His one-stop varicose vein clinic in a relaxed atmosphere affords an opportunity to complete a thorough assessment including a lower limb venous duplex ultrasound scan prior to patient centred discussion of available treatment modalities including minimally invasive keyhole radiofrequency ablation and ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy procedures for all types of varicose veins including thread and spider veins. Professor O’Donnell performs office consultations for all aspects of primary and complex arterial, venous and lymphatic disease at Kingsbridge Private Hospital Belfast; Kingsbridge Private Hospital North West; and the Ulster Independent Clinic. At both Kingsbridge Private Hospital sites, he provides the full remit of varicose vein procedural treatment including endovenous keyhole radiofrequency ablation, ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy and microsclerotherapy as well as open surgery for complex or recurrent veins including phlebectomy / avulsions, ligation and stripping. He greeted me and the patients before and after me with a smile and warm friendly body language which immediately put me at ease.
