They supplied a grey market import phone that was from New Zealand and locked to 2Degrees network (A New Zealand carrier) They tried to assure me it would work on Australian networks, which it did not - DUH.
I had to go through a hell of a daunting process to prove to them the phone was not usable.
They then only partially refunded me which is against section 56 of the Australian Consumer Law.
A complaint has been made with the ACCC.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED.

Took five attempts to get an answer from them after they had my device for a week, they reduced the price and i requested it be returned that took another three days and on top of the excessive post cost there was a freight handling cost of $20. Untrustworthy and dodgy

The prices for broken devices were very high. Team was friendly and easy to contact. Found this a good way to get rid of my old/broken devices.

Took weeks after device was received and multiple contact attempts for them to locate my laptop, they send me photos with metadata dating them to a week prior (before they apparently received it). In these photos there is damage that was not present on the laptop. They offered a lower price than the quote to compensate for this "damage". After disputing the damage and asking for videos with the damage where the serial number is present, I'm told that they are unable to provide more evidence and I am provided with the option to have it returned. After weeks of waiting and multiple follow ups, they finally ask me to confirm my address for the laptop to be shipped. Following this they ship it to the wrong address, thankfully I managed to get the laptop back, where conveniently the damage they reported, does not exist.
While they shipped back the laptop they did not ship back the charger, and when disputed point to their policy where it conveniently outlines that you're effectively donating them the charger if you decide you don't like their assessment.

No Response received from Manmade, emailed follow up 30th December 2025
Completed a Contact Us form from the website 30th December 2025. Website states 24 hour turnaround to this contact method.
No Response Received
WATCH HAS NOT BEEN RETURNED
Retail Value of watch: $1249
FAQ clearly states: "If the device matches the description provided, you will receive the quoted price displayed on our website."
My device matched the description. A pricing error on Manmades end does not absolve obligation to complete the transaction. I accepted the offer in good faith thereby entering into a binding agreement by mailing my watch based on that quote. I have now been without my watch for three weeks & have had no further communication of its whereabouts. I have no visibility over how the device has been handled, stored, or potentially used during this time, which raises legitimate concerns about its condition upon return.
I am NOW aware from multiple recent online reviews that this is not an isolated incident, which suggests a pattern of conduct that warrants regulatory attention.
The staff were very nice and helpful, service was quick as well!
Disgusting service avoid at all costs, trying to say they did not receive the MacBook I sent to them in a prepaid envelope they made me use! No response from emails, I am now lodging a complaint with ACCC, the Commonwealth Ombudsman and Scam watch, this is a predatory scam and I am thoroughly disgusted with them, avoid at all costs.
Extremely disappointing and concerning experience — I strongly advise others to avoid ManMade Cycle based on my recent dealings.
I recently sold an iPhone 16 Pro to ManMade Cycle through their website. I followed their process exactly as instructed, including using the Australia Post Reply Paid address they provide at checkout. These instructions are still live on their website post the sale confirmation.
After shipping the phone, the issues began:
• ManMade Cycle claimed the phone never arrived, despite me following their process word for word.
• They told me they had “lodged a case with Australia Post” but refused to provide the enquiry reference number, even after four separate requests over two weeks.
• Multiple emails from me went completely unanswered — I only started receiving replies after commenting publicly on their social media posts.
• Their tone shifted to implying I had used the wrong process, even though their own website still instructs customers to use the exact method I used.
• Their social posts state that phone support has been removed “due to abuse”, but after experiencing their lack of communication, I can understand why customers may become frustrated.
• They also stopped replying to my direct messages on social media after acknowledging them.
This is not the first time I’ve had issues with this company — in the past (when I had sent my devices in with my own post methods with tracking), they never paid within their advertised timelines, and I had to call them multiple times to chase payments. Now that phone support has been removed, there is no way to speak to anyone if something goes wrong.
In this most recent case, I trusted their Reply Paid process because previous transactions were eventually resolved — a decision I now regret. Following their own instructions resulted in a supposed ‘missing device’, no transparency, no reference number for the investigation they claim to have opened, and no meaningful assistance.
I will be lodging a formal complaint with the ACCC, as the lack of communication, shifting explanations, and refusal to provide promised information is deeply concerning. The cagey communication has led to serious mistrust of ManMade Cycle.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend ManMade Cycle and would strongly encourage anyone considering selling their device to them to use extreme caution, ensure they have their own tracked shipping arranged, or choose a more transparent and responsive company.
Seller very much be aware of this company!
Sellers beware
Help - my device is being held hostage!. Based on an offer generated by their website I posted my device to ManMade cycle. After inspection of the device [took 6 days - their counter on their website advised within 3 days or 8 hours if you pay extra (red flag)] they made an offer of approximately 17% of the value of the amount on their website. Apart from the fact the justification for the reduction in offer was not entirely true I thought - No problem, I will reject the offer and expect the return of my device. However this has not happened. I've followed up by email and they have advised they were busy but would get to it then they advised I would have it by a certain day but obviously that did not happen as I am here writing a 1 star review. They are currently not responding to my emails and I have escalated with Consumer Affairs Victoria as unfortunately I am based in Sydney otherwise I would have shirt -fronted them (you betcha I would). I don't actually know what's happened to my device as they are not communicating with me but it's a general warning based on my experience. Fortunately the device is not of major value and based on the offer they made I thought I may as well keep it as a back up since it has some sentimental value being my daughters' school device for year 11 and 12. Honestly though, if it was a relatively recent iphone or the like I would absolutely advise caution.
Confirming this is a genuine experience and I haven't received an incentive to write it.
easy to use and send with prepaid shipping label provided
Recently sold MS Surface Pros to this company, could not recommend more, elected to let the company send me a postage bag which came fast and was very easy to gain cash for used devices that would otherwise be laying aroud.
Sincerly,
One happy customer-

