I had a brilliant experience here. The staff were highly experienced and knew exactly what was wrong with my car despite many other garages failing to spot the issue.
The staff kept us up to date with the progress of our car. Any parts purchased were shown to us via WhatsApp and talked through the whole process.
I can not recommend them enough. They were welcoming and understanding of our situation.
I would 1000% recommend them 👌
Excellent service
M60 Autos are Scammers
Has anyone used M60 Autos in Gorton?
What can I say about M60 Autos first thing id say is AVOID AT ALL COST!!! they are a bunch of scammers, I went in for a MOT after searching online and a price comparison site said they do MOTs for £25 but garage said its £45, I told him I booked it for £25 i had to show him to prove it was £25 he then accepted, then the worst part came, when they did an MOT they check the car inside and out from top to bottom, back to front and he then told me he found 2 major faults which were major, the first my brake pads were gone, but my last MOT I replaced my brake pads with brand new ones, and then he said another major fault with the front brakes but if my brakes were a major issue how come my car was still braking, later he calls me up showing me more faults but I thought he said he found 2 major faults after MOT was done now he was adding more faults already and he was charging me £600 for the first 2 repairs and then he was adding more for the other faults he allegedly found he then imprisoned me saying I cant take the car back until I got all repairs done so I had no where to go and no choice but to pay upto a £1000 for something that was not needed he threatened me saying I cant drive the car as I could crash and have a accident so I had no choice but to give away the car as the repairs were more than the car was worth and I couldn't afford to pay it, i ended up giving it away on the basis they will pay for tge repairs eventually a lady took it off me and she went to M60 Autos and told him to put the car back as it was and surprisingly he did but when I asked he didnt, what a scumbag the lady who took the car ended up starting up the car and driving it and all she paid was £75 for the MOT and labour charge I was fuming so avoid. They are scum ****M60 AUTOS YOU ARE ALL SCAMMERS****
SCAM ALERT
I’m very disappointed with the service I received here. Our car’s serpentine belt broke while we were on holiday, and instead of helping us clearly, the mechanic gave us several different explanations that didn’t make sense and caused a lot of stress. First, he quoted £216 to repair the belt and tensioner, which seemed reasonable. Later, he called back and said he couldn’t do it and that he would need to “open the engine,” costing around £800 and taking a week. That didn’t sound right, so we told him not to continue. After that, he suddenly changed his story again and said he could replace just the serpentine belt for £150 and that the car “should run,” even though earlier he told us that changing only the belt wouldn’t allow the car to drive for more than 30 minutes. In the end, he did replace the belt, and the car ran perfectly for days — including a 5-hour drive from Manchester back to Kent — with no issues at all. This makes it clear that the expensive repair he tried to push was unnecessary. The constant changing of information and prices ruined part of our holiday and made us feel like we couldn’t trust what we were being told. Very disappointing experience, and I would not return to this garage.
Horrendous deceitful scammers
Horrendous deceitful scammers! This place should not be in business. Avoid at all costs!
I booked my car here for a pre-MOT check. They didn't do this, jumped straight to the full MOT and failed my car, even when the things it failed on would've been spotted on the pre-MOT.
Then it took them 5 working days to complete some basic repairs and a repeat MOT. I phoned them daily to chase them as there was no effort to communicate, they told me outright lies about the MOT system being down nationally, and excuse after excuse for why I couldn't pick up my car yet. I'm quite convinced they didn't even start the work until day 5. They only started listening when I threatened to involve the police!
To add insult to injury, on arriving home with my car, I realised that the remote-key locking is not working (was fine when I left the car with them) - called them back and they blamed the cold weather?!
Customer service bang on and did the job!
Haven’t got anything bad to say atall. After seeing some of these reviews I’m shocked coz I went for a major service last week and was the cheapest in the whole of Manchester at £185. Oil change, cabin filter, air filter and oil filter change and whatever else they do with it. Saj was proper sound and when I left I was so happy with their customer service and work that I got a quote from them for some work which they quoted me £50 less than my own friend. I will tell the truth if I would of read these reviews I probably never would of went here with my car but I didn’t see them 😆 anyway they did everything what they was meant to do not seen any crazy leaks or anything so I would 100% go back but whatever is going on with these reviews they need to get that sorted out coz they was decent to me.. I would defo recommend them from my personal experience and defo use them again so the reviews are mixed. 5 star from me though 🌟

AVOID THIS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS!!!!
AVOID THIS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS!!!!
I took my car to this garage as it was overheating, driving slow, hood steaming, I felt that something was not right.
At the garage, a man opened the hood and immediately said that the head gasket was gone. No proper inspection, no offering to take a closer look, just straight away 'head gasket gone', and he quoted that it would be £800 - £1200 as it was 'big job'. He said it may take weeks as they had to get parts shipped from India?
The car already had 130,000 miles on it, and I was uncertain to spend more money on it, so I was considering just selling the car for scraps. The man at the garage told me to speak to his boss. I rang the boss who said he would speak to local scrap businesses. Eventually he said they would pay £1200 for my scrap car. He then started to try and sell cars they had for sale to me for £4000+.
My dad suggested getting a second opinion, so I took the car to a second garage, who inspected my car, and turns out the problem was not the head gasket, but something to do with oil filters. I payed £350 at this garage to fix my car. It is now driving fine.
M60 autos were going to charge me £800+!!!! Or they were probably going to buy my car from me for £1200 and then sell it for a profit!!
