Ridiculous
I am writing this review out of sheer frustration regarding an ongoing issue with Manoa Anu that has remained unresolved since early December.
Despite my repeated attempts to reach out and find a resolution. It has been nearly five months of:
Unanswered Emails: Multiple follow-ups sent with zero acknowledgment.
Zero Accountability: No updates provided on the status of my case, despite the initial problem beginning months ago.
Poor Customer Service: The lack of basic communication is unprofessional and dismissive of the client's time and concerns.
It is incredibly disappointing to deal with an organization that ignores persistent inquiries. At this stage, I am still waiting for a simple response, let alone a solution. I would strongly advise others to be cautious, as their "support" seems to vanish.
My negative experience
My negative experience is similar to what some others have written with poor communication, but I feel no communication is a better description. Since the 1st of January I have exhausted all methods of communicating, using email, online chat, filling out the online form and messaging through Facebook and I don’t receive any response. It would seem that the company priority is obtaining sales and not customer satisfaction.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Manau Anu. From start to finish, the communication has been poor, inconsistent, and unnecessarily stressful. I purchased an item in good faith, and when it arrived far too big, I was reassured that if I returned it, a smaller size would be sent out. Based on that promise, I returned the item promptly.
Since sending the robe back, all communication has completely stopped. Emails have gone unanswered, and there has been no update, no confirmation of the replacement being sent, and no clear explanation of what is happening. As a paying customer, I should not have to chase repeatedly for basic information about an order that has already been returned in line with their instructions.
To make matters worse, I have received communication from Klarna regarding payment, yet I still have not received the replacement item I was promised. This places me in an extremely unfair position — being expected to pay for goods I do not have, while the company has failed to uphold their side of the agreement.
The lack of response since the return has been particularly concerning and feels highly unprofessional. Good customer service is not just about making a sale; it is about taking responsibility when issues arise and communicating transparently with customers. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience here.
I would strongly urge Manau Anu to review their aftercare and customer service processes. No customer should be left out of pocket and ignored after following return instructions exactly as advised.
Update! Klarna is now saying the company has resolved this issue by sending the exchange, I have not received the exchange whatsoever the company should be extremely ashamed of themselves. Is This!? is utterly disgusting. Please everyone avoid this company at all costs read the bad reviews. They are horrendous to deal with and I have still not had no response via email since I have sent the item back. This issue has been going on since the 22nd of December 2025 today’s date is the 26th of March 2026.

Quality is unmatched, aesthetically perfect. It’s all just spot on
Initially bought one for my partner as a gift as we spend a lot of time at our local coastline. As soon as it arrived I was beyond impressed with the quality and she was beyond pleased with how it looked and felt.
I never bought one for myself before as I’m 6’5” and mistakenly worried the sizing may not be large enough, so I owned an alternative robe brand. However the day my partners came I instantly sold my existing robe on vinted and purchased a Manaoanu robe for myself.
Believe me…. The quality, design, fit, of this robe is insane. By far the most premium product of its type on the market.
I’m genuinely gutted I didn’t buy sooner.. but glad I have now!

