Love Velo are a very professional company to deal with, helpful staff who immediately answer enquiries or queries. Tom is amazing, always happy to answer my many questions and tailor our requirements by adding in extra nights along the route. The hotels that they book are of good quality and the bikes are exceptionally comfortable with plenty of pannier space for waterproofs etc. I have just returned from my second Love Velo holiday with a group of 5 friends and I am already researching next year’s location and route. The speed with which Tom produces a quote is amazing, I think I had facts and figures within 30 minutes of my initial enquiry yesterday. Wholeheartedly recommend this company.

What a great cycling holiday
What a great cycling holiday, very pleased we did it Palma to Palencia and not the other way round, which had the steeper climbs, also the scenery improved as we moved to Palencia.
What a range of accommodation, the best without a doubt being the Monaber hotel, what a location and the best food
Best greeting was at the Can Serrete,
The bikes were perfect, alway good when the gears reliably work, the GPS navigation spot on and easy to use
The only change I would make would have been to start in Palma or Cali Pi.

We recently returned from a self guided cycling tour in Croatia (Istria) We’ve been really impressed from our first enquiry to booking, our contact Raphael was extremely helpful and attentive and put together a great tour for us.
Fiore Tours provided the road bikes and although there were a few teething problems with the bikes everything was dealt with very quickly.
In particular we need to give a mention to Srecko from Fiore who was brilliant suggesting changes to our routes (it was 38 degrees so hard going in the heat) restaurants to eat in and taking us part of the way to one of our destinations when we were struggling with the temperatures.
The accommodation was all good we opted for 3 star, our luggage was always there and we were able to check in early when we needed to. We cycled on some fabulous routes and saw some beautiful places off the beaten track, definitely an experience we will treasure.
Would highly recommend Love Velo and hope to do some more trips with them in the future.

Mallorca cycling trip
The two of us booked a cycling holiday in Mallorca, and everything went perfectly - from the smooth transfers and comfortable accommodation to the bikes, which were all set up and ready for us. We could just relax and enjoy the trip without a single worry. The Mallorca Route Guide was fantastic, leading us through unforgettable places like Sóller, Sa Calobra, and Cap de Formentor.
We both agree this was one of the best trips we’ve taken. Everything was so well-organized and seamless, with great communication throughout. The customer service really stood out. Massive shoutout to Amanda, who helped us every step of the way, making sure everything was in order and ready. Her friendly and helpful attitude made the experience better.
We’d absolutely recommend it. :))

Excellent customer service from Tom and the team. Now on our 5th booking with them, twice to the Domomites,Mallorca, Portugal and in three weeks time to Girona. I love the friendly way in which everything is organised. We have dealt with Tom from the beginning of our travels with LV and he seems to know what we want from whenever we say a destination. This makes us use LV repeatedly. The hotels are fab, the transfers have all run super smoothly, the bikes have always been perfect for us and I love the way he can tailor the trip to our needs.

Love Money, Not Velo
Initially booked for a shared room in La Plagne for L'etape du Tour but months later they came back to say they couldn't find anyone to share a room with but could offer 3 nights for £1000 single occupancy. No thanks! So I took the entry only option and used a local campsite which I got for 100 euro for 7 nights. They also said they would issue contact details In case customers needed support but that never came. Also, they never provided any dedicated feedstop as far as I could see. I did see Sportstours International but not LoveVelo.

However we were surprised to read your review, as this is the first time these concerns have been raised. We have reached out privately to discuss them with you directly but have not yet received a response and we would still very much welcome the opportunity to do so.
In the meantime having reviewed your booking, we’d like to clarify a few points that have been omitted from your review to provide the full context: Your original enquiry was for race entry only. You were subsequently offered an optional upgrade package that included three nights shared accommodation (on the basis we could pair you with another rider to share a room), transfers and on-the-ground logistical support. By March, we had unfortunately been unable to match you with another guest. At this point, providing over three months’ notice, we offered you a private apartment at a reduced additional rate of only £60 per night (on top of the package price you had already agreed to pay), or the option to revert to your original race-entry-only booking. At this point you notified us you had decided to stay outside of La Plagne and you chose to return to the entry-only option, which we duly honoured so that you could make your own arrangements.
Regarding contact details, your confirmation documentation included a 24/7 contact number, which remained active throughout the event and was available to you should you have required any assistance. For this reason, we do not agree with your suggestion that this information was not provided.
For all our riders, we had a full operations team on the ground in La Plagne throughout the weekend. For those booked on our logistical packages, we operated exclusive Love Velo shuttle services, warm-up rides, pre-race briefings, airport and race village transfers, mechanical support, pre-event nutrition and hydration webinars, and much more. As you opted not to take any additional logistical services and, by your own admission, stayed elsewhere, we fully appreciate that you may not have seen or interacted with our team, however, support was absolutely in place, and we therefore strongly refute any suggestion that it was not.
We genuinely value constructive feedback and are always looking to improve. That said, we believe your review omits key information, particularly around pricing (which is presented in a way we feel is misleading) and the level of support provided, resulting in a version of events that does not fairly reflect the service or options made available to you.
We are sorry if the experience did not meet your expectations, and hope that this response, along with our direct emails, helps to clarify matters. We remain very happy to speak further should you wish.

