Solar panels and battery system
After speaking to a number of different local businesses LR we're by far the most helpful. They had the whole system installed within two days and we have been saving money ever since. Would highly recommend.

We decided to purchase an extra Growatt battery for our existing solar system. Found LR online. Very competitive price including installation. Comms were v good. Choice of installation date was quick. They arrived on schedule. Job done and all working ok.

We had 9.6kwh LuxPower Greenlinx installed a few weeks ago.
I had enquired with several companies to learn about house battery options / prices. I already had solar and wanted an ev point installed at the same time.
Luke at LR was excellent and put up with my many questions, and did a great job to get a solution within my budget.
The install was done within a few weeks, all very tidy.
The Greenlinx batteries are 100% DOD and working well. We partially charge overnight and soak up excess solar during the day.
Great service from LR Renewables and have already recommended to a friend.

I contacted about 5 suppliers at first and L R Renewables were the only one that did not bombard me with pressure phone calls.
I had a load of questions and Luke answered them all for me. Install was arranged for 9.30 start but they were stuck in traffic so did not arrive until just after 10.00 but they did ring to tell me they were delayed (the usual Birmingham traffic)
When they arrived they started straight away, weather turned wet but they kept going regardless.
The installation team were an absolute pleasure to deal with (no "building site" language at all)
There were no issues as I am aware of, all completed in about 6 hours and up and running.
I would definitely use again if I need anything and would ask for the same installers

I was so impressed with the savings I was getting I decided to add an additional 6kW battery. Install took about two hours without any issues

Having had a new system installed 12 months ago, I'd determined another battery would be ideal in our system. I went to my supplier who surprised me with a ridiculously high cost for installing one. That's when I found LR Renewables. They quoted me a much more reasonable amount. I asked a lot of questions and they were prepared to answer all of them. The installation was flawless with the installers spending the time to help answer more of my questions. They even managed to provide the software settings' password which the initial installers refused to pass on to me. So to sum up: good communication (via WhatsApp, and phone calls from their engineers), they installed in the time slot they said they would, tidy installation with no fuss. I would use this company again.

Today is the 1 year anniversary of my 6.5 KW battery install.
My initial enquiries were answered promptly by both Luke and Stevie, and at no time were they pushy to persuade me to buy their product. I didn't need much convincing as their price was very competitive.
Prior to battery install my elec consumption was around 2500 units per annum. This year I have imported only 1400 units so the results speak for themselves. Any Summertime excess electricity from solar panels goes into my plug in hybrid.
All in all, chuffed to bits.

This is the second time I have used LR, they fitted a GivEnergy hybrid inverter and small battery about a year ago. They were excellent then, GivEnergy can be difficult to deal with when things don't go smoothly and Luke and LR were on the ball and got things sorted. This time I wanted to get the GivEnergy All-In-One system as once GE products are installed and working they are good. Liam came to install and was done within a few hours. GivEnergy software and commissioning meant he spent the afternoon with me trying to get them to sort out the system. After that Luke took over and got them eventually to escalate the problem meaning that my slightly non standard install was up and running as quickly as possible. So customer support is great from LR, all the staff especially Stevie, Luke and Liam were patient and professional. The work is first rate and will use them again if I need more done.

I came across this company via a recommendation from a friend.
I approached them (Along with a number of other companies) and out of all of them, L&R took the time to go through my endless list of queries (whereas the others didn't!)
The guys at L&R have been exceptionally professional and helpful throughout, from my first inquiry, till my final installation.
I don't think you can get a more awkward, skeptical and inquisitive customer than Me! But no matter what I threw at L&R, they came back in a timely and friendly manner and actually answered all my questions to my satisfaction.
The day of the install was smooth and hassle free, (Special mention to Sam, Thank you)
I would have no hesitation in recommending this company and will certainly be singing their praises to all and sundry!

Clear information and options from the sales staff and patient with answers to my questions during my search for quotations from various suppliers. Engineer was on time, installation went smoothly and quickly finished in 2 to 3 hours. Quick set up with the app. Having lost connection with the system, (not their cause), via the app, support we're very helpful resolving the situation and in providing answers to my questions. They also provided links to online help.

