Highlr recommended Architect for end to end service

We first met Kate after seeing her comment on an Instagram post regarding tricky planning conditions. At the time, we were coming off the back of two rejected applications—including a failed appeal—and were feeling very despondent about our project.

I sent Kate a DM and she replied immediately. She was intrigued by our project and offered to review our documents and provide advice without any expectation of working together.

Her response was so thorough that it reignited our hope of building a side extension in a conservation area. With her guidance, our application was approved on the first attempt with no conditions—and for more space than we had originally expected!

Kate has exceptional knowledge of planning laws and is sensitive to the character of existing buildings, yet she provides spatial ideas that truly bring out the best in a renovation. I wholeheartedly recommend her

Great experience with a grade II renovation

We brought Loud on board to handle a full renovation of our Grade II listed terraced home in London — from the initial planning and feasibility work all the way through to the contractor tender stage. Kate and her team brought forward a range of thoughtful ideas, guided us clearly through each step, and were pivotal in navigating the council process to secure both planning permission and listed building consent.

Throughout the project, Kate introduced us to an excellent network of suppliers and specialists, from fixtures and fittings to bespoke joinery. After helping us appoint a contractor, Loud continued to add value with their interior design input, particularly their signature ‘wow-factor’ approach to colour. Thanks to their expertise, we now have a beautiful home with the living room, kitchen and powder room as particular highlights.

Kate and team have been fantastic to work with, and we’d happily recommend Kate and her team for any renovation project.

We enlisted the help of Kate from Loud…

We enlisted the help of Kate from Loud Architects for a bathroom and bedroom renovation in our East London Grade II listed terraced house.

We found Kate in an online websearch where we were immediately drawn by her ability to quickly understand our requirements, flexibility to meet with us after work and at our home, and finally how she was able to translate our vision and multiple pinterest boards into achievable building plans. She is a top notch architect but also has fantastic design sense and creativity.

Initially we were going to just use her for our preliminary services of feasibility and helping with our planning application. After just a week of working with her, we realized we wanted her expertise on the entire project because of her skill, knowledge, and keen design eye. She has put together our tender pack for building construction and continues to help us think of creative ways to stay within budget.

Kate is incredibly organized, puts together comprehensive meeting presentations and notes, design updates, precedents, and 'to do lists' for our own research/sourcing needs. She's taken our initial idea of a en-suite and family bath conversion into a bathroom oasis that is beyond our initial imagination. From looking at our saved pinterest items, instagram posts, and houzz boards, she was able to put together a design incredibly in line with our tastes. Her attention to detail blows us away!

We would absolutely recommend Kate and Loud Architects for any architectural and design needs. Once we've saved enough we will be using her for our next kitchen renovation project!

I am thrilled that you’re enjoying the designs and I wish you all the very best in your beautiful home. Thank you also for recommending us. I’m pleased to share that we’ve now worked on three properties on your road, each Grade II listed and each wonderfully unique. Thank you again.