Girona and Love Velo were great
The booking process was simple and the team were very helpful coordinate separate payments from our 8 man party. They were knowledgeable about the Girona area and provided a good set of routes which we used as a basis for our own but we wanted some longer ones so extended theirs. The hotel was good but at the top of a steep hill which was challenging at the end of the day.
All the transfers were on time. Would definitely use Love Velo again and this is my thrid time going with them.
Girona is a great destination for cycling. Quiet roads, lots of climbs (steady rather than alpine steepness) and great scenery. City is compact and pretty with plenty of bike shops and restaurant options

Ventoux for my 50th
I got in touch with Love Velo to help plan a cycling trip to Bedoin to climb Ventoux for 10 people for my 50th.
After much forwards and backwards Oli and the team found out the most lovely hotel 2.4miles out of Bedoin that was clean, super helpful staff and a honesty bar( don’t come across those these days)
They organised pick up and drop off for the party, some with bike boxes in a luxury merc bus. They sorted bike hire out, right up to the week before we were changing bike hire requirements, never an issue and when we came to collect it was seamless. A first class service, a trip never to forget.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand your review relates to your request to cancel your booking. As explained at the time, your travel dates unfortunately fell within the full cancellation period of both your booking and the suppliers’ terms. We explored several options on your behalf, but unfortunately none were possible.
We also offered to provide all relevant documentation for your travel insurer, but you advised that you had not taken out travel insurance. While this was your choice, we always strongly recommend securing travel insurance at the time of booking, and this was clearly highlighted in all your booking documents, as we consider it essential for covering unforeseen circumstances.
We appreciate that the situation was frustrating, but your review appears to contradict your own comments to us at the time. You acknowledged that there was little that could be done and any recourse for compensation was not possible, stating:
"I completely understand losing deposits and even full payments on any accommodations that are not refundable and the cost of your time, I am not looking to cause your company any loss. I would appreciate it if you could consider looking into this and seeing if any portion can be refunded as the funds would be helpful at this time, if not I understand, and would be a lesson learned for me to get trip insurance next time."
As mentioned, we investigated all possible options, but for the reasons outlined above, we were unable to recover any of the payments. At the time, you acknowledged this and thanked us for looking into it. The next correspondence we received from you was this review.
Despite reaching out and highlighting the above directly, you have unfortunately left your review. While we respect your right to share your experience, we hope this explanation provides context and a clearer understanding of the circumstances.

I highly recommend Love Velo. Firstly it was the best structured website in terms of simplicity and being able to instantly understand the packages available.They then organise bike hire, car hire and hotels, all of whom were easy to deal with. For the cycling they provide gpx of the main routes and some lesser known rides. always on hand to support with questions on the detail.

Cycling in Mallorca
Just finished a 7 night cycling trip in Mallorca. LoveVelo did a great job of planning all the airport transfers and hotel accommodations. They also provided recommended cycling routes for our trip. They were very easy to work with. We iterated our trip 3 times during the planning phase until we agreed on the perfect fit. I would definitely recommend LoveVelo for coordinating your next cycling trip!

Had my first cycling holiday in…
Had my first cycling holiday in Mallorca and it was a success , can't wait to do more . Lovevelo supplied routes but I was tagging on to another group from the UK so just followed their lead . The hotel , transfers and bikes organised from lovevelo were more than satisfactory .
Im 57, new to cycling and probably not tech savvy; Lovevelo is a young and fresh company probably used to young, fresh and tech savvy customers. A late mail delivery on my side cost me a few extra bucks for another bike . But other than that everything progressed smoothly .

I'm rating our Algarve Tour in two parts – arranging the tour and delivering.
We arranged the tour through LoveVelo. It was difficult from the moment we picked their tour. First my deposit using a credit card was rejected see photos and I was advised to make a bank transfer. I just can't understand why a company selling to Americans cannot make their credit card system work all the time in America.
We've looked at the routes being key to the success of our tour. Our first note was GPSx ready in two weeks of 250409 see photos. Later LoveVelo said GPXs were out of their control see photos. Our flights to Lisbon were on May 8th, the GPSx came on the 6th see photos. On May 1st I started working on routes starting with the hotels and putting in as much shoreline as I could. I would not take the chance of being in Portugal using a small screen to figure out routes.
BikeSul – 5
BikeSul's van with our bicycles inside picked us up in Faro and drove us to Tavira to start our tour. The driver was the person who prepared our routes. He clearly told me the benefits and shortcomings of our route. We could have avoided lots of traffic by riding inland. Since we wanted to ride along the coast he avoided as much traffic as possible. We're from CT, ride along the shore, and know there's heavy traffic on US1 which cannot always be avoided. There also was heavy traffic in and out of the cities where are hotels were. I did not see any parallel routes would have reduced traffic. Our route was picturesque – ocean, beaches, cliffs, hills, wind turbines, etc.

Just got back from Majorca
Just got back from the Flatlands Tour of Majorca. Had a great time with great routes, the hotels were really great and the bike hire company was great too. They phoned me a couple of weeks before our trip to ask if it was ok to drop our bikes off the evening before our first riding day, we were arriving at lunchtime so it wasn’t a problem.
This was my 4th trip with Love Velo and they have all been great, great organisation, great hotels, great routes and great bikes.
