If by chance you made an order from the…

If by chance you made an order from the marketplace, good luck finding a solution with the seller, maisons du monde doesn’t care and it will tell you it’s up to you to find a solution , if i knew this before I made my order I will save myself time energy and money waisted, worst service ever

Part 2 to respond to maisons du monde , your answer is the same answers you are giving me for two weeks now , nothing changes, on top of it one of your customer service agent hang up on me!

Delivery nightmare !

I've ordered a month ago a sofa. After around 10 or 12 call with the carrier impossible to have a delivery date except the Saturday ! No other option ! When I've bought the sofa they said delivery from Monday to Saturday. Calling the customer care service of Maison du Monde today, they told me they cannot ask the carrier to change anything and I need to NEGOCIATE with the carrier. Not them ! But me, the customer which had paid for the service !

What a disappointment with MDM

What a disappointment with MDM
Definitely not what it used to be - bought a huge sofa which arrived broken - impossible to replace as they don’t produce anymore ; we had to work it out to put it together with some DIY.
TV console and low table - a nightmare to put together as it seems like it’s too expensive for the store to pre dig the holes to insert the screws or align holes and screws...
As good as IKEA just more expensive - you really let us down on this one!

I've tried to get in touch with the support but this definitely did not help as they did not want to look into it as we ordered from a shop. The experience is just getting better. Perhaps you would have an email address for us to connect as it seems like you're willing to hear more about our experience?

WHAT A JOKE - I was proposed 50CHF / € via Facebook for a broken sofa - I tried to call support twice and while talking they hung up twice!
To be totally transparent we received 130CHF as it arrived broken on one side - we had to put it together nevertheless as they could not replace it - 2 days later the sofa's wheels break and I'm being proposed 50CHF for that.

Such a disappointment - customer support was not accessible on the phone

VICTOIRE- golden leaf came off

So I bought the VICTOIRE MIRROR from Maison du Monde French website and received it yesterday. A very carefully chosen product I decided to take as the real antique ones would cost a dime.
This morning as I wake up, I noticed little pieces of golden leaf fell off off the mirror crown. I believe that it’s the only part of the mirror wrapped in golden leaf- which is absolutely fine.
The problem is that the golden leaf shouldn’t be out that easily. I love this mirror so much and have been patiently waiting for more than 6 weeks
How do I fix this? Any solution?
It’s my first Maison du Monde product, have called but to no avail and there’s no email address to write to
Pls help

Posted review on Trust Pilot Maison du Monde Uk when the company is in France.
Items ordered and paid for 30/11/21, still waiting 26/01/22.
Confirmation from TNT to state order would be delivered 13/01/22, then suddenly emailed to state item delayed & I would be updated, absolutely nothing.
SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE who do not reply.
Please avoid ordering from this company they are stealing peoples money, please check reviews on Maison du Monde UK trust pilot for evidence of this,
Cannot understand how this company are able to continue in business !, but then again when they are taking peoples well earned money and not even having the goods in stock or goods at all.
Please take my word DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING from them, however much you like there advert pictures, I must update there Facebook page as I cannot believe people follow such a fraud company.

Happy with my new item

Ordered a decorative storage box. After receival there was a defect, but the customer service (e-mail) has solved the issue quickly and sufficiently.
I would order with this company again.

ive purchased a black and gold globe

ive purchased a black and gold globe, at first i liked it but it’s not been touched, it’s just sat there on a shelf and the black colour is coming off, looks very cheap and is a complete waste of money , wouldn’t ever use this website again, trying to see if i can return it without the packaging but when i call up it hangs up on me.

