I worked with a few different Swedish teachers before I found Marilingo and when I started lessons with Maria I really felt my Swedish begin to improve.

What sets Maria apart is how thoughtfully she tailors every lesson to my individual needs and goals. She creates a welcoming, encouraging environment where I always feel comfortable speaking, and every lesson includes plenty of conversation practice. She also offers a great variety of learning opportunities, from speaking classes, book club, private lessons, and test preparation. There is always a way to keep improving your Swedish, whatever your level or objectives.

I go to Sweden often and have many Swedish friends who have been encouraging me to learn the language. I tried Duolingo which gave me vocabulary but not very useful for the complexity of conversing in Swedish. So I found Marilingo. I’ve had a couple of lessons now and can already see a big improvement with my grammar and pronunciation. She is very helpful & works with me on real life situations. Totally customized for my needs as someone who has some knowledge of Swedish, but looking to gain fluency. The structure is based on real world applicability while keeping the format engaging. The environment is always encouraging. Schools would do better following Marilingo's lead.

My daughter is doing Swedish as part of her Duke of Edinburgh award. We wanted a tutor who could help her with her reading and writing, and found Maria through a contact. I moved to Sweden four years ago and immediately decided to look for a private Swedish teacher to support my language learning. My goal from the very beginning was to work in my field, Accounting, and I knew that strong Swedish skills would be essential.
I found Maria through Instagram and was instantly drawn to her content and teaching approach. Once we started the lessons, I quickly noticed how fast my Swedish improved. I really appreciated her teaching methods and the way our classes were structured.
When I later enrolled in SFI, my Swedish level was already too advanced for my group, and I was placed directly into SVA, where I continued my studies. Today, I work at a large company and operate 100% in Swedish, which clearly shows the impact of this learning journey.

My daughters have had Marilingo’s Swedish lessons for 1.5 years. They both have learnt and progressed so much during this time. They started off their lessons together but with a 2 year age gap my eldest has naturally progressed more. Now they have their lessons separately which has made a big difference to both of their levels and abilities to speak and understand Swedish. The lessons are perfectly structured and tailored to their abilities with different and varied activities every week.
