Third rate service involving damage
I booked this company to come and clean some upholstery - sending photos in advance to confirm the work needed. I was quoted £675 which was steep but they were able to come within the week.
The cleaners arrived today, 90 minutes late which was not great, but I was courteous, provided off street parking and refreshments on their arrival. The quote suggested the work would take 3 hours. Not only did it take barely 90 minutes but in that time they spent 15 minutes cleaning some very large silk curtains which they charged £80 for (what a rip-off) and one of them smashed some ornamental eggs whilst moving a table - he told me they are specifically told never to move anything out of the way - so how on earth can you clean anything - tried to pretend he had not noticed - and when they said they had finished in this worryingly record time, I wanted to speak to the person who had made the booking because I was not satisfied that the work was that good and also I wanted compensation for the breakage. This resulted in them refusing to leave my premises until the balance was paid, being unbelievably offensive and threatening to charge 'overtime' whilst they sat there doing nothing. I managed to get £90 back from the original price but only because I would not pay and was prepared to call the police at having these two aggressive men in my house. I have sent details of the cost of the damage which they promised they would cover under their insurance but they have now ignored my messages. Do not use these people, they are charlatans and the work is not what it should be for the price.
