Lucid Candle is in the Dark Ages on Customer Service!
I ordered product from this company which I knew was in the USA. Because they quoted me in Canadian dollars, I thought they had a warehouse in Canada from which orders were shipped. There was no mention of duty, taxes, brokerage fees etc. Imagine my shock getting a notice from UPS that I owed an amount equal to 60% of the purchase price!!! The fact that there were additional charges was not mentioned on my invoice. I believe this is fraudulent at worst and at best, misleading selling practices. Lucid Candle told me the information on duty, etc. was contained in the FAQ section of their website. WRONG ANSWER. As an international order, there should have been an Immediate pop up advising me about the additional charges and what they would be. As the vendor, they should know this information. I received no apology, just arrogance and attitude. To make matters worse, they charged me shipping and a $10 cancellation fee. International customers beware! Not a company I plan to do business with in the future.
