Terrible company, the clothing is very poor and cheap quality and tiny sizes. Can’t return orders unless you want to pay £20 or it to get lost in china. Would not order!

I ordered an outfit off this website and had second thoughts after reading the reviews.
I would just like to say how understanding and helpful the customer service team was.
I emailed to cancel my order and requested a full refund after reading through reviews which left me quite concerned.
They had contacted me back the next working day informing me my order had been cancelled and a refund had been issued.
2 days later i have had the full refund back into my account.
Thank you to the lovely customer service team who didn’t even question, stall or make excuses such as “it’s already been shipped” how other companies would.

I ordered a dress for my son’s girlfriend. I had not heard of the company before. It was a suggestion from my son. After a week my son asked if I’d had an update regarding delivery. He was concerned after reading customer reviews and so was I. I contacted customer service who were very quick to respond and the emails allow you to track the item. I’m not sure if delivery time is stated at time of ordering but I didn’t see it. I was advised after contacting customer service by email expected delivery date 9th July. Order placed 19th June. That is long and the gift was needed for 1st July. The dress actually arrived on 1st July. My son’s girlfriend said it’s beautiful and fits perfectly. So my experience was a bit nerve wracking initially but it all turned out fine just long delivery time.

This is a scam seller, dresses that look so chic in pictures turn out to be made in terrible quality in China. They don’t just not offer free or easy returns, they try that you dont send anything back and offer to pay 10% refund. I unfortunately trusted the trust pilot reviews displayed on their website, which are fake!!! The dresses I ordered were smelly, improperly stitched and material was absolutely unwearable. Despite one damaged dress, they didnt offer free returns as per their own policy. They added that I will need to pay £20 in customs duty as well. Pathetic scam

Awful! AVOID!
Complete scam seller! Website says they are in the Netherlands but products ship from China. Conveniently it doesn’t mention this!
My delivery arrived much later than the website states and the links to track the order didn’t work!
Products are cheap and poorly made with a hole in the side!.
All these are seller issues and responsibilities and then they tell you that you have to return them to China at the buyers cost, they also advise it could take months and there may be additional charges!!!
This site is misleading and dishonest! They should be prevented from trading if they cannot abide by selling laws and regulations! Complete scam! I have now reported this company,

Beware do not buy from this company received three dresses spent over £100 and it is the worst quality clothing I’ve ever received in my whole entire life. I wouldn’t even wear this to bed it is that poor doesn’t look anything like the pictures when you want to return it they asked you to send it to China with a £20 customs fee on top of all of the shipping fees and they cannot guarantee it do not order beware scam!!!

Could not recommend this brand LESS. It’s literally a scam - I stupidly fell for it & the item is the worst quality piece of clothing I’ve ever seen. It took 3x as long as it said it would to arrive. The returns process is deliberately difficult and lengthy (you have to pay upwards of £9 postage & if it doesn’t get back to them in a certain amount of time they won’t refund - spoiler alert, the return place is in China so it’s not going to get there in time, and they know that). Honestly awful - I never write reviews but just don’t want anyone else losing over £30 like me xx

Horrible quality! One dress came with a shorter sleeve than the other one and the other came with a broken zipper!
When I emailed them requesting a refund they said they do not cover return shipping costs (which I have to send to China!!) when on their website it clearly states they cover the shipping costs for defective or damaged products.
Horrible company. DO NOT BUY!!!

I ordered a dress after seeing them pop up on my Instagram and all the images on there and website looked really good so went ahead and ordered.
After purchasing I did a little more digging (kicking myself now for not doing this before!) and saw all the negative reviews particularly around the returns process and so got in touch within the hour to request my order be cancelled to save myself the headache.
They got back a day later to say it was already dispatched so not possible to cancel - so I accepted and figured I would just see what the dress was like when it would arrive.
Dress arrived this morning nothing like the picture with scissor snip holes in it, threads everywhere, the slit goes halfway to my calf instead of the full leg… oh and a random blanket that I didn’t order was in the delivery too?!? So am requesting a full refund.
I’ve emailed them so waiting on a reply but would HEAVILY avoid this retailer at all costs.

