Very Disappointing Experience

Very Disappointing Experience – Be Careful Before Buying

I contacted this company about their taxi dispatch system listed on CodeCanyon. The licence price initially looked reasonable, but once we started discussing the setup and support, the situation became very different.

After going through the details, it became clear that the real cost structure could become extremely high. When everything was explained, the pricing looked like it could reach around £10,000 per month in total costs, which is about £120,000 per year. For a taxi dispatch system, that is completely unrealistic.

To put this in perspective, many well-known SaaS taxi dispatch platforms used by large taxi companies cost around £500–£1,000 per month, often including proper support and infrastructure. The pricing model here simply did not make sense compared to what the market normally charges.

What made the situation worse was the way the conversation was handled. When I questioned the pricing, instead of explaining it properly, I received unprofessional and disrespectful replies, including comments about my age rather than answering the business questions.

For the record, I have more than 35 years of business experience and hold an MSc in Business with Marketing, so I understand very well how technology platforms and pricing models work.

My advice: keep away from these people. Be very careful before dealing with them because the costs can quickly become excessive. Make sure you understand exactly what you are being charged for.

If anyone wants to verify what happened, I have the full email conversation and call recording.
