Mankato clinic is walking wrongful death and malpractice lawsuit

My father broke his hip - he was 65 at the time - and complained of pain. The dr gave him Vicodin. My dad had returned in pain, the dr gave him Percocet. No one bothered to take an xray of my father’s broken hip that required surgery. My sister fell and ruptured her spleen. The surgeon severed a major nerve, and it was not repaired, or maybe not repairable. For the next 10 years my sister suffered in pain and was very sick. They kept putting her through their pain mgmt clinic. It eventually caused a loss of quality of life, and she ended up having to go on disability from a very successful career. The neurology dept diagnosed me with a nerve condition and wanted to place me on a copious amount of prescriptions, one of which was contraindicated with an rx that was a priority. The NP would not listen to me. We went back and forth on the portal until she became frustrated and then removed herself as my provider so that I could not message her anymore. The manager and directors of the neurology dept told me I could go somewhere else if I don’t like my treatment plan. Mind you, mankato clinic is one of two providers in all of southern mn and not every insurance carrier takes Mayo Clinic. When I was a kid they misdiagnosed me with osteomyelitis. I ended up having 13 surgeries at Mayo Clinic in Rochester when it could have been caught early. 3 Hickman catheters, two PIC lines, daily rounds of IV vancomycin for 6 weeks (for 5 years), home health care nurses, and a nasty 5 inch scar covering my elbow is what I ended up with. The medical billing dept refuses to provide a breakdown of your bills, they will not provide the cash price of procedures, and then when they’ve gaslit you for the next 6 minutes, you’re labeled difficult because of your advocacy. The MD in the urgent care clinic refuses to treat UTI’s, even after I told her that I had been in the hospital for a kidney infection and was familiar with my Lower back pain as a sign of a UTI coupled with urgency pain etc. She told me my back hurt because I needed to exercise more and refused to culture the urine beyond an immediate dipstick leaving without antibiotics. I returned days later and it was in fact a UTI - diagnosed by another provider. The colonoscopy wait list is 6 months.

This is the best clinic I have ever…m

This is the best clinic I have ever been in.
The professionalism, knowledge, and attitude are Stellar!
Although most patients are easy enough to deal with, having witnessed interactions between staff and patients was incredible.
The approach softened, so did the voice.
The softened approach, and the soto voce. Worked wonderfully. Excellent; EXCELLENT!
Thank you for your above the reasonable limits care you give to me , and others.

Thank you.