Bought a Emma mattress on Black Friday…

Bought a Emma mattress on Black Friday 26 November, on the Maison Du Monde Marketplace site. This is first and last time, I will buy anything from them online. Stores are great, online store is a disaster, should be shut down. They should not be in the online business at all.
Bought extensively online for many years, this transaction takes the honours for being the worst I have ever experienced in customer service.
Here's why:
1. Placed an order and paid, received an email confirming payment and order number etc.. That was the last time I heard from them for 2 weeks.
2.Email stated I should contact the vendor (Emma) if I had any issues i.e delivery, return of goods etc... In other words don't call me, I'll just pass the monkey onto someone else and collect the money for the sale.
3. Email also states you can track the order on the DB Schenker website with the tracking number they provided. Great!!! so I go onto the site and it tells me the number is invalid and cannot be tracked.
4. So, I try to to contact them, this in itself is a challenge as info is almost non existent on the their website. Eventually I find the place where I can ask about the order. Filled it in and sent it off on their website. Also sent emails after I managed to get an email address on the response from the person I spoken to later in the process.
Sent them numerous emails asking about the order and when I could expect delivery, by now it was 3 days later than the promised estimated delivery date. I was leaving for the UK on the 14th December and needed it delivered beforehand. NO RESPONSE AT ALL!!! to any emails.
5. Went to the Maisons du Monde store in Frejus to ask about the order, was told they had nothing to do with the "Marketplace orders". However, the store manager was kind enough to try to assist.
6. An hour on various phones, eventually got the telephone number for the "Maisons du Monde Marketplace person". Phoned and asked to speak to the person in charge, was told he was too busy and that I should send an email. Told them I had done this and no response. I wanted to speak to someone in charge, was told he would phone back (9 times out of ten would never happens). Insisted and suddenly he was available. Told me he would phone me in 15 minutes which he did, all he could tell me was that the Logistics company had received the mattress and would contact me on the that Friday, to make arrangements for delivery. Nothing happened!!!!
7. Four days later tried again via email as I was about to fly to the UK that Tuesday. NO RESPONSE AGAIN
8. Managed to find out that the mattress was being delivered to Shenker in Toulon, phoned them and managed to get the person there, asked if they could please delay the delivery as I was not going to be here and would contact them on my return to France for delivery.
9. Return on the 6th Jan and sent emails to Marketplace to tell them to deliver, Finally!! got a return email telling me I should contact DB Schenker in Toulon to tell them when I wanted it delivered. Again pass the buck!!!. Contacted DB Shenker and they were great, delivered the next morning.

So long and short, If you don't need high blood pressure or spend endless hours on emails and phone calls, DONT ORDER FROM MAISONS DU MONDE's MARKETPLACE !!! Because they have no clue what customer service is all about.

Hello,

I had an issue with a carpet bought from their marketplace from the vendor called Surya, the carpet has nothing to do with the article images on the website : very thin, the print is much darker and uglier (thicker print), looks very cheap.
Contacted the vendor that said that I can return the carpet but I need to assume the cost of the return plus a packaging cost.
I don’t understand why I need to assume the costs of an order for which the pictures are misleading.
After contacting Maison du monde, the repeated the same thing many times : you should see with the vendor we can do nothing about it.
I am very disappointed because I bought many times from maison du monde and they didn’t even care to make a commercial gesture or check with the vendor about this issue, because they have a part of responsibility because the vendor is on their website.

Never ordering from maison du monde again.

Damaged goods and appalling, slow response

I ordered a desk from Maison du Monde France in September. It arrived but was broken. The Maison du Monde website repeatedly failed to deliver my message to them. So, I assembled the desk and eventually I got a message through on the website three weeks later. Because I had assembled the desk, they offered a €30 discount, 11% of the purchase price. The damage was quite bad so I countered suggesting 20%. I got a rude response saying that was all they were prepared to offer; I had assembled the desk (because I couldn't get a message through the website, so it was my fault. I objected and eventually they came back and offered €50. I accepted and that's the last I heard. The desk was badly damaged, I couldn't get in touch with them for three weeks, I get a rude and accusatory response, and then a reluctant offer which I accept and is now ignored. This is really bad service. And the reviews online demonstrate this not unusual. A great shame, because I have shopped in the La Rochelle shop frequently and like the stock they have. But I don't see why I should continue spending my money there when they show so little regard for customers. There's a real problem with the culture if a retailer cannot focus it's attention on delivering a great customer experience. Blaming customers for their damaged goods is a fast way to destroy a retailer. Shame on you.

