Issues with customer service were frequently mentioned, with customers reporting unhelpful interactions and difficulties in resolving problems. Order-related concerns, such as damaged deliveries, incorrect items, and tracking issues, also contributed to a negative experience for many. British Quality gone bad

I purchased the they're 'British Outdoor Bred Slow Cooked Porchetta' for Christmas day.
Very disappointed all round, the box says 1.4Kg, it wasn't. A third of the rolled belly was heavy fat, which is the cheapest meat for a rolled joint.
The ingredients of 'enhanced beautifully with roast garlic, fennel, lemon and herbs' was a dismal amount and in fact you could not even smell any Garlic.
Poor Quality all round for £35
Like everything else now at M&S, the quality has plummeted and yet they sell it on quality for an increased price.
On another food product, they're bread is under cooked and so is heavy and doughy, you have to remove the stuff and I have told them so many times.

Extremely Poor service

I placed a Christmas food order in November. Recently, I lost a friend unexpectedly, and I have to attend her funeral. I called Marks and Spencer's line asking to change the collection slot by only few hour.
There response were shocking no. Even for emergancy situation like this. I am certainly will nere use them again. I can not belive there lack of compassion and poor customer service. I have no word.

How sad to see this great British…

How sad to see this great British retailer go the way it has. The great Chairmen like Raynor or Greenbury wouldn't see the current Chairman Archie Norman fit to shine their shoes. (Norman ex Top Shop, where is that business now!)
They dont even bother to respond to complaints on here or when I contacted them about a food product issue. Complete disgrace of a business that was once great.

Christmas food hampers go out of date before christmas

Extremely disappointed to discover the two Christmas food hampers ordered from the Christmas Food Gift section on their website, have arrived today, 7 days before Christmas, containing short-dated items that will be out of date before Christmas day. In fact they'll be out of date before I've even gifted them.

Customer services say that the small print on the site says they can be short dated to as little as 2 days, and there is nothing they're willing to do.

But it's just stupid. A Christmas gift hamper that's only guaranteed to be suitable as a Christmas gift if you order it on Christmas eve, which you can't because that's well past their last order date.

They say this is our error. So no refund, or return allowed, despite one of the happers having a torn gift box (packed that way, not delivery damage).

I feel like I've been mugged. They've missold the item as something it could never be. They've conned me.

I've been 'allowed' to escalate it as a complaint but have to wait for the complaints department to grace me with a call - I was not allowed to be transferred. So I'm killing time by writing this review - wondering if I need to bin these and find new gifts, which I can't do until I know what's happening.

If I don't get a satisfactory response I'll have no choice but to do a charge back, but what a pointless waste of everyone's time and money. Shameful, intentional misselling. Christmas gift hamper, my arse!

Shrinkflation, or something worse?

The "Outrageously Chocolatey" biscuits is an old favourite guilty pleasure. Most recently though, the pack only included 9 biscuits. The package, thought, was the same size as before. This is more deceptive than simple shrinkflation.
This is not how you treat your customers, M&S

I put an xmas food order in to pick up…

I put an xmas food order in to pick up at 5.30 22nd Dec. I put a £50 deposit down. My family have since booked a pantomime for the whole family and so I cannot pick my order up. I have offered to pick it up early on 22nd and 23rd but they say they cannot do it, therefore I loose my £50. If you cannot pick up on the time and date you loose everything. This is no service

Avoid M&S Bank at all cost

Don't bother wasting your time with M&S Bank. Applied for a loan at 5.8% for a Range Rover that I was supposed to collect tomorrow. I chased them all week and was told different stories each time. The paperwork finally arrived by email only to have 10.9% on it. M&S Bank have lied to me, messed me around, misled and misrepresented their APR. Thanks to M&S Bank I will not be collecting my new car tomorrow and will not be having and loan with them as I cancelled it. Thanks to Tesco Bank I will be having my Range Rover the early part of next week with a 5.8% loan as they advertised.

Absolutely furious

Absolutely furious . At the end
of November I ordered a Seasalt Coat . The order and money were taken and eventually I was told it wasn’t in stock !!!
Having not learned my lesson this week I ordered a ceramic candlestick. The day of collection was changed to indefinite
So I rang Customer services and was assured it was waiting for me at the store. Fortunate I did not go to collect it.,This afternoon I have had an email telling me it is out of stock. I rang to
complain and was assured my complaint would be forwarded. I also asked for an email confirming the phone call, so far zero . This is the M and S which promotes itself as being special !!!
M and S what has happened to you? Talk to John Lewis and learn how to treat customers.

M&S food no more.

I purchased the brown soda bread and on first taste. Yuk, disgusting. It was like eating corn beef and cheese on very sweet bread. Next day I made a piece and banana with the bread. Again yuk. It was only when I checked the bread's ingredients I got reason for sweetness. It had black treacle. I used to love m&s food but I very rarely go and this was one of those rare occasions. Yuk.

