I live in america and the loungekey is decent here, I've never been denied. The selection of lounges at certain airports like Lax is horrible but overall I enjoyed the experiences. Mexico city lounge access has been my favorite because they acutally had a shuttle to the lounge as soon as i walked through security check. So far, Ive been to lounges in Texas, California, Charlotte, Las vegas, and Miami and Mexico city. My issue is re-registering my card in the app when I was sent a new card. Still not registered in the app but it works when I physically show my crypto.com card at the airports. My old lost card still gives me access in the loungekey app to check out lounges before i go. A little annoying but manageable.
Update: I called longekey and they directed me to the correct link to change my account info for my crypto.com card lounge key access. It synced and works fine now.

I am so surprised at bad reviews about lounge key that I almost feel quilty for not having any problems since I got it with my Visa Platinum card 3 years ago.
I have been using Lounge Key mostly in Europe and I never had any problem using it. I am Etihad and AirSerbia Platinum member and I have been using the Lounge Key whenever I dont have lounge that contracts with these carriers. I love lounge key and I am a happy customer :)

We are using key lounge several years with my family . We really love to use it . But today in casablanca airport pearl lounge when İ wanted to try sandwiches , one of woman and man said me that İ can only take 2 . İt feels me very bad . They are trying to take photos of their products that they are serving . The service of this lounge is so bad . My customer satisfaction is negative .dessert fruits are nearly frozen .

I have written two reviews regarding non access to lounges on several occasions using my loungekey membership. The last review I got a response from loungekey asking for some details. Which I responded to.
Since then I have heard nothing. Obviously the loungekey team are too busy responding to complaints regarding non access to lounges by other loungekey members.
Looking at all the other negative reviews I have now come to the conclusion that loungekey is a scam. I am paying my bank a fee to enable me to use lounges and my bank I assume are paying you for the privilege which is non existent.
I will now be taking this up with my bank.
Please do not respond (that is if you have the time with all the complaints that you seem to get) with, the team will look into it. That response seems to be wearing thin now. No other company would be able to survive with so many negative comments.

Graham Newman

Unfortunately, LoungeKeys partners regularly shut down LoungeKey access at busy times, making it effectively useless as a service. You'll only be able to access the lounge after every other membership type has jumped ahead of you on the waiting list. On several occasions, this has been the full three hours before a flight you're able to access the lounge for.

LoungeKey has become useless at London airports. Since March 2022, when travel started to open up after the Covid pandemic, I am being systematically turned away at all participating London airport lounges.
The explanation is always the same: "The lounge is currently at capacity and we can only take pre-booked customers".
Today is a random Friday morning at the end of October, half term is over, and the peak morning flight activity at Stansted airport has finished. I find this explanation highly unlikely, especially given the fact that this is the probably the tenth time in a row I have been told this.
I have come to believe that this is a deliberate strategy by the lounges to force customer to book in advance, thereby being able to charge more money, which isn't that surprising, given the recent generalised trend to charge more, reduce service or both.
I once regarded the LoungeKey service as the most valuable benefit of my very expensive credit card. This is sadly no longer the case.
Let's try to be constructive here. I do not need an explanation telling me that "the participating lounges can limit access due to capacity". This has always been the case, but obviously things have changed.
What is needed is a new product that fits the new market conditions. For example, charge an additional fee to provide a certain number of free advance bookings. I am sure you have brilliant product teams, please put them to work and give us customers a product that meets our needs. We do not need explanations or excuses.

Just got sent to Smokehouse at Heathrow by LoungeKey. I “checked in” and got a £15 voucher off the bill. Then realised I’ve been charged £20 by LoungeKey. So I’ve literally just paid £5 to walk into some random food place that anybody can walk into. What an absolutely ridiculous programme. Why does that even exist?? I’m just sitting here speechless that a company even sets up that arrangement. Even if they gave you £20 off the bill… what is the point???

To be honest it is not even worth a star, In Holland we had to wait outside with no chance of entering as we were nr 59 on a waiting list, and the women was so rude that she chased everyone outside that was waiting. The Lounge in Doha served airplane food it was also crouded but atleast after a 15 min wait we could enter. Having Loungekey access is worth Nothing !!!!

