It doesn’t make my guitar sound like a bass which is what I wanted but it makes an interesting sound none the less which I’m happy enough with. The 2 octave below sound doesn’t hold at the lowest notes-it becomes an electronic wobble

The release of the OC-5 instantly devalued my Japanese original OC-2 ... and for good reason. Get your classic OC-2 tones (0% dry, 100% octave 1, 0% octave 2) but with better tracking and the option to dial in some new feels (try 25% octave up on top of 100% octave down). This could find a place on just about any pedal board but is as near to necessary on a bassist's rig as a compressor and overdrive.

This is a great unit. I was interested to read Hendrix was experimenting with effects the octave was one. I can see why. It can make the guitar sound like a rock organ amongst other things. Loving it.