Not just any delivery a M & S delivery

I paid £3.99 for home delivery. I stupidly expected it to be delivered to my front door.
Instead i received the location of my delivered parcel in a car park which was identified by a symbol. No photo; and sure enough, it was dumped in the nearby car park.

I took this up with Customer Services asking for my postage cost to be returned. They took two days to reply and told me that as it was delivered on the correct date and as I had eventually found my parcel (despite me having to spend time searching for it in a car park) then the delivery was successful!!
Next time perhaps I won't bother looking for it ; I will just ask for a full refund as they didn't deliver the service they charged for.

I find it strange that a company that prides itself on such high quality use Evri, which provides such as poor service.

This isn’t home delivery; this is M & S home delivery.

Downhill trajectory hits rock bottom

Firstly I'd like to say that for the pat 30 years I've bought their non-wired crossover bra. Their best selling non-wired bra - which they decided to discontinue??? What does that say about management.....

I've been looking for a replacement and tried their 2pk Ultimate Support Non Wired Sports. They are absolutely awful, so I went to their website to leave a product review. There is nowhere I can leave a review. No stars to click, no "write a review". I headed to customer support and clicked on send an email - it takes you to a blank page. Tried several times on different search engines - same. In other word, you can't contact them by email.

I'll leave the review here: bad, sloppy fitting with absolutely no support. Totally unsuitable as a bra, let alone a sports bra.

Everyone knows that M& ha been on a downward trajectory for years, but from my perspective, they've hit rock bottom both in terms of product quality and customer service. Never again.

Ordered a set of 3 x saucepans - one missing

Ordered a set of 3 x saucepans. When they arrived all the lids were there but the largest saucepan was missing out of the box. Called M&S, got through to someone with a foreign accent and I had to continually repeat myself as could not get my issue fully understood. Kept me on hold then came back and offered me a 20% discount. What a joke, there was 33% missing! The call handler ending up putting me on hold 3 times, had to listen to very loud muffled music. Didn't fully understand my issue, said I could go and pick up the missing saucepan from a local branch, I'm not prepared to do that as its 25 miles away. If something goes wrong you offer the customer more than what they are entitled to, not expect them to spend 2 hours on a round trip to their local branch or accept an inadequate discount of 20% for a parcel that is missing 33% of its contents.

My flower order was damaged on delivery

My flower order was damaged on delivery. Customer service is only available by phone and is difficult to get through to, so getting resolution is unreasonably slow. Having spent 20 minutes the line the operator offered me £10 - only 25% of the order value. I would have expected a full refund. This was a birthday gift that was ruined.

Thank you

Thank you M. & S customer service.
Contacted them after a parcel was delivered today to my rubbish bin. Heard a knock at the door but Evri person had put parcel in bin by time I opened the door. Told me I took too long to open the door. Wasn’t expecting delivery today. In the past bins have been emptied on recycle day and parcel lost.
Told M & S about experience and person said that was unacceptable. So zero stars to Evri and five stars to M & S. They need to know they are being let down by delivery service. Tried contacting Evri and left comments in past and today but still they deliver to bins.

M&S fail to deliver yet again because they use Evri

Once again, I've ordered clothes from M&S and they fail to deliver. The problem is always their delivery company, Evri. I always get a long list of their so-called "delivery attempts", but they never come anywhere near my house (I have CCTV cameras so I know that they are telling lies). It's simple for them to leave parcels in my delivery box, 5m from the road (where they can easily park).

I've had to repeatedly complain and M&S always say they will look into the problems but nothing ever changes. It's a waste of time trying to communicate with Evri - they deliberately get you running round in circles.

UPDATE: "BBC Rip Off Britain" have just featured EVRI - (4 May 2026, 10.45am, Series 18:6) - available on BBC IPlayer. I hope M&S take note of this.

Item NOT delivered...😡

Told my clothing item would be delivered "between 0700 and 2100 TODAY. It's now 22:45 and NOTHING has turned up. If I'd known they were using the useless cheap Evri 'couriers', I'd have never placed the order. The M&S website has NO means of emailing them - the 'contact us' link just goes around in circles. There was a time when Marks and Spencer were a respectable name on the UK high street. Not any more. I've wasted my money, will have to drive into town and buy what I need and assume that I've been fleeced by M&S and/or Evri.
I wish I'd read the Trustpilot reviews before ordering. Won't be using this store again.

Would give zero stars if I could. My mum’s birthday gift has not been delivered 11 days after ordering and despite reaching out to customer service my issue went unlocked at for several days- have now been told the item is out of stock and am being refunded. Awful service- have been massively let down by them
