Shipping took an abhorrent amount of time, Poor Customer Service.

As of writing this review I still haven't received any information about my order from the 20th of December 2021 (It is January 23rd, 2022). I managed to snag a community discount code for 80% off of my order - this involved watching an Instagram Livestream and being the first person to use the code when it was revealed to the thousands of us watching. I was successful and so got 80% off of my order. My girlfriend (Who I live with) placed an order a few hours after me and ordered the items to our address; her order arrived on January 13th - whilst I haven't even received a tracking number or shipping number!

Now I understand that we live in the UK and Market is based in California, however, the fact that her order arrived without a single hitch is ridiculous and makes me as a loyal customer feel unappreciated and not valued by this company. I have collected multiple expensive pieces from Market (including the Market x Smiley 2-man tent, Smiley x Market 4" Rug, Market x Mike Tyson Graphic tee, and many others) and this treatment feels like my loyalty is irrelevant. Or on the more sinister side of things; Market doesn't want to give me a product that they would make a loss on (I paid 20% of RRP from their site due to the discount code) and so is deliberately making it difficult for me to obtain the item; hoping that I will eventually give up and request a refund.

As for my experience with Market's customer service department. My complaint was initially met with a lot of deflection; claiming that it wasn't due to ship yet and 'after an order there's a 12-14 day window to receive any information' - this representative then guaranteed me that my order was due to ship by 18/01. Surprise Surprise, my order did not ship (Or rather, I received no information about my order). I waited over 24 hours before chasing up customer service again, explaining how it was ridiculous that I was having to chase up an item I had ordered that long ago. I was met with a casual tone email claiming that 'due to the new surge of COVID-19' they were 'understaffed' and so, 'they were working diligently to get my order out' - Why weren't they working diligently before? My girlfriend's order arrived swiftly, so where is mine? Wouldn't they send out orders in order of when they're placed?
I find this excuse hard to swallow to be honest with you, as they're still pushing sales campaigns and digital marketing efforts on social media and their website as hard as before (They've actually just released a brand new collection, alongside an in-person event in California where they sold clothes and plants). It doesn't seem like COVID can be THAT much of an issue for them then if they're hosting in-person events. Also, this company is a massive, international fashion brand with high popularity and market share currently - surely, they're adequately equipped to deal with COVID illness in their workforce? Furthermore, shipping from the US can't be affected THAT much, as items I've ordered from other companies arrived with little to no issue. And these companies had the decency to provide me with tracking info, and actually ship my order!!

I don't normally leave a review unless it's a good one, but this whole scenario makes it very hard to not feel victimised by Market. I know it's insignificant to a large brand like Market, but you've lost me as a loyal brand advocate from all of this. I cannot recommend any of my peers purchase from you considering the experience I've had.
