I was the first time buyer without any experience of sale or purchase of property. Kaur Sutherland conveyancing made it happen for me with all the process being so easy and smooth from the day they were appointed until I have the keys of my home. They were always there to answer any questions/queries I had. They kept me informed throughout the whole process and updated me every time when required. I would Highly recommended their service.

Absolutely excellent service from start to finish

Decent value conveyancers- much cheaper than others I looked at
Minimal customer service; be prepared to research and figure everything out yourself. I never had a contact at the office and was never able to speak to anyone other than a receptionist. Feels like a lack of continuity eg I would phone, be told I'd get a call back, never get one, when a phone call could resolve a lot of issues.
More concerning is the lack of help for issues following sale, again I phoned and never received a call back. Luckily I was able to resolve with the seller but if anything serious came up in that 5 day window post sale I doubt these guys would be helping you much.
I will say everyone I spoke to on the phone was polite they were just rarely able to help me when problems came up.

Used this company in Glasgow to purchase house in Scottish Borders so all communication remote. Quote was clear and corresponded to final payment to the penny. I was kept informed at every turn, advised on any changes and near end had couple phone calls with solicitor to confirm everything was clear. Also verbally confirmed all financial transactions which was reassuring.
All staff friendly, professional and there to answer any questions. Would definitely recommend and happy to use in future.

As a first time buyers me and my partner had a lot of questions and needed alot of support to see us through the process of buying our house. From the moment of contacting MacRae and Kaur for a quote we felt relaxed and confident that we had picked the right solicitors. They explained the process we needed to go through and kept in regular contact throughout the time from offer to completion. It was really nice to have a senior partner available to support our purchase and talk to when there were parts of the burdens and contracts we were unsure on. Given the price they charge we will definitley be using them again as value for money is an understatement, we could not have asked for more friendly and helpful firm to get us our home.

Really below par conveyance service. The communication is really bad and latent. First conveyance which was 3-4 weeks - hard to get updates and pretty all the work and requests to us crammed in the last 2-3 days before settlement, which isnt smart or good for planning.

Foolishly, thought i would give them another chance, 3 days no response for an offer on a property which now has a new interested party as they have been latent to attend to their duties.

Only positive is cost but in saying that used others that have similar cost and better outcome.
