I had the pleasure to travel different cities in Iran with Lupine in October 2023.
Communication up front was clear with the office, and visa invitation letters were organized.
The group was pleasant company, I feel that people travelling with Lupine don't complain so much, so it went really smooth.
Both the local guide (Niloo) and the international guide (Dan) have done great in making this tour a good experience for everyone in the group.
Transport was very convenient in a touringcar, giving enough space for everyone. The driver was very experienced.
Choice of hotels, restaurants and sights was well balanced. And despite the group size it allowed for some personal wishes to be honoured.
The less restricted passport holders were given freedom to move around cities.
Overall, a very positive experience, and I will definitely recommend others to travel with Lupine.

Outstanding tour company offering tours to some of the world's most fascinating places.

I did a trip with Lupine Travel in Algeria last month and already can't wait to do more!

Lupine are a tour company specialising in trips to lesser visited, difficult-to-access destinations. However, Lupine helps keen travellers to access them in a safe and enjoyable way.

One thing that I particularly noticed about Lupine was the excellent communication from the office staff from the moment of booking (or even before, when I had some questions about the trip!). Everything was taken care of promptly and efficiently, and all my questions answered thoroughly.

I also appreciate how many efforts Lupine goes to to make sure that their guests feel comfortable and safe. Algeria is a safe destination anyway, but after this trip I'd feel comfortable travelling with Lupine to some of the more "dangerous" places it offers tours to, because I got a real sense that safety was their top priority.

Our tour leader, Sean, was fantastic - friendly, helpful and responsible while also having a good time! Also, all of the on the ground staff in Algeria were fantastic and gave us some incredible insights into life in this country.

I have only good things to say about this tour, and am already thinking about what tour will be my next!

This is our second trip with Lupine and we have already booked our third (and possibly fourth).
We went on The Five Stans tour in the first half of October 2023, it's a fantastic tour of five similar, but very different, countries.
The tour involves a lot of travelling by road and also an overnight train journey (which was a lot of fun). During the journeys you get to see local life, beautiful scenery and experience and variety of road surfaces (some of which we wouldn't recommend after a meal!).
The accommodation was varied - from a basic tent to a fabulous hotel in Dushanbe. The Asia chain of hotels in Uzbekistan are very comfortable and pleasant. Towards the end of the trip, as the countries became most Soviet-influenced, the hotels became more quirky - but were reasonable.
Other sights include a variety of bazaars, mausoleums, mosques, churches and museums (may have piqued on the broken pottery and coins front) - but nothing is compulsory.
From our point of view, the food was, on the whole, good; however these are very meat eating countries so vegetarians may struggle to find any variety. This is not an issue with Lupine, rather something that those with food preferences/requirements need to research beforehand.
Lupine's pre-travel support was excellent and the tour leader was awesome.
We would highly recommend booking with Lupine for a real travelling experience with like-minded individuals.

Overall very good tour of the 5 stans allowing us to see the highlights in short amount of time. The tour leader Nick was amazing. Some reservation communications and local ground handling/guides can probably be improved. Will do tours with them again if the itinerary is right.

The Lupine Iran tour was well organized with with a possibility of taking slight changes that everyone was pleased. The local guide was awesome and showed professionally and love to her job. We felt being well accompanied.

I've just been on an Iran trip with Lupine. I was the very last to check-in to the Tour and Megan & Cara made it possible. They've been so kind to let me jump on the tour last second. Dan has been our lupine tour leader and Niloofar our Local Leader. Both have done an absolutly great job. I suffered a bad stomach at the start of the tour and they constantly asked for my health situation and gave good stuff like ginger tea. On the other hand, it was not easy to find vegan food, but they always searched for good restaurants upfront. Logistics aside: iran is stunning!

Good value well organised trips to unusual destinations. We did 6 days in Algeria - something new every day - excellent local guides.

My first tour with Lupine was this one. The tour was exceptionally well
planned. Everything went smoothly, including the local guide and office
communications. For solo travelers, a very reasonable and enjoyable tour. I
experienced a wonderful journey full of breathtaking scenery, meeting
fascinating people and other culture. I wouldn't think twice about
booking with Lupine Travel again, and I now feel like a member of the
Lupine family. I am looking forward to travel with Lupine again!

The tour in Algeria with Lupine was very well organised. From the communication with the office to the local guide, everything went well! I can't recommend enough Lupine Travel for unusual destinations!

Second tour with Lupine (Burundi, Rwanda & DR Congo) and again everything was very good.

Words just cannot describe how incredible this experience was. Massive shoutout to the kindness and professionalism to our Lupine guide Murshidah and our local guide Anton who were both exceptional in their roles on this tour. This is my second Lupine tour and I will certainly be booking more in the future!!

Amazing tour. The guides and tour managers are very experienced, super helpful and make the booking and pre-departure processes easy to navigate and the actual tour was unforgettable. I wouldn't hesitate traveling with Lupine Travel again. In fact I highly recommend them!

Lupine offers really affordable and enjoyable tours to far flung destinations. They are an outstanding company to choose. Our trip to Central Asia was incredible!

I recently embarked on my first tour with Lupine Travel, and I must say, it was a memorable and fun experience. The Central Asia (5 Stans) tour was well organized and we had plenty of delightful adventures filled with awe-inspiring landscapes, fascinating cultures and unforgettable moments. I must point out that the best part of the trip would be the people in all the places we visited. I would definitely book another trip organized by Lupine. The team promptly responded and efficiently handled all my concerns and I felt that they truly cared in creating a remarkable travel experience for the group. The guides are all knowledgeable, ready to share insights and patiently answered all my questions. The accommodations were comfortable and centrally-located. The arrangements for transportation through the five countries were seamless with punctual pickups and comfortable vehicles. I wholeheartedly recommend this Central Asia tour organized by Lupine to fellow adventurers and I look forward to my next journey with Lupine.

Everything: the tour operators, the sights, the group, the food and especially the weather.

Seven days of sunshine, unlike the online weather report that shows mostly showers. Maybe they do that as I was told at the Ottawa Algerian Embassy that they don't want tourists!!!

Another fabulous tour arranged by lupine travel. First class from start to finish including pre-trip instructions, itinery, delivery etc. great guides too. Great opportunity to meet like minded more extreme travellers.

Wonderful 16 day tour through the 5 Stans starting in other worldly Turkmenistan (felt like the set of a science fiction movie) and the unique burning gas crater, into beautiful Uzbekistan with the unique turquoise coloured mosques and crazy bazaars. Tajikistan was a hidden gem - beautiful scenery, mountain passes and an excellent capital Dushanbe. Kyrgystan had the most beautiful scenery of all - a real surprise. 3 days to decompress in the capital Bishkek then ending up in Almaty in Kazakhstan - didn’t expect to find a Beatles statue there

Another great tour with Lupine visiting the five Stans. Really professional and customer orientated company with trips to interesting destinations. The tour was well run and great value, and the Lutine tour leader was fantastic, as were the local guides. I have been on trips with Lupine a few times now, and they never disappoint.

We joined the May 2023 trip to Syria and were very satisfied we did it with Lupine Travel. They arranged visas with no problems and immediately allayed our fears about safety through their excellent local guide, Mohammed, and tour leader Bob Clerx. The itinerary was very well structured and covered all the main historical sites in Syria. The hotels were comfortable and thoughtfully selected and the food was overall better than we expected. We would strongly recommend this tour to other adventurously-minded travelers. Given our positive experience in Syria, we are also planning to use Lupine for other Middle Eastern tours such as Iran & Iraq.
