't due to be returned. we had a agreement that if planning was refused LCL would return the deposit. After a lot of hard work, we provided you with architectural drawings and got you to a point where planning was approved.

LCL was booked into start the project with an agreed date and LCL had also turned down other work during this period to make sure we was dedicated to your build alone.

you decided to cancel due to not wanting to pay a premium to your freeholder of which they offered. but we have emails to say they approved it and that we were to start on said date.

last minute cancellations are why we take a deposit, and we really did hold up our end. your more than welcome to use the drawings with another contractor if you change your mind about paying the freeholders new premium.

or your welcome to come back to us and we would undertake the project at the same price quoted.

LCL hope this clarifies our stance. and we wish you well going forward.

kind regards LCL team

update
Dear Sreeram
we have email correspondence from yourselves and lcl showing that what you have stated is untrue. the payment was £2200 and we paid for drawings out of this.
we worked very hard to get planning and the office staff where constantly back fourth with the emails to the council

we have a confirmation email of a start date
and also have in writing from your self the reason for cancelling was due to the free holder asking for too much money. this is a issue we believe you should of discussed with your free holder before instructing us to undertake your loft conversion

a business does not run on fresh air and unfortunately we can’t do services for free in fear of a bad review.

i urge any future client to read the terms and conditions in the contract and our stance on returning deposits.

if there’s a valid reason with a reasonable amount of time. we are more than willing to accommodate the client

but you cannot expect us to return a deposit, a week before the start date because you now believe the freeholder has asked for too much of a premium to convert your loft space

any future clients will see the terms and conditions in the contract before signing and is something we can discuss on a case by case basis

LCL now consider this matter closed and wish your well for the future

kind regards LCL team

Good quality work and communication

The quality of the work was high (as confirmed by friends who are builders and building control) and I was impressed with the leval of communication from the team. The project took longer than expected due to various delays as a result of Covid and material shortages but it was worth the wait to have a good quality loft. We are glad we went with the company and would recommend them to others

Me and my partner hired lcl to do my…

Me and my partner hired lcl to do my property in Enfield last year and after receiving the invite today we felt it would he time to write a honest review.

First impressions we was impressed with their sales lady's over all knowledge and how quickly she got the quote out to us. After getting a couple more quotes to compare we found they cams up mid range which is what we where looking for budget wise. After making the decision and singing with lcl they litterlally sorted out everything from building control. And all the drawings and plans. Going forward once they started we found the guys on site respectful courteous and on time, the loft took 11 weeks once they started and they came back once for a couple snags. The most impressive thing for us was the communication they would always respond so quick to issues and guided us through out the whole process always informing us of every move. One year later the only issue we had was a slight bit of condensation in one of the rear dormer windows but they came back with in a week of the call to fix after a quick call to the office. Overall very happy with the work and the whole experience, we have recommended them to friends who will be contacting them soon
