excellent technical knowledge, when buying a GPSmap9x3xsv. Explained the connectivity issues and subsequently based of the knowledge cancelled an order with another local chandlers. Furthermore came back and purchase more electronic items.

Great Product, unfair delivery option.
The product itself is great (Gill OS2 Trousers). What I take issue with is the quoted £30 fee for delivery to my home in the Scottish Islands. After calling customer services I was told this was non-negotiable. Instead, I had it delivered to my father’s house for free and he forwarded it on via Royal Mail Tracked 24 for £5.90. Whilst I understand higher costs for heavy or bulky items, there should be a Royal Mail option for smaller items.

I am sorry you were not happy with the carriage costs. Whatever the goods, we charge £30.00 to various islands, including the Scottish Islands. We generally subsidise shipping goods to these regions. We have looked extensively at different courier options. Our greatest problem is that there are very few couriers who will take the mix of product we do, from hazardous goods like paint and life jackets, to over-sized products like fridges and tenders. The majority of the products we sell are items that Royal Mail won't take, such as hazardous items like cleaners etc, which although small and light in weight, will not be accepted by them. We get a certain rate with our couriers to satisfy the majority of our customers, who are generally likely to include hazardous goods with their purchases. Having said that, we are continually reviewing the situation and appreciate your feedback.

Poor. Wrong sizes and expensive courier
Been using Marine Superstore for years, but the last order was poor.
2 Zhik clothing items were 3 sizes too big and a Typhoon wet suit 2 sizes too small.
Not to mention expensive courier service to West Coast of Scotland.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you were disappointed with the sizing of some of the products. The manufacturers provide the sizing information, so we will be passing your comments on to the suppliers concerned.
