I purchased MacWhisper Pro ....
I purchased MacWhisper Pro and the experience has been unacceptable. The software is marketed as a professional transcription tool, but it consistently fails at the most basic level: producing an accurate transcript.
Instead of transcribing the audio, it spirals into endless loops, repeating the same sentence dozens of times, while entire portions of the recording are simply ignored. This is not a minor glitch or an occasional hiccup — it is a fundamental malfunction that makes the product unusable for any serious work.
Crucial technical settings are hidden or unavailable, the interface offers no meaningful control over the transcription process, and features that are supposed to prevent errors (like “Remove duplicated segments”) do not work at all. The result is wasted time, corrupted transcripts, and a workflow that collapses the moment you try to rely on the software.
MacWhisper Pro is advertised as a trustworthy tool for filmmakers, journalists, researchers, and creators. In its current state, it is little more than a polished interface wrapped around unreliable behaviour. It simply does not deliver what it promises.
I paid for software that was supposed to be professional-grade. It does not meet even the minimum standard of reliability. If you need accurate, dependable transcription, look elsewhere — this is not it.
