Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of products, noting issues like pilling after minimal wear and items falling apart quickly. People also reported problems with online orders, including significant delays, incorrect items being sent, and difficulties with returns or refunds. A common complaint revolved around pricing, with many feeling that items were too expensive, especially given the perceived low quality, and some even experienced discrepancies between displayed and charged prices. However, some customers also mentioned positive interactions with staff, describing them as helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, particularly in physical stores. A few other people also felt that the in-store shopping experience was generally positive, appreciating the product selection and the assistance received.

Was at the store in Tsawwassen tried on shoes found 2 pairs both marked 67. Took them to the til the one range up right the other rang up 87. Clerk and I went and checked the shelf and yes it was marked 67. He said it was the wrong product we looked at the other ones there and they were the same shoe but he said sorry this is not the right shoe. He said nothing could be done. We went back up front and he asked if I would like the other shoe I had brought up to the counter. I said no I think I am just going to leave and buy my shoes elsewhere. I have bought many items at Mark's want to support Canadian but not here.

As bad of an experience as I could imagine in a retail setting. Not worth my money. They should shut down the whole chain and stop embarrassing themselves with the services they provide to their customers who go there to spend their hard earned money. Awful, that's all I have to say.

I would have given a minus rating to…

I would have given a minus rating to this company. First they messed up my online order by sending me a shirt instead of work boots which I ordered. Then despite 15 days having passed since the item was returned and delivered I amyet to get a refund. When I called them about the status of my refund the agent put me on hold and returned to the call after 10 minutes stating that the refund could take anywhere between 4 to 6 weeks. How pathetic is that ? Poor unaplogetic customer service coupled with inept fulfillment division , I dont know how they are still afloat. I think I have to go to my credit card provider to disoute the transaction to seek a refund. I am sure in reply to this post Marks will respond by saying : We are sorry for this but please send complete details so that we can look into the matter. Absolute disaster these cheats. Pls stay away from this com[any

Spruce Grove -
IGNORANT & RUDE management by PAM CHURCH
Customers walk right out when they see her in store
Ignorant & rude to staff also, embarrass and belittle staff in front of customers. So embarrassing to witness.

How is this person still employed??? Absolute nightmare!

No staff assistance - cannot find staff to help
Poor selection - No sizes

Edmonton West End always says they get all the Spruce Grove people - this is why!!! To avoid Pam and find sizing

I bought very poor quality work gloves…

I bought very poor quality work gloves made in China of God only knows what kind of animal skin and likely manufacturing in extremely inhumane work conditions. Mark's has hired a Texas based company called BazaarVoice to moderate all reviews. They censored my review by refusing to publish it. Does BazaarVoice censor and refuse to publish negative reviews and only publish positive reviews? This is highly unethical.

I recently went into Marks at Hillcrest mall. I stood at the counter for a few mins before either of the two ladies stopped their personal conversation to ask me if I needed help. It was a flat “ not anymore” response as I walked out the door. Where is customer service these days?? If you don’t want or need my business, so be it. Lots of other places to shop and spend my money!

I walked around for a while in the store to find a sleeveless vest but was no size. The cashier suggested that they can get it from an other store and I agreed. She made me pay for it without seeing and trying it on... The next thing she wanted a pictured ID from me, my address, my phone#, yet the vest will arrive to their store. This is all after paying for it! I had been basically treated as a criminal, will never shop there again! Needless to say I don't want the vest and demand a refund!

Customer is always wrong

Hello, I'll start by saying I do appreciate the lack of "customer is always right" policy because I do think a lot of customers take advantage this way. Here's my situation: I've visited 3 Mark's stores in 2 different provinces looking for women's FR pants in size 0. Obviously doesn't exist because I understand I'm part of a handful of women that would require FR in my size (which Mark's doesn't carry). So I finally gave in and ordered online (closest size available). The parcel was signed by some stranger that I've never heard of/ is not the building manager's name. A case manager named Jennifer Parks explained that a refund has been issued but that "further claims will be denied" and recommended I shop in store... Ok fair. She's not wrong. I'm just stuck, back at square one. Maybe could use grammar check in her email, especially if she's "corporate customer relations"? But I honestly don't are too much about that. Just ranting. Thanks.

Poor quality work pants

Bought a pair of cargo work pants . They cost me $60.00 and all they are are lint catchers . You would figure Mark's would be able to figure out these pants are garbage for work. You put them on use a lint brush you get in your car you use a lint brush you go to work walk around and use a lint brush. Mark's you get my drift these work pants are practical for anything except lint catchers total garbage
