Tried to upgrade to pro from essential

Tried to upgrade to pro from essential
But the card didn’t go through. Then bam it went back to free when I still have 10months left on my essential membership. I contacted support and they are telling me that it was done automatically due to insufficient balance. When I know but this should have put me back in essential not free. Been so long with customer service and nothing has been done, really more of a scam £160 down the drain basically not useable. Customer service non existent they’re not even replying anymore.

It continues to charge two months after canceling the membership.

It looks like a legitimate company, but it's not. I canceled my membership, and they still charged me without warning. They charge you even after you cancel, and the email says, "This is your last invoice." But the worst part is that they continued charging me the following month.
Scammers, beware! There are better companies out there. Don't waste your money and time.

Edit: Support solved my problem. They said that their refund policy doesn't normally apply in my case, but they said they would "make an exception".

ManyChat has helped to automate our repetitive messages that we send to customers. It’s a real game changer. If you have troubles setting up, you may need to seek professional assistance, I’m available lol… But nevertheless… It’s a really great platform. I love it.

WORST CUSTOMER EXPIERENCE WITh MANYCHAT

Okay, so I linked my Insta hoping to use their automated welcome messages, but it's been a total nightmare.

First off, the automation never worked right, even though I know my way around Meta APIs and Instagram APIs and permisions..

Because it didn't work, I lost a bunch of potential buyers I couldn't respond to.

And their support team? Forget about it! Took them like 3-4 days to reply by email. Seriously, they need to get their support department together and offer live support with real agents, and maybe use some AI tools like Intercom.

Now my trial's over, the automation never worked, and they're trying to charge me $150!

It's a bummer to see such a bad customer experience, especially since I've been in this industry for over 7 years.

Useless

Have added an incorrect TG bot by mistake, searched over all interface to delete - no option. Talking to their AI support is useless. Created a ticket, marked as urgent - no response kind of 20 hours already. My work progress is 100% stalled. Of course, I have selected another solution

Their Dashboard is useful......if you can get to it. You may be logged in to your account, and then you'll be stuck in an infinite loop where you're not given an option to access your Dashboard.....funny enough, you need to access your Dashboard in order to have a live help chat with customer support (let alone, change your subscription). Until they fix this issue, I'd stay away from using this software.

The billing system has to be the worst thing I’ve ever experienced with a company in my life. It makes zero sense, over charges constantly, adds on upgrades I didn’t ask for and it’s completely random. Honestly feels like a scam.

⚠️ Warning for ManyChat users ⚠️

⚠️ Warning for ManyChat users ⚠️

I want to warn other users about a serious issue with ManyChat. After over 2 years of using the platform my account was permanently terminated without prior warning for “suspicious activity”.

No specific explanation was provided, no evidence, no chance to fix anything. The decision was labeled as final.
What’s worse: all connected pages and data were deleted instantly, with no option to export, back up, or appeal.

If you’re building a business on ManyChat, please be aware that:

bans can happen suddenly, even for long-term paying users

you may receive no clear reason

there is no real appeal process

you can lose everything overnight

I strongly recommend having backups and considering alternative platforms. Relying fully on ManyChat is a serious risk!!!

Worst Billing Company!

Worst Billing Company!

They keep upgrading your plan without sending us an email or asking if we want to upgrade! I was fine with the plan that charged $15/month, but they automatically charge me every month the next model pricing and the next and the next and luckily i got it before my bill would get up to $250/month. This is crazy and should not be charged in this manner! Don't use this website

Everytime I try and log in I get told I need to request permission from the account owners name, which isn’t fckng name and I have no idea how to give myself permission as it doesn’t give ANY helpful info. There is no where on their site to contact support and when you contact them on IG it sends you an automated link saying they are so sorry but to ensure help is received “quickly” you should contact support on the link below. But the link sent just sends you to an unhelpful FAQ page without giving you any ability to contact anyone. I am so glad I dodged this bullet and never paid for such a shit service

I had a very frustrating experience using ManyChat. The interface did not properly connect to either Instagram or Facebook, which made it impossible to set up the automation I needed.

Support was extremely slow — responses took around 24 hours, and communication was email only. There was no real-time help when issues came up.

The live chat on the website never worked either, so there was no way to get immediate assistance when things broke or failed to connect.

Overall, the platform caused more delays than solutions. If you’re looking for something reliable and easy to connect to your social accounts, I’d recommend skipping the frustration and going with a different provider.

Charged After Failed Payments – No Response From Support

I attempted to subscribe to Manychat’s Essentials plan for $348. The checkout showed three unsuccessful payment attempts (two debit, one AMEX), yet I was still charged $534.98 and $741.01.

This indicates a checkout or billing system fault, not an intentional plan upgrade on my end.

I contacted support immediately and provided full details, including timestamps and invoices. Three days later, I still have no confirmation of a refund, no clarity on which account was charged, and no response to my follow-ups.

Charging customers after failed payments and then not responding to urgent billing issues is unacceptable.

I am still waiting for:
• A full refund
• Confirmation of the charged account
• A clear refund timeframe

I will update this review if the issue is resolved.
