A commitment that still defines who we are today. We care deeply about the experience each customer has with Lola’s. Our customer service team is always on hand to help with enquiries, and the occasional problem! We always buy our children’s…

We always buy our children’s celebration cakes from Lola’s. They are always utterly delicious and look incredible. They are reasonably priced for what you get and it’s so easy to order and collect. 100% recommend

Too much sugar

We ordered a unicorn cake for our child’s birthday, and while it looked beautiful, the taste was very disappointing. The cream on the outside was extremely sweet - way too much sugar. Neither the kids nor the adults could really enjoy eating it because it was overpoweringly sugary. Unfortunately, almost half of the cake ended up in the bin. For a birthday cake, appearance is important, but taste matters just as much. Sadly, this cake did not meet our expectations

Our unicorn cake does come with both buttercream filling and buttercream frosting, which is the sweetest icing we offer, and we completely understand that some customers may find it too sweet and overpowering compared to cream cheese or mascarpone-based frostings.

We’re sorry to hear that this has affected your experience and expectations on this occasion, especially as presentation and flavour are equally important to us. Based on your preferences, we would highly recommend choosing our cream cheese or mascarpone frosted cakes for future orders, as these would be perfect for customers who prefer a lighter and less sweet flavour profile.

Excellent and simple local pick up.

Excellent and simple local pick up.
We ordered the cookies and cream cake and it was absolutely delicious...light, tasty and not too sweet.
Also ordered the size for 14 people but easily could have fed 16-18.
Great experience!

birthday cake

The cake was excellent and enjoyed by all who shared it. It was easy to order and straightforward to collect from the shop. The cake was for my daughter's 40th birthday and she certainly apreciated it.