Amazing Quality & So Versatile – Highly Recommend!
I originally bought this robe from to wear as a warm, waterproof coat for camping, but it’s become my go-to for so much more—walks, everyday wear, and all kinds of outdoor activities. It’s 100% waterproof, incredibly warm, and after over six months of regular use, it still looks brand new. The quality is outstanding, and it’s definitely worth the money.
I wanted to wait until I’d used it for a good amount of time before writing a review, so this is an honest reflection of how well it holds up to daily wear—and it’s been amazing. I also love that Manao Anu is a small family business with a beautiful ethos—it’s great to support a company that truly cares about what they create. If you’re thinking about getting one, I highly recommend it!
The oddest experience was trying to get a refund
The oddest experience was trying to return an item with a mark on it. I was told to simply wipe it off, but then an email exchange followed, where they were reluctant to cover the cost of returning a faulty item—nearly £20! To make matters worse, they sent aggressive emails in CAPITAL LETTERS. In the end, feeling frustrated and mentally drained, I reached out to PayPal, who issued a full refund. On a side note, I also have a coat that I'm planning to donate to charity, as I replaced it with a Dryrobe—so glad I did! I won't be buying from them again.
Editing to respond to the very angry owner or member of staff - great service to date:
The key facts were:
- You asked me to try and remove the mark and I politely shared that due to the cost of the coat, and that the item was not received as advertised, I didn't feel comfortable doing that. My main concern was wiping it off and damaging it and being liable for that. I think that is acceptable.
- I shared with you that as the items was faulty the trader is responsible for paying for the return
- I was also reluctant to pay for the return (£20 average) as you pointed out in one of your emails that you would access the damage, against refunding me the postage. in addition, based on the really aggressive and argumentative email exchange you sent me (presented here also), I figured you may refuse to refund me the postage, even though you may have offered that. I was also advice that this was your responsibly, which I presented to you in each email I send but you chose to ignore it.
- After you shared that you do not have a facility to pay for the postage like some companies. I took it upon myself and provided you with 3 suitable options, involving my Post Office where you could pay, and when presented with the options you didn't take up one of them. These included sending me the money for postage to my bank/paypal; calling the post office to pay.
- Due to the above, I was advised by Trading Standard to raise a dispute with Payal. This went in my favour and I have my money back, so I believe my review is valid.
Note: All the above I actioned following advice from Trading Standards who directed me to share the necessary information with you. As the leading trading body, I followed that and Paypal agreed with the decision.
I asked Paypal whether there would be a process for you to collect the coat, via this resolution centre, and I'm still waiting for a reply. The coat is still packed in my car for collection as it was the day I sent my first email to you, and I plan on taking it to the charity shop as I've had no instructions after receiving my money back. If you want to pay for the postage - your welcome to have it back.
The Dryrobe was so good in fit, I have purchase two of them. I'm a dedicated customer to all the brand I both work with and support.

I gave it a 4 as there were slight issues with delivery however the coat itself is awesome fair play. Completely water and wind proof. Knocks the competition out of the ball park. If you order to use as a coat (and not a changing robe) make sure you go down a size. I'm a medium so ordered a small and its still very big
We could not have asked for a better…
We could not have asked for a better product or experience. Ordered the wrong size and emailed to ask for a return and the correct size sending out instead, they responded and fixed it up so we sent it back they received it on Saturday and it's already packed up (the new size) and ready to post out tomorrow! Have been very helpful and so kind the first coat that we ordered was sent out and delivered very quickly. The coat is wonderful it's beyond anything we could have imagined the sizing is very generous as suggested it's exceptional quality and beautiful all in all I would rate this with full stars since this is out of 5 it's full 5 stars ⭐ but if it was out of 1000 they would still get every single star. My wife & I purchased a small size robe each, we are both 5'6" and for us they fit perfectly. They are superb quality garments, with great attention to detail. The Black and Grey versions are stylish, smart, modern and comfortable. Perfect for us. The sellers communication was incredible answering our questions politely, professionally and accurately. We would certainly recommend.

Disapointing experience
i am physically disabled. living with chronic pain
i purchased a coat which was lovely but very heavy. i really wanted the item.but each time i tried it on. it felt so heavy and made my chronic pain worse.
i struggled but admited to myself that i would.never be able to wear the coat as it was too heavy.
The contacted the company 2 days out of my returns window. asking kindly if they wouldnt consider a return and explained clearly my struggles.
Unfortuntley they refused.my return. a dissapointing experience overall.
The companys uncaring that i now have a coat.that i can.never wear.

If I could rate 10 out of 5 stars I would and this is both for their exceptional personal and friendly service and communications and also for the robe itself. My robe was sent the day after I purchased it and received well in time for my weekend away sea swimming. The robe itself is such high quality and stands out in comparison to other known robe brands. I’ve felt quite a few and none feel as thick, warm and durable as this. The fleece is soft and luxurious and the outer material is both moveable and not stiff like some but also feels like it’s resilient enough to handle a range of activities. It kept me warm after an evening swimming in the sea and I sat in it on the beach until about 8pm without any need to put any other clothes on. I didn’t want to take it off. I’d definitely recommend this item and business. The finishing touches to how it’s presented when you receive it and the beautiful little messages on the robe and surprise in the pocket also make receiving this a beautiful experience - a company that walks its values!
