What a rip off!

What a rip off!! Bought an online ticket from ‘Luton Airport Parkway’ heading north and when I tried to hop the Dart shuttle, I was told to pay £4.90 for a one stop, one minute ride! I don’t know any other UK airport that charges for its rail shuttle?! Fuming, I bought a ticket and headed to Parkway, only to be stopped at the gates for my platform and refused entry to my EMR train. I was told to wait in a corner for an hour before I could access the platform. The same DART employee sneered and said “That’s what you get with advance tickets!” Though why he was operating an EMR gate I do not know. Totally appalled by DART and hope never to use them again. I’m walking the 500 yards on my return!!

Luton Airport Express' advert on TV

Luton Airport Express' advert on TV is one of the most misleading ones I have ever come across.

1. They purport to transport you to Luton Airport from St Pancras. They do not tell that at Luton Airport Parkway station you have to change onto a completely different Shuttle run by an entirely different company, the DART shuttle service at extra cost: £4.90p per passenger for a 3.2 Km [2 miles ride]. This makes it the most expensive rail journey in Europe by far.

2. The Company do not tell you that they have abolished the bus shuttle service that used to run between Luton Airport Parkway and the Airport at far less cost to the passenger.

3. The Advert pretends to advertise a service From as little as £10 per passenger from St Pancras to Luton Airport or vice versa. The Real Price is £22.40 per passenger, more than double!!! A complete rip-off!!