Scam company, avoid this business. I sent my device in to sell at an agreed price, and after a week they went silent. I now get no response from the business, they have made no payment and still have my goods. AVOID.
Misleading Advertising.
Website clearly states "Send in your device for an assessment within 8 business hours", "Payment within 8 business hours of us receiving your device!", which is not true. They expect you to pay extra for anything to be assessed faster, which is incredibly misleading.
They have been assessing my device for 6 business days and still nothing.
Easy to use fair price very happy would recommend
This company scammed one of my device. When I tried to sell my device and sell it to this company. They changed the price different than the website. Also they ask for ID afterward when they didn't specify anything like this on the website.
When I reject the offer and come to the store to pick up my device. They ask for ID again when I am not willing to sell my device and consider this company is kind of suspicious.
I showed them the email and the sell order that I made. But they still ask a bunch of things and refuse to give back my device.
Not a trustworthy business.

I had never heard of this place until a fraudulent fee was processed through them.
I contacted my bank who raised a suspicious activity/fraud investigation and advised me to also contact them.
No response for days after sending messages via the contact form and email.
Eventually a one liner saying the charges had been reversed (I was on the phone to my bank when I received this email and they couldn’t verify this)
When I asked for some proof from them Evan, self described ‘Tech tinkerer’ said that he had ie insinuating his single line email should be taken as fact.
The charge was $25 which in and of itself is not the main issue - the complete lack of help and accountability is.
But I guess if this is the way you run your business - every cent you can get out of someone- fraudulent or not would make a difference.
It’s a shame really, because I have seen business ventures like this around the world be wildly successful.
In this case though, Evan the Tech tinkerer should possibly stick to collecting used electronics from the side of the road and keep his hobby exclusively to his shed.

Worse company to sell your used stuff to. Go for other companies, there business practices are awful and anti-consumer. They want to operate like subscription based platform. Not at all useful. Would never do business again.
If you don't like their quote they ask to pay for shipping fee too which is literally BS. Worst company.

This business is a joke! They have effectively stolen my Apple Watch Ultra 2!
They confirmed they received it, approved the payout and never transferred the funds! I have had no choice to raise a case of theft with the authorities and with Consumer affairs.
All I can suggest you "do your due diligence" before considering using these pelicans.