terrible service yet again from french…

terrible service yet again from french website in france . delivery failed to arrive on the date and redelivery arranged 3 times now going back to england and the goods are with the courier impossible to speak to anyone and email query took 10 days and just said contact the courier reimbursement ?? last time this took 3 months. quick to take my money but after that unresponsive. 0800 french number doesn’t work from english mobile

will try email contact from site again but hard to navigate

The worst onlineshop or store ever

The worst onlineshop or store ever! We bought the bed before two months and flooring of bed broke. We try to by new one, but it doesn’t fit on this bed! Also throw back my money…
They offerd me money refond, but i need to pack it, buy karton by my self. (Where can i find so huge carton).? So disappointed. Still waiting for the answer from them…

Online support portal does not work

I am incredibly disappointed with the service received from Maisons Du Monde. Delivery was delayed numerous times and the table I ordered arrived broken. I have tried to inform the company through their online service and keep getting an error message. Also tried calling and the line went dead each time I selected the option. Order number- 1002347103

Absolutely terrible service and…

Absolutely terrible service and quality. We ordered a sofa and it was broken. They then proceeded to send us TWO BROKEN REPLACEMENTS, and did not pick up the broken pieces. They picked up one of the sofas, but now we have TWO other sofas at home, and we’ve been waiting for three months for them to pick one of them up. The third sofa that we’re keeping is ok, but still has some defects. We will be donating one of the broken sofas to charity asap as Maison du monde have been ignoring us and we do not have storage space!!! We want compensation for this hassle as the service has been excruciating! Absolutely not worth the price we paid.

Not possible to contact Maisons du Monde

I tried to change my telephone number on the login, since it is wrong (there are only 7 country codes to choose between) and the transport company needs to have my telephone number for delivery. There are NO way possible to contact Maison du Monde spain for this, only telephone are available. No body speaks english, I have been send around all morning to different persons, dead ends etc. I tried also to write on Facebook. HOW can a customer get in contact with the company ? It is SO bad

2 weeks since a complaint - NO ANSWER

I have ordered a newspaper mobile shelf. I received an item that was dirty all over with some sticky material - I would basically have to wash everything before using it + no guarantee it would even come off. Moreover, there are some nails sticking out so it's easy to hurt yourself. I have written a complaint - no answer, since 2 weeks every day I've been trying to contact customer service (dialed all the possible numbers I have found...) - no answer, I only was receiving some generic ridiculous emails like "please give us the exam name of the item so that we can forward your case to the correct department" (even though all the information + the order number I specified in email no1). Their customer service is NON existing. I honestly have no idea what to do with the item - I guess I will have to take it to the store personally ......but I'm extremely disappointed and mad that I will have to take such measures and drive to the store myself because MdM cannot answer their phones.....I do not recommend buying there.

No refund received

I purchased a desk. It was delivered broken. I returned it. It was picked up around two weeks after I filled in the return papers. It’s now been over three weeks and I still haven’t received my refund. Even tough maison du mond had assured me it would be deposited within 14 days.

Update; after a long time of waiting I received the refund. I would not order something from Maison Du Mond again. Nor would i recommend it to anyone.

Altough MdM has my ordernumber now…

Altough MdM has my ordernumber now which they asked for in their reply still nothing happened.N° 1002135210 du 10/08/2021 Called customer service in NL 3 times and wrote 2 emails but situation remains unchanged. When I will be back in France i will report this to the police as a case of theft.
What a useless company . They do not care about customers at all. Just take your money and forget about you. No delivery, no reply, no help.