My Australian Bank has Loungekey as a 'benefit' of joining their Ultimate Credit card. It is false promotion. To access any of the linked lounge/cafe costs USD 32 (approx AUD 50) per visit. An additional USD 32 is charged if I wanted to bring my partner. In exchange of my USD 32 at the Brisbane terminal cafe I would then receive a maximum of AUD 36 off my bill. So if I chose to only have one coffee and a snack, I would be charged USD 32 for AUD 20 worth of food. Scam.......The banker I dealt with had no idea there would be any charge. This is a con.

Absolute waste of time. Time and time again, get refused. Place was empty this last time, yet no room. AVOID

I'm very frustrated to have used your services with a total of 4 visits available and yet you charged my card with a total of $85.79 for my visit. When I presented myself at Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport, I handed the young lady at the counter my cell phone with all the details of those visits, they seemed to be having issues with their system, so she didn't scan the bar code. She chose to take my husband's card instead which is linked to mine, however it is not the main card. I'm very disappointed that nothing was questioned. Make sure that if you are to use the lounge insure to tell them what you want and where it should be charged to, after several emails with the Lounge I was told that their employees have no way of knowing what the benefits are, It is obvious that if I'm giving you the details on my cell it isn't necessary for them to know my benefits.

Another refusal to The lounge at Leeds Bradford Airport as I couldn’t pre book and they say the lounge is full. Embarrassing as friends booked direct as a meeting point only to find I’m not allowed in. What’s the point of being a LoungeKey member? It seems it’s becoming a regular thing!

I was told to send an email with my partners LoungeKey details which I did on 6th September and again on 26th September 2022 to which I've had zero response to.
I was incorrectly charged for one guest on 20th July 2022 for $27.
My partner had a LoungeKey pass which the restaurant didn't scan as they added the guest onto my pass by accident without confirming with me. She stated I've added your partner as a guest so I don't require her LoungeKey details to which I stated I will be charged $27.
We ended up leaving without redeeming the £15 off the final bill price per person at the Big Smoke Taphouse & Kitchen at Luton Airport.
I was informed the money will be refunded as the restaurant stated they won't redeem the receipt which gives a discount of £15 per person from the final bill.
It doesn't make sense to pay $27 to receive £15 off the final bill.

Another refusal for using lounge key and this time at newcastle aspire. Reading below looks like same story to many.
What’s the point of lounge key access and app showing available lounges.
It should serve 2 things: able to prebook lounges via lounge key app, and also show availability.
Really poor service

As both customer and someone who works in travel. As a customer every single lounge is always full and not being able to pre book basically guarantees that. From a travel worker, I know of several lounges where basically LoungeKey is an immediate refusal even if not full and also that pre booking into a lounge is common knowledge and practice everywhere that LoungeKey refuse to acknowledge.

I was charged 32 dollars by lounge key (airport lounge) on a date i was not travelling!! I contacted lounge key on the same day (26 sept 2022) and nothing happened!
Your customer service representative contacted me on the details provided. They claimed that I entered the lounge on 21st October with a guest. I explained that yes I did enter the Amsterdam airport lounge on the date but I was alone. I was actually travelling all by myself. I did not get any response since then and they still did not refund my money!!!
UPDATE:
Still no refund and no contact! Very poor customer service.

It is really frustrating to be a member of the program just to be denied access due to "lounge being full", despite other memberships (like frequent flyer) getting access. Have been denied access twice this month at Aspire Lounge in Amsterdam. Beats the whole point.

Beginning to wonder if loungkey is worth it! 3 times in the last 9 months I've been denied access to an airport lounge due to them being pre booked and up to capacity! Loungkey doesn't provide pre booking so can't win! So frustrating for a frequent traveler 😡😡

Team, i'm very desappointed and frustated by your loungekey service. My user is blocked, i already try to reset my password several times and by app and website, sent messages by loungekey customer support and nobody answers.
Could you please help me ???

Bad selection of lounges.
Looking at whether it is worth getting on my next trip. Two of the terminals I'm flying from just have money off a restaurant (not even enough for a meal and a drink) and the other one has a proper lounge but it's not open for my flight!
