Booked my car in for mot over the phone. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment, the reception team greeted me with a smile and friendly welcome.
Pretty much got my car in and on the ramps as soon as I arrived.
Nice little waiting room with customer toilet and drinks machine whilst you wait. After that long anxious wait we all get wondering whether it'll pass or not, I was called up to the desk with great news, my car had passed with one little advisory!
I Will definitely be using Severn Valley again.
Easy booking, Friendly staff, quick and efficient, good price. 100% recommend.

My motorhome was booked in at another garage in telford when I arrived i was informed that it was to big for them to mot.

I called most of the local mot garages and madeley testing stations name kept coming up so I called them at 10 and was booked in at 11.30 that day, I arrived and greeted by the office staff who looked at my motorhome and said no problem it would be ready within the hour, I sat and waited in the comfy waiting area within 45 minutes I was on my way even quoted me on future work and quoted on a service which I have now booked in.

No pressure selling to me,
While I was waiting i over heard about a similar issue with thier vehicles timing chain had failed and was at another garage who wouldn't take that type of work on, The office staff arranged recovery there and then and gave the gentleman multiple options

Its nice to find a garage that can do everything, I will continue to now use them

I took my car in for a problem i couldn't sort myself. They took me in very fast and explained to me exactly what the problem is.

Arranged for the service of my car to be done, all communication from Josh was clear and precise.
Dropped my car off and left it with them to complete, I was called when it was ready to collect.

When picking up my car, not only was the service completed but I was also made aware of a crack in my exhaust cat and centre pipe but they had already had it welded together free of charge for me.

I took my van there for a head repair £2,000
It broke down a few times because of their repair I took it back and they tried telling me 5 different excuses they refused to give me my keys back because they said I owed them another £60.
I took the van and 200 miles later the 2 injectors that they replaced blew out because they’d cross threaded the bolts on the clamp that hold the injectors in.
I got towed by the AA to an injector specialist to have the work done which I had to pay for.
I contacted trade and standards and citizens advice I showed them all the invoices and text dialogue from owner Kevin Kemp and they said my case was bullet proof. So I went through the process of taking them to court, and one of the process was to contact Kevan kemp (the owner) and give him the chance to respond and after 30 plus emails of getting no where with him he became abusive, childish and very patronising to me .
I have 35 years experience in the motor trade and I have never come across such an incompetent garage in Shropshire
So I have put all the evidence to the courts and I am waiting for a court date.

Do not take your campervan here they are liars they failed my van and yet after I had it looked at by 2 different mechanics who said the opposite to what these have they will try and con you into paying

Unfriendly woman on reception called Deb. Bad attitude, unprofessional and miserable. Spend your money elsewhere and get good value for service with people more deserving. We don't care that you have private plates on your car, we want you to service ours.

I’ve always Used the guys at MTS for many years now, but I have to say Stuart and the team have been brilliant this last few weeks , we unfortunately found ourselves with two cars in need of repair, very costly repairs due to big faults from the cars manufacturers.

Stuart took ownership of over seeing the repair and managed to get us up and running quickly for the one car which we are very grateful for , as we needed the car to go away in.

We have a longer wait for the second car to be fixed due to parts on order from the manufacturer , but again the team at mts have it all under control and update us promptly,
Stuart has been very helpful in helping us with warranty’s and information for us to take to the car’s manufacturers
Also helped us with a little car for a few days to get us from a to b.

It’s always a pleasant experience with them.
The mechanics all seem knowledgeable, prices are reasonable and fair , they are always very prompt with updates for us, and staff are polite.
They work very hard to get us back on the road , even though there very busy.

We Will continue to take our cars there always.

Our go to place for MOTs and never had any issues.
Needed new brakepads but also had an issue with a fuel leak.
They got me straight in, sorted the pads and investigated the fuel issue.
No pressure to have the work done but explained exactly what the problem was and gave advice on perhaps getting it done elsewhere as they could only get a new official part which would be really expensive.

My 84 year old dad went to have his beloved galaxy mot here on recommendation. Turns out it failed on suspension bushes brake pipes and hand brake cable snapped. Fair enough the cable could have snapped anytime. Advisories we’re front brake discs were scored and pads were low. Advised to get them done asap.
Discs and pads replaced 18 months ago and 9673 miles ago. They still looked new so took it to another test station who just cater for mot and don’t do repairs and guess what. Passed with advisory to adjust handbrake cable which he fitted himself 2 days prior. Might point out that my dad was a diagnostic engineer for Rolls Royce diesel and fair to say knows which end of a spanner to use.
My best guess is they saw a pensioner and thought they could pull a fast one and make some easy money.

3 year old VW transporter. <19k miles. First MOT. Failed on left and right, front lower suspension arm rear bushes. Fair call but front bushes were also unserviceable as I found later.
No issues with verdict and faults. However I was immediately confronted by reception with a £656 repair quote !
2 new suspension arms, not bushes. The failed bushes cost circa £15 and for a professional garage probably 2 hours work max( I did both sides, 4 bushes and ball joints in 3 hours).
Luckily as an aircraft Engineer I had the experience to see through this extortionate attempt at gaining a repair job that wasn't required.
In times of high living costs it's unacceptable in my view to mislead people for financial gain. A fair and acceptable MOT ( apart from missing the other worn bushes) but the repair quote was just plain dishonest and a less knowledgeable customer may have found themselves on the light side of a £700 bill for £30 of parts.
Honesty goes a long way in this game and I won't be reccomending this establishment to anyone.

stay away got my brake pipe done and then found my disks binding straight after asked them to sort it and refused unless I payed more also damage on my bumper that wasn't there before only to be told read the sign you park here at your own risk now being reported to trading standards for allowing a vehicle on the road in a dangerous condition....STAY AWAY

Booked here for our daughters first experience of taking her own car as they had been fantastic in the past.
So thought all would be great… she arrived two minutes late as she had never been before and turned into the industrial estate just before looking for them. Fair enough they had let the next customer in for her slot, however refused to let her have his!!! Receptionist was rude and sarcastic repeatedly even though our daughter apologised for being late. They did offer her one for the Monday but she did explain that she is a student teacher on placement in Crewe so would be travelling back with no MOT unless sorted that weekend, which was my fault as we didn’t realise it needed renewing! And yes they did phone back that afternoon to offer an appointment but we could not take the chance of them ‘maybe’ finding a slot..
Thankfully we have now found a fantastic, friendly and helpful local MOT company!!!

Fab service, my online booking didn't go through properly but when I arrived at the time I requested online to be told there was no booking, this wasn't a problem for MTS, the guy from behind the counter jumped up and tested my car himself! Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Recently took my Ford Fiesta into Madeley Testing Station to have my catalytic converter fitted correctly as the previous garage had cross threaded the bolts on my turbo, which led to exhaust gases leaking.

I went to at least 4 well known garages who are local to me, to see if this was something they were able to do - which they all turned it down as it was a job they did not want to do.

In the end, I was recommended MTS by a friend - so I took my car to them and within a couple of hours they had managed to fit the catalytic converter correctly - they even advised me that my tyres were near the legal limit which I was not aware of (which could have led to me getting points on my license!)

Even though they are 45 minutes away, it was definitely worth the drive. They were very knowledgeable, helpful and very fair on the price. I will be sure to take my car back here in the future for any other work I may need. Thanks again guys!
