My family's experience working with Lusitano Dreams was not only a total success, but Dallas made the challenging process of moving abroad much less stressful -- and even fun! My family worked with Lusitanodreams for two separate leases: one room lease in fall 2023 to secure tax residency and NHR status for my wife and me amid the chaos surrounding the surprise announcement of the end of NHR, and a house lease in spring 2024 for our family's visa applications. Both leases were a breeze to set up even when we were faced with a time crunch from the surprise end of NHR and both were accepted without question or comment by the tax and immigration authorities. We have heard about Lusitano Dreams for a while now via Expats Everywhere and knew we wanted to give it a try when we got closer to our move timeframe to Portugal.
Enter the NHR tax changes in 2023 and we pulled our timeline forward.
We could NOT have accomplished a successful NHR application without the amazing and cost effective service for a Tax Authority Registered Lease with Lusitano Dreams.
Dallas scheduled a Zoom call with my wife and I to discuss our housing requirements and accelerated timeline. We were able to agree on an apartment, the rent, and then complete the process remotely with electronic signatures. In addition, paying our rent electronically has been a breeze.

We became aware of Lusitano Dreams through our circle-of-trust network of contacts that we have cultivated while planning our emigration to Portugal. We originally planned to move to Portugal in 2025, but after the news of the end of the current NHR Tax regime, we had to take a wild swing at making it over there before the end of 2023—using the Expression of Interest strategy. One of the critical pieces to executing this strategy was to have a lease in hand, which Lusitano Dreams provided for us at blazing speed. 

 Ultimately, and sadly our plan to move there early wasn’t actually feasible, so we couldn’t act on it. But, being the quality professionals that Dallas and his team are, they honored the same refund terms as they do for D7 applicants who are unable to secure their Visa. This was despite the fact that our situation didn’t technically fall under the purview of their D7 Visa terms and conditions. This showed a lot of integrity!
Dallas does not put up with foolishness, but if you are honest and ready to honor the intent of his D7 compatible lease strategy, you can’t find a better partner for the endeavor. We are so confidant in this team that we plan to use them again in 2025 when we are going to try this all again.

During my recent visit to Portugal to consider moving there, I had the pleasure of meeting Dallas, the creative owner of Lusitano Dreams. Dallas's unique business model reduces the burden and risk of the mandatory one-year lease that accompanies the D7 visa process. His creative 12-month lease contracts feature a 90-day exit clause, elminiating the problem of signing a long-term lease sight unseen (see YouTube for people arriving to their remotely secured one-year rentals in Portugal only to be greeted by nasty surprises, like unlivable plumbing odors and street noise).

D7 visa services like Ei!, which handles the NIF, Portugese bank account and visa application, do scout apartments on behalf of clients. But they do not adequately mitigate the risk entailed in a one-year lease commitment. With Lusitano Dreams, internationalists can settle into one of Dallas's properties as they conduct a search for an ideal long-term residence as it should be: in person.

Also, as an out-of-the-box, strategic thinker, Dallas can help internationalists craft a viable relocation plan. His willingness to share advice and insights, despite my not being an official client, stood out remarkably. I met a few happy clients of his and witnessed his excellently appointed rental properties in Cascais and Lisbon. This, combined with my positive experience renting one of his listings in Cascais for a few days, underscores Dallas's dedication to assisting those planning a move to Portugal. I'll definitely use the services of Lusitano Dreams if I decide to move forward with the D7 visa process. It helps take the risk out of the Portugal dream.

I was introduced to Dallas’ business through a referral. I was very pleased with his business model. It’s specifically designed to help expats relocate to Portugal. The Skiffy studio I have been staying is in an ideal location. Very safe and close to a metro station. I was able to walk from home from Metro back to the studio after midnight on quite a few occasions feeling safe. The studio has everything for a few month stay, including a printer for your immigration needs. As an expat himself, Dallas provided a lot of good advice on my immigration process. I highly recommend his business to anyone who plan to move to Portugal and need a place to stay.

Dallas and his team at Lusitano went above and beyond to assist me and my family with our D7 application. Having moved countries before, we were reluctant to commit to a very expensive lease agreement on a property that would meet our family's requirements before having any form of visa approval. I have lived in Carvoeiro, Algarve since March 2022 when I arrived with my D7 visa. I was born in South Africa and lived in So California for 40 years. Last month July 2023, I was on my way up North to look for a place to purchase in Cascais on my solo scouting trip and had no where to stay while I was in the process of my search. I found Lustino dreams online and Dallas was very quick to respond to my email request and by sheer chance he had the Boardwalk apartment available for my needs. When i walked in the front door all i could say was WOW - is this place available for sale? Unfortunately it isn't for sale he said. It was a really great stay. The apartment was spacious, clean, well furnished and equipped and the views were absolutely breathtaking. The apartment is on the 7th floor and you can see the sea and all along the coast and across Cascais and Estoril and Lisbon. Dallas and his team were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them to ensure i had a comfortable and stress free stay.
