Walk a mile away from these thieves

They are con artists, rude, thieves. What is most surprising to me is AirBnB doesn’t want to hear about their embezzlement, rudeness, aggression and outright theft. Stay away, save yourself a lot of agony

Absolutely terrible customer service

Absolutely terrible customer service. I would not recommend to anyone. How this company holds the "Luxury" branch of airbnb amazes me. Has stolen thousands of dollars of mine and others. Airbnb is also cowardice in not holding one of its subsidiaries to the same standard and not upholding their own policies. My wife and I booked our honeymoon in Turks and Caicos for April 2020 prior to COVID ever being a thing. In the months leading up to our travel date COVID began locking things down and restricting travel. We were in communication with the company throughout. Once travel was restricted out of the US and into Turks and Caicos the company left us high and dry. Any talks of cancelling they didn't understand why we couldn't travel to the country. Multiple email chains and hours of phone calls lead to a year long credit for the property. Fast forward months. Travel was still locked down and the story repeated. Ultimately an indefinite credit was given after hours of argument to allow for more attempts at a refund. Albeit, this whole time their parent company Airbnb had a full refund policy for COVID which did not cover luxury retreats. Four years later I am still fighting for a full refund for roughly $4500. I have been stationed overseas since 2020 and do not see a timeline to travel just for this trip. This company should be ashamed at at the cowardice they have shown. I would never risk the amount of money these homes cost again. Avoid at all cost.

Do not book with this group

Do not book with this group. I booked a trip to Tuscany in 2019 for 2020 and they canceled it due to Covid. Despite in the midst of Italy Covid crisis Luxury airBnb processed the payment anyway and now they refuse to provide a refund. Although they agreed to rebook this year in Sept in lieu of a refund. when I asked for a refund in April they led me on saying it was too early to tell how Covid was going to be even though restrictions were still in place. They refused to refund or postpone and just took my money with no regrets at all.
The worst part of it was when I asked airBnb for a resolution and refund it went instead to a third party called Bravo Villas who I did not contract and had no clue who they were. It is a sad day with Airbnb buys out companies and stand behind the airbnb name without any integrity. In fact if you book on VRBO or any other airbnb or who can connect directly with the owner of the villa. No not with Luxury airbnb you have NO contact with the owner and therefore have to rely on Luxury retreats to advocate on your behalf which they are incompetent to do. Very sad when every hotel and VRBO are very much flexible in their bookings. Be aware that Luxury Airbnb and Luxury Retreats DO NOT BOOK. Next time will book through a luxury hotel.

Please save yourself time and misery and book direct!!

They do not respond. Voicemails are full. No way of refund for services that they have promised and have yet to deliver. Do yourself a favor and book direct. Their whole crew of Duo, Fredrick, Elizabeth and everyone else do NOT care about you and your trip!! They are ungoverned by airbnb and just used the name a a way for justification.

Untrustworthy, scam

I have been dealing with a Deanna Walton. We were trying to book a house in Portsea,Australia for $20,000 a week.We had very basic queries which Deanne kept saying she would follow up with the host. She hasn't. I believe they are based in the U.S,no website .Go direct or through a reputable business. This was an utter scam

Avoid these people! Crooks

We booked a trip to Italy in June 2020. We were unable to travel due to COVID. We did not cancel the trip; the trip was cancelled by the airlines and then travel restrictions were put in place by the Italian government so that we were not allowed to visit. Luxury Retreats is only offering a 50% refund. We are at risk of losing more than $10,000 on a trip that we did not cancel ourselves. Luxury Retreats is offering no protection to us as consumers. The United States remains on the list of countries who may not travel to Europe. COVID does not appear to be going anywhere anytime soon. I certainly do not see us traveling to Italy in the near future, especially since most of the travelers in our party our over 65 years of age. The customer service from Luxury Retreats has not been good. They have not advocated on our behalf and do not seem concerned that we are losing a huge sum of money.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE

