Refund Came Only After Formal Dispute Pressure
Lucky Buddha froze my account after I requested a redemption and then put me through an extended compliance process. I cooperated fully, completed the requested verification, and submitted the W-9 they asked for.
After that, I was led to believe the issue was compliance-related and that I should submit the redemption again. They then told me the redemption had to go back to the same card used for purchases, but the card-entry field was returning an “invalid value” error, making it impossible to submit the redemption through the method they required.
Only after all of that did they change the explanation and claim my account was closed for “fraud / bonus-abuse.” I strongly dispute that characterization. I made purchases through their own purchase system, received the package contents they chose to offer, played through their platform, completed their verification requests, and attempted to redeem through their redemption process.
In my view, the handling of this matter has been extremely unreasonable. If they are going to close the account and refuse redemption, then they should refund the purchases rather than keeping the money after denying access to the account and redemption process.
I am still giving Lucky Buddha the opportunity to resolve this directly, but based on my experience so far, I would strongly caution others to document everything, keep copies of all correspondence, and be very careful before purchasing.
**Update:** Lucky Buddha ultimately refunded my purchase amount after significant dispute pressure and after I sent a formal arbitration notice. I am updating this review to acknowledge that the purchase refund was issued.
However, the refund does not change my view of how the matter was handled. My account was frozen after a redemption request, I completed the compliance process, submitted the requested W-9, and was led through additional redemption and payout-method discussions before Lucky Buddha later claimed “bonus abuse” and refused the redemption.
They eventually refunded the underlying purchases, but they did not pay the redemption I believe was legitimately owed. In my opinion, the refund only happened because I pushed the matter hard, documented everything, and made clear that I was prepared to proceed through arbitration.
My review remains because I believe other players should know the full sequence: Lucky Buddha accepted purchases, allowed play, required compliance and tax documentation, refused the redemption, initially refused refund, and only later refunded purchases after escalation.
I would strongly caution anyone using this site to keep screenshots, save all emails, document every redemption request, and be prepared to dispute the matter formally if a redemption is delayed or denied.
