Magniflex local representatives are only distributors, no consistent company policy across EU or the world

I was shocked to discover that all "official" shops of Magniflex around the world are not really owned by Magniflex, e.g. they are working with different distributors in different countries and thus, there is no streamlined/official policy about test-periods, returns policies, etc., which is very convenient for them, but a nightmare for customers!
I recently bought a mattress in Bulgaria, registered it in the Magniflex club, etc. Firstly, the mattress, Massaggio Delux, had a very strong smell - I was told it is normal as the top layer is foam - we were advised to air it as long as possible. After a month, we finally decided to sleep on it, though the odour still persisted. After 4-5 days sleeping on the mattress, my whole body was hurting - from arms to hips, back, lower-back, etc. The mattress, which is sold as Medium (from scale Hard, Medium Hard, Medium, Medium Soft and Soft), turned out to be the hardest mattress I had the displeasure to sleep on. I filled in the claim, send all the pictures and proof of purchase as required. The reply then came and it stated that the mattress is completely ok - none came to check up on the mattress, and I was told that they (local Magniflex) 1/ do not provide returns, 2/ do not have a test period, 3/ that this is the first complain about their best-selling mattress (how is this related, when they claimed later that the feeling about the firmness is totally individual!), 4/ they do not use specific scale about the hardness of the mattress, but rather measure the hardness again each of their products - something I find ridiculous, given that there is an accepted scale for calculating/determining the hardness of a mattress, 5/ I was told that I have tried the mattress is the shop, so I have no right to complain - though, they agreed that one cannot determine, if the mattress is comfortable or not from lying on it for 10-15min in the showroom (!!!) - and this is the reason why there are test-periods.
So, I was told they cannot return the money, because the mattress is used, but they are willing to do 1-time replacement with another product of theirs - this by itself contradicts the whole "we do not return used mattresses".
I contacted Italy HQ of Magniflex, only to discover that, apparently, the HQ cannot do anything, because it is all in the hands of the local distributors they are working with on each market. Italy HQ told me that their policy does not include trial periods, and they do not return money. However, after digging in, I found out that Magniflex Germany has 30-day test period for all the mattresses, Magniflex US, has 90-day test period! When I confronted them with this, they backed off and said they have no right to interfere on the local markets and it all depends on the policy of the local distributor - however, their show rooms and online store all say Magniflex, so one finds out that they are not dealing with Magniflex brand, but some local distributor only when they is an issue to be resolved!!! Now I am stuck with an expensive double mattress that I cannot use because it smells and gives me excruciating pains all over the body, with a distributor, which is rude and inflexible, with HQs who have no consistent policy and apparently are not able to influence their partners or streamline the way they work at least in the EU!
I am afraid to take their 1-time exchange for 3 reasons: 1/ lost trust in the brand and the Customer service they provide, 2/ lack of choice for softer mattresses - obviously Medium is not an option for me, but they have 1 soft mattress on offer only and it is a gel one - good for summer, but not for winters; 3/ lack of options to exchange it for top-mattress - surprisingly, in their official show-room they have no top-mattresses on offer!
I thought I am buying an expensive mattress, from a big, quality company and an official brand owner! Instead it turns out, Magniflex brand is only on the shop window, but all policies are made by a distributor and the customers are at their local mercy. Shameful for a brand/company with annual turnover of $132M!
