Repeated cancellations leaving us without a venue
We booked a hall for a family event through Lowcost Hall Hire and had three separate venues in south east London cancelled on us within a single month. In two of those cases, we had already paid a deposit and signed a hire agreement, so we believed the bookings were secure.
Because our event is in early December, the final cancellation left us with very little time to find an alternative venue. We are now also out of pocket with other suppliers we had already booked for the day.
To be fair, the staff we dealt with were friendly and polite, and our deposit was returned. However, good manners don’t make up for the fundamental problem: bookings were accepted for halls that weren’t available, and this happened repeatedly.
We’re very disappointed and would not recommend Lowcost Hall Hire to anyone who needs to be confident their booking will actually go ahead.
