`is it a scam

`is it a scam? Order made 28 february and not received until today, 12 March. the name says "The MARK RYDEN Canada" but in fact package is shipped from mainland China. Their deleivery partner claimed today the agent came at 21:47 and nobody was at home, which is a lie, today they claimed that it was stolen and they are taking five days to investigate. What government authority is overseeing you in Canada?

Chinese, not Canadian, and NO email response for returns

Chinese company, not Canadian as portrayed.

I ordered two backpacks. One was okay and fit my needs. The other looked low quality compared to the product shot. I actually received two of the poor quality backpacks but was charged for one. I now see that the second one is "out of stock".

I emailed the address in their return policy and never got a response, two weeks later. I emailed their global office (China) and was told "your email is not in our system. Contact the right seller".

While the first backpack fit my needs and didn't need a return. The other backpack (at a premium price) can't be returned because they won't respond to emails.

Buyer beware!

Read the comments below! This is not a Canadian company, despite what they try to portray. I ordered three bags expecting them to come from a Canadian source. The website states "free worldwide shipping," but after placing my order, I found out it was shipping from Hong Kong, and I had to pay a customs fee to receive the backpack. Buyer beware!

If I could leave a O stars I would

If I could leave a O stars I would. Worst customer service ever - radio silence and if you get through, no action will be taken. If you really want a Mark Ryden bag, you're better off ordering off Amazon, because at least then you can cancel the order, return it, track it, etc.

Product not delivered, but card charged

The company did not deliver the product and is not replying emails. Writing a review here to see if I can get their attention, otherwise I'll have no choice but to reverse the credit card charge. There's no phone number to call.

Mistakes can happen at any time, I don't expect perfection from businesses, but you gotta reply customers if there's an issue.

Poor quality, customer service unresponsive

The backpack I ordered (Navarro, 17 inch) is of utterly poor quality. The left strap tore after approx. 6 months (fixed it at my own cost), and the zipper began tearing away after roughly a year. Of course, replacing a whole zipper is more costly than buying a new backpack. I complained with the customer service several weeks ago. No answer whatsoever. This is borderline fraudulent. Hands off this company! Invest 50 bucks more and get a reliable product from some decent brand.

What a scam

What a scam. "Full refunds within 30 days." I had to pay $24 shipping to return it and then they remove the shipping fees. My shipping fees were $0 on my original purchase. That is what it says on my invoice. They don't have an physical store, so you can never see a product before making a final decision. NO OTHER retailer does this.

Beautiful product but unreliable shipping

This company is misleading as there is nothing Canadian about them. My order took a while to be dispatched from Shanghai even though I live in Toronto and they claim to ship from a Toronto warehouse.

Update: The bag arrived 8 days after I was sent the shipping notification even though the tracking link still showed Shanghai. I wasn't charged any customs or duties.

The bag is beautiful. There are many high quality details, from the sturdy foam handles to the custom zippers and the built in charging port. I'm annoyed I had to wait for shipping from Shanghai but am happy with the bag.

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. If you are here, trust your gut. They cherry pick when they will respond (never via email, sometimes via chat), and it has been months since I ordered from them and still have no backpack. It was last seen over a month ago, and they're still claiming it could be in a warehouse.

They also use a chat bot that has no way to tell who the rep is or when they will respond. I was waiting once for 15mins for a response. Another time, they never answered.

They refuse to refund until they can "contact the shipping carrier." Read the other reviews, this company is not legitimate and doesn't care if you receive your product or not.

Ships directly from China

Ships directly from China, not mentioned during ordering process.

In my opinion the whole brand is Chinese with a fake Canadian Profile.

Great Product, Poor Shipping Time

I think the product itself is terrific. It has many compartments and was able to suit my needs quite nicely. The bags are stylish and very durable. I had a small issue with the tread on one of the bags but outside of that it has been great.

The reason why I gave it three stars is because of the shipping time it took a month for my bag to arrive. It was not disclosed where my order was coming from and had I known it would have been mainland China I would have ordered sooner. I purchased these primarily for a trip and had to end up ordering two more bags from Amazon because the order didn’t arrive in time. I placed my order three weeks before my trip departure.

1 month still no update

1 month still no update, I don’t know where my package is. I know bc has floods but some areas and roads are opened now. But rep isn’t helpful, seems reluctant to help, should be contacting canada post to follow up. Not me following up with mark Ryden to follow up with canada post.

3 months and i still didn’t get my bag

So i ordered a bag back on September and they said they got it shipped and gave me the tracking number.

On october 7th i tried contacting their support because I didn’t get my bag yet, they told me they’ll investigate with the shipping company and will either give me a refund or ship me a new bag if mine was marked as lost in transit.

I tried contacting them since October 7th till two days ago November 20th and i get no replies.
