Malsons Jewelers in Boston
Malsons Jewelers in Boston, NY
I can definitely not recommend anybody to shop at Malsons Jewelers who has resold a Tissot watch to Jomashop.com, where I bought it. It turns out that Jomashop.com is not an official Tissot shop, as they just buy the watches from other shops and then resell them. This is also called “Gray Marked”. Therefore, the watch is NOT registered as sold, and in my case, it’s still registered as owned by Malsons Jewelers in Boston. Jomashop.com has just acted as an intermediary between me and Malsons Jewelers. And Malsons Jewelers are not helping with anything – they just ask you to contact Jomashop.com who are not helping at all.
Unfortunately, this has also resulted in that there is no original Tissot certificate included in the box. I was not informed about this, and it has not been possible to get the certificate afterwards.
Even though Jomashop.com has guaranteed that this is a genuine Tissot watch, I can only use this guarantee if I send the watch back to Jomashop.com in Brooklyn, NY, to get it fixed. This is not very customer friendly when you live in Europe as I do, and it’s not within the normal standard of a worldwide guarantee that you get, when you buy a genuine Tissot watch.
I advise you to be careful when you shop at Malsons Jewelers and Jomashop.com. They are absolutely indifferent about the lack of good tradesmanship and customer care. Jomashop.com just told me to enjoy my watch instead of helping with the correct registration in the Tissot register through Malsons Jewelers as well as providing the certificate even though it is them who sell the watch on behalf of Tissot. It’s not as I’m asking for something extra – I’m just asking them to provide what should have been included/done from the beginning.
The lack of registration and the missing certificate has cased that an official Tissot shop in Europe has asked me if the watch was stolen when I went to have the bracelet adjusted. And they even considered if they should withhold the watch until I could prove it is mine. A proof I can actually not provide as it’s still not registered as sold from Malsons Jewelers and I don’t have the certificate!
This is the worst case of unprofessional treatment, lack of commitment and customer care that I have ever experienced – both from Jomashop.com and Malsons Jewelers in Boston.
