Awful experience would never recommend

Awful experience would never recommend. We have rented a property for nearly two years now for my daughter who is a student. There have been endless problems with the apartment block having no water, heating or no hot water a considerable number of times in the last 6 months which finally resulted in the whole block being without heating and water when it was flooded and they had to move out for a week. The company are useless. They never return a single call, they don’t respond to emails, they totally ignore their tenants and do not help in any way but expect the rent to be paid in full. An absolutely disgusting service and would never recommend them to anyone. The issues in my daughter’s block are still unresolved now but no one ever returns a call!!! They do however manage to make contact to ask for the rent - amazing that! What about your landlord duties??

Fraudsters

Mapartments are untrustworthy and dishonest. I paid a deposit for a Studio in Westpoint. This was based upon a price quoted as inclusive of bills. Then the price went up as bills were extra. It's impossible to contact these people. Phone calls, WhatsApp, voicemails are not answered for weeks. Eventually they clarified the bills position, but by then it was too late. We decided they were untrustworthy and found an alternative. Now they are refusing to return the deposit, despite saying at the time of booking it was refundable.
DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. There are plenty of alternative trustworthy letting agencies in a Manchester.... Don't make the mistake I did..

If you value your deposit do not rent with M Apartments

Will not return my deposit from a property I rented with them and moved out of the property a month ago. A month and two weeks later my deposit still has not been processed. I keep trying to call the company they do not respond to the phone. I have also tried emailing they are now not responding to my emails. I’m at my wits end and it’s starting to look like I may never get my deposit back. If you value your deposit do not rent with this company.

A company that falsely advertises, and completely ignores any complaints.

I moved into Westpoint with the help of Manchester apartments recently in September 2023.

Everything was fine for a few months - however, the quality of our internet service took a nosedive come December 2023, when the provider was switched. What was once a blazing 200+mbps connection plummeted to less than 10mbps.

Even now - I currently have 6.8mbps when writing this review, a stark contrast to the promised speeds.

I've been collecting proof of this, and I logged a formal review in January regarding this, per their outlined process, expecting a resolution within 15 business days. However, it's now the end of March, and I'm still waiting for a response.

Even more frustratingly, the building continues to boast about its "Hyperfast Wi-Fi" across its website and advertising, falsely claiming to have a "dedicated 10GB network for seamless connectivity".

They are quite simply lying to their current residents and deceiving future ones.

So many residents are sick of this, and all that Manchester Apartments responds with is "you can buy your own private line". An absolutely unacceptable solution given the initial promises made regarding our internet service before signing our tenancy agreements.

If I were you, I'd stay well clear from Manchester Apartments. I'm extremely disappointed by their service and will look elsewhere in future.

I will informing the local council of these questionable, immoral and dishonest practices.

Rude staff

Called to enquire about the situation regarding City Co-Living Newcastle as well as deposit paid due to cancellation yet was dealt with by a rude staff who hung up on me. 0 professionalism, ridiculous company.

They're fast to take your money but slow to give it back.

My apartment move in date got pushed back by a considerable amount of months. In the email, they said to reply with my bank details for a refund of my deposit if this date isn't suitable. 3 weeks later, I am still waiting for my deposit refund. I began messaging their senior lettings agent Neal on WhatsApp who advised me that it takes 7-14 days for the refund to process. I requested a follow up on the refund as I still hadn't received it, which got ignored. None of my messages have been read since.

Impossible to get hold of anyone

Impossible to get hold of anyone. Have been on and off trying to contact them for months. Ignored on live chat, ignored on whatsapp, ignored on rightmove, phone lines never open.