As a young female with not the best knowledge of cars, AVOID this garage at all costs. This is not an honest or trustworthy garage. They just want to take your money.
They'll they'll keep your car for days on end…
They'll keep your car for days on end even for a standard mechanics job. They say they'll ring back but don't, they make excuses after excuses for their shoddy work. They say there's problems on the car slowing them down. They had my car most of the week and charged treble what I was quoted in the beginning and more than treble any other quotes I received. I only went here because of good reviews on Google and the promise my car would be fixed in less than a day. Skullduggery is too gentle a word for this bunch... AVOID.
SCAMMED BADLY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Especially if you’re a female with no knowledge of cars. A year ago I took my Audi a1 in for an engine fix and was told I would either have to pay for the engine to be stripped OR get a new engine. I told them I wanted to go with the cheapest option and they said they would look around at engine prices. Three days later I rang back to see if they had found a new engine and surprisingly they had already started stripping it as they said this was the cheapest option. I expected a phone call with a quotation price before the work was started but I didn’t argue with it. When I asked how much it would cost all together they told me the final cost would be £2700 and then told me there’s no guarantee the engine will work at the end. I told them to stop the work as I wasn’t paying that if there’s not a 100% guarantee it would be fixed. They then told me it would be best to scrap the car “after inspecting further” which is worrying as I hoped they would’ve inspected it further the first time round, you know, as it’s their job and all. They charged me £400 for the work they started, and then a further £250 to scrap the car and cover the cost of it “being parked” on their property. All together I transferred them £650 and today I’ve just found out the car is on the road, insured, taxed and everything when I saw a lad driving past in it. I knew it was my old car because I had a private reg and custom coloured alloys which are still on the car. It wasn’t even scrapped. When I rang up for the transcripts from the phone call they said they would send them over, then blocked my number and WhatsApp. Please don’t go here. I was a student at the time, lost my car I saved years for and £650 down with nothing to show. If any females decide to go here, please take a male with you.
AVOID AVOID AVOID
AVOID AVOID AVOID! Please don’t be fooled by the 5* reviews and check Trustpilot for a genuine review of this place. Took my car for a ‘full service’ and initially all seemed well, the boss got me a tea when I came to collect etc. etc. but then proceeded to pressure me into giving a 5* review while I was still there, insisting I posted before getting my car back (hence all the 5* reviews on here).
A few weeks later I’ve found they threaded the sump plug which caused an oil leak. This cost me another £60 to get another garage to fix which M60 have refused to pay me back, with the boss pretending to be ‘just a worker’ when I returned to the garage to confront them, despite the boss having asked me to bring the car back to have a look (I’m not sure why because the car had already been fixed). After weeks of stress finding another garage to sort the problem, I had hoped M60 would be more reasonable and protect their reputation, it seems not.
Other smaller issues which I didn’t get a chance to mention are that they broke my key so it now falls off the key ring, revved my car a ton when I initially dropped the car off, and whilst trying to get my money back today, I witnessed one of the mechanics reverse a van he was working on into a parked car. Again, PLEASE don’t fall for the 5* reviews.
Awful experience
Awful experience - I needed someone to drive my van to the garage for an MOT. The manager sent a guy who didn't speak any english and started messing up with the ignition in fact he managed to discharge the battery and as a result another visit was needed for them to bring the jump starter equipment and a "special" spray (so the manager said) to get the van started? All this farse to inflate the initial costs...
The quote for the repairs in order to pass the MOT was more than £1100 and while some of these are justified others aren't and rather suspect.
I refused to go ahead but they had already done some minor jobs (without asking) I had to pay a bit more than 100 for basically nothing (I could had installed the side mirror myself)...not only that, my van was returned with some accessories missing and the tank empty.
Shady and dishonest..avoid like hell.
BEWARE BEWARE
BEWARE BEWARE IM TELLING YOU BEWARE OF THIS SCAMMERS.
They have given me a quotation of over £1100 for an alternator and the belt. I told them not to start the work, but when I arrived, they have already started working on my car. I told them to stop and I got a quotation from next door for £330. Beware in any cost
DO NOT USE THEM THEY GIVE PRICE FIRST PROBLEM THEYGIVE IN SAYING JOB TO BIG
Put job on find my garage to do a clutch on a mini phoned me up saying they could do the job took car to them ,then phoned me saying could not find locking wheel nut , tried charging me 60 pound to remove them i said no then told me they could not do job DO NOT GO THERE THEY ARE A WASTE OF YOURE TIME
I was desperate to have an MOT as I had…
I was desperate to have an MOT as I had forgotten the date it was due.
M60 Autos fitted me in on the day I needed and thankfully my car passed. So happy I am sorted in double quick time too.
Many thanks to the M60 team for quick and efficient service. An added bonus cheapest MOT I have paid for too. Well done Guys
Becareful guys choose wisely
Becareful guys. Choose wisely. It appears if you go directly to them there reviews are not to Bad. But if you go via a contractor like i did, as I used service stop ltd. They sent my car there who failed my MOT when it should of been advised not a fail. They quoted silly money to put the job right when I got another quote 3 times less by my own Garage.
Initially i thought i was getting a good deal via an ad on fb but instead i ended up with a Bad deal because service stop ltd used M60 autos. A lesson learnt. Please dont make the same mistake as me.
Air con compresser
Most important was that they were available to do right away and offered to bring me home and collect me later excelent car is like new
Re-spray
The guys did a great job on my van, I am really pleased with the result 🙂
