I paid Luxury Home Cleaning (Imogen and Andrew Taylor) an extremely high fee for a complete deep clean. I received a totally shoddy, incomplete job, which they would not address when I complained.
I was pressurised to pay the balance on the day. When I reported the problems to the booking contact the same day, I was ignored. I feel ripped off. DO NOT BOOK if you expect a true deep clean or any aftercare.
I booked a full deep clean, including carpet steam cleaning, confirmed in writing on WhatsApp. I paid a £100 non-refundable deposit to secure the date, then the cleaners pushed for the balance on the day. It was extremely expensive and not worth it.
The result did not meet the agreed scope. They wiped surfaces with a wet cloth and left. Skirting and switches stayed dusty. Sinks and taps had streaks and limescale. Mirrors stayed streaked. No polishing. No professional finish. Vacuuming was superficial, edges and under furniture missed.
Carpets were the worst issue. Full steam cleaning had been agreed. They treated a few high-traffic patches only. The rest was a quick vacuum down the middle.
I raised the issues within hours, with timestamped photos and a room-by-room list. Their reply was, “Have you paid the cleaners?” After I confirmed, progress stopped. I chased for days. No remedial visit. No refund. No response.
Their written scope promised hard surfaces dusted and wiped, floors swept, mopped, and vacuumed, bathrooms sanitised including taps, showers, and mirrors, kitchen surfaces and appliances cleaned inside and out, plus carpet steam cleaning.
Delivery fell far short of the scope agreed. A RIP OFF