Purchased Growatt 5kw battery from LR Renewables in August 2023. This company is a breath of fresh unlike other companies I got battery quotes from, other companies would harass me every couple of days not allowing me time to decide. LR Renewables tell you the price first unlike other who don’t. My PV inverter is made to last 20 years plus, the other to battery companies tried to con me to replace the PV Inverter costing me more and creating unneeded waste to the environment. Luke and Stevie in the office were very helpful provided me with the correct information I needed to help make up my mind. No hard pressure to buy from LR Renewables just honest information and excellent customer service. On the day of fitting Eden and Oakley were on time, very hardworking wouldn’t stop to eat or drink just got straight on with the job - a credit to the company. Throughout the installation Oakley and Eden communicated very well with me and each other explaining what was happening. Phoned accounts to pay the lady I spoke to was very informed about my job and took payment and was lovely on the phone just like Stevie and Luke. When I decide to buy additional storage no hesitation I will just be contacting LR Renewables. To round up my experience dealing with this company (1) Honest,open and competitive pricing. (2) knowledgeable and professional staff. (3) No pressure or hard sell unlike other companies out there. (4) Professional company to deal with. (5) Very happy customers, will use again and highly recommend.

Installed a hybrid inverter and 5kw battery to supplement my 4kw solar panels. Communication was good before and after the installation and the engineer on the day was polite and did a good job. I'm very happy with the installation and it's already drastically reduced my electricity bill. The price was competitive and I have no hesitation in recommending Lr Renewables.

When looking for an additional battery for my Growatt PV system I first got a quote from the original installer. In shopping around I obtained a quote for the same battery from LR which was 25% cheaper than the first. LR were easy to deal with (Stevie is outstandingly helpful) and the install team turned up as arranged and had the battery installed in 20 minutes. My only gripe was that the team had no job paperwork with them (using someone else's van apparently) and had to hand write a job card and were not able to leave the battery manual.
However, that is of no consequence. This is a good company and I wish that I had known about LR when I purchased the original system.

We had a battery system installed to complement our solar installation. Liam and the team at LR were very responsive and were able to book us in within 10 days to have the equipment installed. Everybody else we spoke to had lead times in months; if they answered an enquiry at all. Really can't fault these guys.. even followed up a week later with a call to make sure we were happy.

These guys really have renewables tucked up in bed. Info, installation, instruction and the install teams are nice respectful guys. We had an issue on a Thursday in Anglesey and they had a team here on Tuesday, all sorted.
They’re looking in to Wind Turbines, which we have. Watch this space for Wind/Solar packages 😎👍🏻

They added an AC coupled battery to our existing installation. I have zero complaints and can only recommend LR Renewables. They communicate well, are professional and did a tidy job. The solution is working well and saving us money.

I initially selected the wrong type of charger / inverter. They corrected that and dropped the installation price. I am so impressed.

I feel like I have been treated like a valuable customer, rather than a fence to be jumped to get payment.

Post install admin was very polite.

I had an issue whereby the batteries no longer charged. I contacted the equipment installers who were reluctant to investigate the issue due to me buying my latest additional battery from LR Renewables because of their cheaper prices. I was advised that the issue was to do with battery balancing, and as I did not buy my latest battery from them, I needed to go back to LR Renewables.
I contacted LR Renewables who were so helpful, no quibbling, no denying responsibility. I spoke to Stevie, who immediately recognised me as I bought my latest additional battery with her wrap around support during installation.
She listened and said they would investigate.
The investigation was substantial as the issue was nothing to do with battery balancing as I was originally told, but a fault in the LUX inverter which required both LUX and Uhome battery engineers to resolve. A total firmware update was required to the LUX inverter to fix the issue, co-ordinated by Stevie of LR Renewables. Luckily this could be done remotely which reduced the time to fix the issue by at least 3 days.
This is what I call 'real' customer service as I did not buy the system from LR Renewables, and they could of argued that until the issue is proved to be the additional battery bought from them, go back to your original suppliers.
Issue has been fixed for 2 weeks now and system is working perfectly.
A BIG THANK you Stevie and LR Renewables. I wholly recommend your customer service and expertise to anyone and everyone.

We wanted to add a battery system to our 10 year old solar system. After a bit of research LR renewable seemed to have good reviews and fair prices. I cant lie, we had to have a few visits to sort out some problems and I'm still not a 100% happy with some of the finished wiring but finally everything works and They did get things sorted in the end. As a small business owner i know things don't always go to plan but the guys came back and got things sorted. Thanks.
