TL;DR - don't do it, horrible

Reviews are accurate, this is junk, mostly a scheme to sell you a $200 box with a cheap GPS and Bluetooth chips. I did not do my due diligence and did not read reviews which was a mistake. Listened to a podcast on depinhub.io where a founder talked about the idea of competing with Waze and Google maps by creating a decentralized blockchain community based mapping system with live traffic and AI based real time info on points of interest such as restaurant menus, gas stations, all cool stuff. Should've known like all these projects, too good to be true. In reality, it's just a poorly made navigation app based on downloading some free old offline maps. Voice directions are "turn left" and "turn right". I didn't realize this has been around for years and got swallowed into the whole building a new community idea. It's not new, they just haven't produce anything in years. It's all fake, just another gimmick to pump a token. But even that - the token value is abysmal at this time, too many zeroes before any meaningful number to count. Search is bad, everything looks like a child made it (or Garmin in 2001). The worst part for me was this. They have some Candy Crush style leveling system and get this: you are not allowed to see and contribute traffic data until you reach level X. You don't earn until you connect a $200 box to your phone. You can't get rid of the obnoxious sounds (literally, sliders to turn off are greyed out) unless you level up. I tried to point all this out on their Discord (how are you getting adoption when you lock basic features behind some leveling game) and their adult response was to kick me out of their discord. Well, here we are. There is absolutely no info on their team, no contact information of any sorts, their tokenomics page doesn't link anywhere, their so called live map is completely void of any data (their web guy probably put it there 3 years ago and forgot about it) and most of their FAQ relates to how important it is to spend $200 on a box. All talk zero value.

Overpriced piece of junk. Token price even more of a joke

I got banned on discord and they tried projecting and blaming me for their poor customer service. SPT device never worked right the day I got it. The token price is currently $0.0000026252. That is a huge joke. It will takes years and years of you driving a couple hours each day to breakeven on the outrageous device cost of just over $200 with shipping. The device is powered by a 3.7v 1000 mah lithium recharageable battery that you can get from china for $3.00, which this device is made in china. The GPS board you can get from China for $20-25 bucks tops. This overpriced piece of junk is not worth it for $200. You will take forever to break even.

To top it all off, my device was malfunctioning the day I got it. They won't honor a warranty or verify if my warranty is still valid. They just assume it is. The mods banned me and are weak and can't handle any complaints/criticism. They can't provide a good warranty because the device is a piece of junk and cheaply made. I could go on and on about the terrible experience I had. Just believe the other reviewers opinions because they are correct.

Their app on android and iOS is very glitchy and buggy. It has an average 2.5/5 star review rating. It's as awful as people claim it to be. It took them 2 years for the app to function somewhat decent and even though it is still full of glitches, bugs, connection errors with the SPT device, etc, etc, etc.

Don't waste your time on this garbage project. It's a ponzi at best and a scam and ponzi at worst. Like what was already mentioned, the token price is at $0.0000026252. That is enough for you to know not to waste your time. The team/mods handle this project like a bunch of children on the playground. So unprofessional. So slow at responding. So inaccurate. So contradicting. Terrible customer service.

The worst investment

The worst investment, three years in and I’ve earned 21800 mmaps at 0.000002980766 a token. Can’t find any value to this project.I traveled last summer 6500 miles and got no rewards

The Mapmetrics SPT Crypto…

The Mapmetrics SPT Crypto miner/navigation device is quite a clunky piece of kit and doesn't look very slick.

It's a large piece of black plastic basically.

The daily rewards are pretty awful. If you drive for a full two hours every day you should get a return on your investment in over three years which is pretty bad tbh.

I cannot see any good reason why anyone should buy this device. If you want a sat nav Google is free, if you can wait three years on getting a return on your investment then this may be the device for you. Will they still exist I'm three years I do not know but they already took all the liquidity out of their first token leaving anyone who has it with one hundred percent losses on their investment. Will that happen again?
