Such a pity because most reviews seem happy (I do note though that other reviews are very old…) but, I had a terrible letting experience with them. Put down a holding deposit on a property on the Saturday. Was told that the property was secured for me pending the landlords acceptance. Was even congratulated via email by the branch manager.

Monday evening 17:30 I get a call telling me that they’ve actually taken two holding deposits (despite acknowledging that government guidelines say not to do this.) Their excuse is also that they have multiple agents , apparently their system allows for multiple deposits. They also acknowledged that they knew this on Saturday but still decided to not let me know until end of day Monday.

All documents have an audit trail, I suggested they look and see who had the signed document returned first, this was ignored.

The landlord has chosen to go with the other tenant (who is a student whereas I am full time employed and even offered to pay six months rent upfront?) This has set me back to square one as, in the meantime, I have cancelled other viewing etc.

They have repaid my deposit immediately but, this does not even begin to pay back my inconvenience. Their solution, they have another property miles away with none of the transport links I wanted…

Be very careful when paying your deposit etc. as their integrity is definitely questionable.

Adam was brilliant throughout and miles ahead of other estate agents. He was pleasant to deal with, transparent, responsive, and wholly trustworthy. We had a considerably better experience with them than with any other estate agent.

Just want to say a massive thank you to Adam (agent), who has been nothing short of helpful throughout the entire process. The company offers different types of accommodation at a reasonable price. The process of tenancy with them is rigorous but definitely gives you reassurance that these guys have done their checks properly and know that you are in good and safe hands. They are transparent and the process is swift! I can agree with the previous review - Adam is just a phone call away! This is particularly important for us as we work shifts, both days and nights. So we sometimes had to contact him during weekends or unusual times for queries and he always responds so promptly!
