The customer service is absolutely useless and they send you around in circles.

Don't respond when you contact them.

I've been trying to change my email address on the app as since the app has been updated I can't log in and my old talktalk address is now defunct. I've tried ringing but first a recorded message sent me a link via sms but the linked page doesn't work. I've tried speaking to someone but you're on hold for half an hour before being cut off. They don't respond to my emails. This is appalling service.

Absolute shambles of an app

Absolute shambles of an app. When you try and check results it doesn’t show you all the numbers. I have to Google results from another website. When buying online tickets previously it showed your numbers in a straight line, not so any more. I could go on but but they’ve ‘fixed’ something that wasn’t broken.

National Lottery keep your personal details when you leave them!!!!!

National lottery changed their website which i hate,so i asked to delete my account. Unbelievably they give you chances to have a break instead of leaving, then tell you it will be a lifetime ban and THEY WILL BE HOLDING ON TO PERSONAL DETAILS SO THEY CAN MAINTAIN THE LIFETIME EXCLUSION and can you keep your details up to date with them. If people have a gambling problem the National Lottery is very clever and controlling!!!

Aweful New Web Site

So imagine a company telling a tech team, ' We want to change our web site from one that works well, and is easy to use, into one that: 1) Is a nightmare to navigate, 2) Everything that works easily, now takes forever to complete IF you can work out the new way, 3) Takes away may different features that players rely on. 4) We will get back to you on further ideas to totally SCREW UP the site.'

Well thats EXACTLY what NL have done!
And to be clear, thats me venting in a way that Trustpilot with post my review.. if you could hear what I'm actually saying out loud its far far far worse!

As transparent as mud

This lottery like many other lacks transparency in how the numbers are drawn, the statistics are no longer available and the goalposts are often moved to reduce odds of winning just about anything! I have personally been participating with the lottery since the 1990’s and the most I have won is £10 and a total amount within this time is less than £100 total. I don’t even want to think about how much I have spent.

One star is too much for this company.

One star is too much for this company.
New refreshed website is just rubbish.
They ask you to refresh and then it locks you out.
On phone for 50 minutes then another 30 and no one answers.
Sent email no one replies.
One of the worst customer services I have ever come across.

It's really not that difficult

New layout is moronic. You want to be able to see what future tickets you have in draw date order and consequently you know when to purchase new ones. You can't.

Fix it.

Appalling upgrade to interface a tone deaf Allwyn.

Pending tickets showing as no matches even though draw hasn't occurred. Dog's breakfast of interface. When my tickets run out I won't be using new interface on browser or downloaded app. Looks like a 5 year old designed it or AI.
UPDATE
Have had two emails from National lottery not addressing the issues but claiming they're listening and the website is basically a wonderful upgrade with fantastic stuff and teething problems AND that 111 million are using it without problems.

Tone deaf.

The new website and app is ridiculous

I have always used the national lottery website or app to place my tickets. But this week the National Lottery have changed the layout of the website and the app into something that is completely ridiculous very hard to use very hard to understand. The old app made life easy, I told you the ticket you bought and if you bought for multiple drawers when your ticket run out. The new app simply does not do that. It is very very very difficult to understand whether I have put my lottery on or not. I don’t know now if I have bought a ticket for tonight’s draw or whether I have to put it on again. I don’t know what the marketing reason behind this was but quite simply they have made an absolute hash of what was a really good system. I am absolutely furious with the way that this has been done and for somebody who finds using app difficulties anyway, they have made something that was completely accessible into something that is completely complicated to understand. I thought the National Lottery was for everybody and for everybody to access it regardless of the abilities to be able to use technology or not. I will no longer be playing National Lottery using this method as I don’t trust it and cannot tell whether I have put on my lottery numbers or not. I would like them to reverse this system back to the way it was because the new system is utterly ridiculous and a waste of money. Whoever is behind this one sacking immediately. I would recommend that the more people complain about this the quicker that these corporate fools will have to change things back to the way they were. If I could give zero stars, I would but I’m restricted to what I can give so one star is old you will get from me.

Rachel Reeves investigate The National Lottery!!

There online instant games really do need investigating by the gaming commission as I don’t believe the odds they list on winning and of late nearly impossible to even win a £1 and it’s also wrong to state you’ve won a £1 on the rare occasion in the distant past as you have NOT won you’ve just got your stake back!

The new App is absolutely terrible and so unreliable take money without showing your game etc

Whoever is running the lottery now is just not up to the job and just hide behind’ good causes’ and many who get money are not good causes at all in my opinion!
