As has been the case previously, delivery went smoothly by the same driver who is always very helpful and cooperative.

However, the length and size of the logs were very variable and did not meet the expectation from the description on your website (“Properly sized and split logs (typically 20-25cm length) ensure easy loading and optimal burning in standard stoves and fireplaces”). Approximately 20% of the logs were approximately 15 cm in length, cut square end as if the machine had been set incorrectly; a significant number were branched and such an odd shape they only just fit into the stove, and one is too large to fit even with the ash bed cleared. The logs are so variable that it is difficult to make a tidy stack.

I expect a degree of variation, and welcome a mixture of thick and thin, but the variation on this load was far more than I would expect. Do you have a supply problem?

Logs arrived on time. They were also in excellent shape. Delivery was good and I was able to take the logs off the drive into my new log store.
I was also able to easily convert the pallet into kindling. Excellent.

We have always been very happy with the service from Logs Near Me. We order a crate of Kiln dried Birch Logs each time which arrive crated and wrapped in plastic to keep protected. The logs are uniformly cut to size which makes them easy to stack, and perfectly dried out for smokeless burning. Notice is always given prior to delivery and they have always delivered when expected.

No your response is not correct. I emailed you within an hour of originally placing the order detailing if the order could not be delivered to my porch I wouldn’t be able to take the order and it would need to be cancelled due to a physical disability.

When I followed up with a call I was then told it would be a kerbside delivery on a pallet and the customer service representative apologised and acknowledged I had emailed stating my situation and he had missed it. I asked for my order to be cancelled and refunded. He said it hadn’t been loaded yet and he could have it delivered to me in boxes the next day but it would be more expensive. I agreed and asked for him to send me an email to confirm once he’d arranged it after our call. No email, no call, no update for days. When I emailed asking for an update no response. When I called to cancel as it had been weeks with no accountability or even customer service and instead it was me constantly chasing them even though they had admitted initially they had messed up, he was still trying to insist I wait for him to arrange delivery! At this point I put my foot down and insisted my order cancelled and an email to confirm be sent to me and my money refunded effective immediately otherwise I will be reporting to trading standards. Only then within minutes was my order cancelled and money refunded.
Shame on you for trying to twist this around.

Good quality wood well crated. The delivery driver took great pains to precisely position the wood at my required, but slightly difficult location.

Waited for XL crate to come into stock, ordered with discount code. There was a supply problem, so after some delays we agreed a smaller crate and some refund. Smaller crate of great quality wood arrived, partial refund not provided despite email follow up.

Company has done great for multiple orders, unfortunately when things go wrong it seems the customer picks up the burden… so I got 10% less logs than ordered.

The logs themselves were good. Price was alright. Delivery was where the whole experience really suffered. Waited in for the whole day for delivery, called the office just before closing to check whether order was coming. Delivery date had been processed incorrectly - it was planned (in error) for the following day. This was not going to be possible for me. Rearranged a delivery date for the following week, however the logs were delivered the following day anyway. Will probably look to source elsewhere in the future - logs did seem good, but logistics is just as important to me.
