Great concept just many credits wasted on commands that dont fully read

Lovable has honestly been an amazing tool and has helped me push my product beyond the prototype stage, which I really appreciate.

However, I’ve been experiencing repeated issues with how credits are being used.

There have been multiple occasions where I’ve given clear, simple commands and nothing has actually changed in the system, yet credits are still deducted. These are not complex tasks, often just one focused adjustment, but the system either doesn’t complete the task or appears to ignore it entirely.

I also recently had a situation where the system stopped mid command for no clear reason. When I asked why it stopped, it used additional credits just to assess the issue, without actually resolving it, which was frustrating.

I consistently use the thumbs up and thumbs down feedback, and I leave comments when things don’t work, but the same issues keep happening.

I really like the platform and want to keep using it, but it currently feels like credits are being consumed even when the system doesn’t deliver results. That makes it difficult to manage costs, especially when you’re bootstrapping.

At the moment, it feels like you need to budget not just for successful work, but also for when the system doesn’t complete the job, which shouldn’t be the case.

This definitely needs improving.

I'm so frustrated with Lovable

I'm so frustrated with Lovable, a friend of mine recommended, but now I wished I stayed with Wix. I've spent so much money but yet the problems cannot be solved. The Ai agent does not follow prompts. Once I use up all the credits trying to fix a problem, I buy more, but the Ai agent still does not fix the problem,

Finally when I scrap everything and then come to start again and settle for what appears to be usable, and I try to check, guess what, something else breaks and the remaining credits are used up trying to fix the issue, then guess, then am forced to by more credits!

I'm so behind on my project excluding all the time I have wasted because the Ai agent is just not GOOD!

i would not not recommend using Lovable, I guess its not so LOVABLE!

NB: I have screenshots to prove this!

My experience mirrors many other 1-star reviews…

My experience mirrors many other 1-star reviews. While the tech is impressive initially, the business model is deeply flawed:

Non-Existent Support: Human customer service is a ghost town. Your only "help" is the AI, which you must pay for using your own credits. Essentially, you are billed for troubleshooting their own platform's errors.

Opaque Pricing & "Lock-in": The pricing feels borderline predatory. They lure you in with a generous free tier until you’ve invested too much time to leave, then shift the goalposts with ever-changing, non-transparent policies.

The "Scalability" Myth: They promise to handle more traffic with "increased monthly costs," yet provide zero clarity on what those costs actually are. It's a blank check they expect you to sign.

The Lovable Cloud Drain: Avoid Lovable Cloud at all costs. It is a financial black hole. Credits drain and expire at an alarming rate, leaving your project "held hostage" every 24 hours until you top up again.

5. Pricing seems deliberately hidden / non-transparent: " - Show me the pricing for these: Free plan users: upgrade from Tiny to a larger instance by upgrading your plan at anytime Paid plan users: choose a new instance size from the options below: Tiny: great for trying things out Mini: reliable for early projects Small: room to grow with your app Medium: steady choice for regular use Large: confident option for higher demand

The documentation on /integrations/cloud describes the instance sizes and their use cases but does not list specific pricing for each instance tier (Tiny, Mini, Small, Medium, Large). Lovable Cloud uses usage-based pricing, meaning costs scale with how much you use rather than having fixed per-instance prices.

What the docs do say: every workspace gets $25/month free Cloud usage and $1/month free AI usage. A larger instance handles more traffic but increases your Cloud usage costs. You can monitor costs in Settings → Cloud & AI balance.

For exact per-instance pricing, you'd need to check the Cloud tab → Overview → Advanced settings in your project, or contact Lovable support."

Like many others, I found Lovable excellent for rapid MVP development. However, it falls significantly short when it's time to host or scale a business. I encountered a frustrating cycle where the AI repeated the same coding errors, forcing me to spend thousands of dollars on credits just to resolve the same persistent issues. Ultimately, it felt like an expensive dead-end. Despite the strong start, I cannot recommend Lovable for long-term project stability.

they was good but now they stealing people's project
if they detect you are in free mode, bad things they do
they connect the users data backend to their cloud without signal, there must be a choice and ask user "do u want to use lovable's cloud or supabase?"
there may be good user user to decide, and in their cloud user don't get access to modify, so many to say but i give my moth to a dog

Built a fully functional SaaS in weeks…

Built a fully functional SaaS in weeks with no coding experience
I had an idea for a real estate tool and zero technical background. A friend mentioned Lovable so I decided to try it.
What happened next genuinely surprised me. I described what I wanted to build and Lovable started generating real working code immediately. Not a mockup, not a prototype, actual functioning application code.
Within a few weeks I had a complete SaaS product with user authentication, Supabase database integration, Stripe payment processing, PDF upload and AI extraction, a full defect review and editing workflow, billing pages, legal pages, and a custom domain. Things I assumed would require a development team to build.
The prompting interface is intuitive and when something breaks Lovable is usually able to diagnose and fix it in the same session. The Supabase and Stripe integrations work seamlessly without touching a line of code manually.
Is it perfect? No. Complex pixel level document styling still benefits from a developer. But for getting a real product built, tested, and live with paying customers, Lovable delivered something I genuinely did not think was possible for a non technical founder.
dealfixer.ai is live and taking real payments because of Lovable. That says everything.