I have been going back and forth with their customer support team for well over a week now trying to get my money back and have only received confusing responses as solutions.
They have said they are only willing to offer me 40% of a partial refund - so I would need to pay to keep an item that is faulty & misrepresented, instead of the 100% refund I’m entitled to?!?!?
They will not cover the shipping costs which are pretty much the cost of the dress in the first place, if i were to send it back so I would lose out either way.
I’ve even said for the sake of not going back & forth I will accept 75% instead of the 100% and they are not budging… on an item that’s faulty. Disgusting.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Maison d’Amber was unacceptable from start to finish. I placed an order on May 19th for items I needed for an event, based on their clearly stated 7–15 day delivery window. The order arrived over 3 weeks later, after the event had passed, and despite their website stating Netherlands, everything came from China with no warning.
The products that did arrive were poor quality, completely unlike the photos online, and one item was never delivered at all. I contacted customer service repeatedly, and was met with automated, AI-style responses that delayed the process and showed no genuine support or accountability.
When I requested a return, I was told to ship everything at my own cost to China, despite the order being late, misrepresented, and part of it not arriving at all. I’ve since learned this is a common experience, with many reviews echoing the same tactics of delay, miscommunication, and refusal to issue refunds fairly.
I’ve had to seek legal advice and initiate a formal dispute with my bank to recover my money. I would strongly urge others to avoid this company, especially if you’re expecting transparency, customer care, or quality products.
EDIT: the shipping policy states business days for dispatch but calendar days for shipping. they now claim publicly they offered me a 50% refund which is utter lies. Do not be fooled by this scamming company.

Ordered three dresses for a wedding. They were beyond small even though i ordered an XL. I am a UK size 14 and i could not zip them up. They arrived 4 weeks after i placed the order. They were sent in cheap plastic packaging and all arrived separately. When i emailed to complain the company advised me that they are an eco company "Our choice to work with a single central warehouse near our fabric supplier aligns with our commitment to an eco-conscious process" then why send all three dresses separately which means three flights from Asia?
To return the dresses i now have to pay for the return to Asia and they cannot guarantee that i will not incur additional charges "We cannot guarantee that returned packages will reach our warehouse without delays or additional fees. Customs clearance can cost approximately £20, and delivery to our warehouse typically takes 1–2 months."
The website says founded in the heart of Amsterdam, well this company is a shamble and a con and should be shut down. You would be better off shopping with Shein where the service is very good and much better value for money

The dress looks exactly like the picture, which I was happy about. However, it was too small for me, and some of the feathers were falling off. That said, I can’t really complain overall—the dress arrived within 2 weeks , which was great.

Tried to cancel my order straight away before dispatch. Received an email to say they would still send the order and then for me to send back and return. No customer service, leaving me to pay a return postage fee even when I cancelled prior to the item being dispatched. Shocking reviews, will be going to trading standards if I do not get a full refund!

Poor, DO NOT USE THIS SITE. Delivery took aver 4 weeks!
Sizing ridiculous, turns out a size large is a size 8 UK size!!!
Horrific. Comfortably fit in a size 16, bought the 20-22 and not even close to doing up. The feathers are thin and fall of straight away, the material looks horrific. I’ve had better quality stuff from Shein for 10% of the price.
My order arrived three weeks late, with two items missing. One of the missing items showed up another week later, but the overall quality was absolutely appalling.
To make matters worse, the customer service has been completely unhelpful. They’re refusing to refund me for the item I never received and are instead offering a mere 15% refund if I keep the low-quality, unsuitable items. Honestly, what am I supposed to do with dresses that are such poor quality?
This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish. I won’t be ordering again and strongly recommend others to steer clear.