This place is horrible I repeat horrible! I have never experienced such horrific customer service in my life. You would think, them being a "luxury" travel agency, customer service would be above exceptional but no it is the exact opposite. In addition to poor customer service, they are giving me an issue about receiving a refund for a trip to a resort that will not be open during my requested dates of travel. These people have not been in contact with the host at all so they do not know what the status is of the host or the area because this host is in the Caribbean. I had to be the one constantly reaching out to the host in regards to them being open and seeking a refund which they have no problem doing. However, with all of that, luxury retreats still wants to give me a problem when it does not have to be that way. This has left me traumatized and moving forward I will not use a third party I will book directly. Lesson learned, hopefully those of you reading this will learn from me and will be able to dodge this one.

Thieves

First off, they dont even deserve the 1 star ! Luxury Retreats employ con people and thieves ! BEWARE DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. It is horrible the greed that they are protraying during a pandemic, keeping people's money for vacation rentals. There should be some sort of law prohibiting this.

Shame on Luxury Retreats

Shame on Luxury Retreats. We tried to cancel due to COVID and they will not refund any money. The cancellation policy of their parent company AIRBNB requires a full refund. They are not honoring it. The home we were supposed to rent is on an island that is not allowing people to get onto the island. They can not provide the service and will not refund the money. Do not book anything with them.

Terrible Experience...

Beware of booking anything through LR right now. I tried to cancel a trip due to COVID concerns and they won’t cancel or refund the trip. It’s not their “policy”.

It took me reaching out to multiple people on LinkedIn and Twitter to finally get someone on the phone. The manager was pretty rude and raised her voice with me multiple times. She wasn’t looking for solutions to help me cancel. She continued to tell me sorry we can’t cancel or refund your trip.

You think you’re working with a luxury brand but there was little effort to help me resolve this situation. Pretty pathetic experience all the way around.

Hopefully they can figure out solutions during this weird time...

I booked a trip through Luxury …

I booked a trip through Luxury Retreats in December of 2019 for June of 2020 for my 50th birthday to celebrate with 4 of my best friends.I made the last payment February 19,2020 . On March 21st I contacted the company to cancel my trip because of Covid-19 and the ban on travel. I was told not to cancel just in case the ban was lifted. I and all four of my friends work in law enforcement and it is not like we can reschedule for another time our vacations are bidden on a year in advance I explained this to the agent, that we could not just pick up and go another week in the year we all got that particular week and our job was not going to let us pick another week there are 160 other officers and to find four officers willing to switch is impossible in our department. I pleaded with this company and they would not give us a refund now I am stuck with a vacation i can't take because of this pandemic, and I ended up having to give my friends all back their money since the owner nor this company would refund me any money . I will never book a vacation through them please beware of this company!!! SHAME ON THEM AND THE OWNERS!!!!

Highwoods at Shock Hill, Breckenridge, CO

We had rented a property in Breckenridge, CO through Airbnb (parent company) that used Luxury Retreats within their site for a Spring Break ski trip in March 25th, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we could not fly, all ski resorts in CO were ordered to shut down by the governor, and Summit County (where the property is located) had shut down all short term lodging indefinitely. We would not have been able to stay, even if we managed to make it there. Yet, Luxury Retreats would not provide us with a full refund. We spent over a week emailing back and forth to no avail. Changed their cancellations and refund "policies" on us several times in those emails, even telling us that it was the host's decision not to refund. Finally, we were able to get a refund through Airbnb directly. Avoid them!

One price and another depending on the time the request is made

I work for a concierge service, requested a quote for a chalet.
Announced by mail 33K/week. On their website : 28K.
Called the guy. Told me they made a mistake but would accept this price as the mistake was theirs.
Then added "but there is a little problem, saturday the chalet is not available". That was clearly a way of saying no by saying yes.
Sounded not trustable to me this way to proceed, regarding the rental amounts of the services proposed on their website.
Be careful.
