This was an exceptional cabin which was very neat and tidy and the views were breathtaking and so close to Totnes which is a busy town with plenty to do,We recommend the cabin as we thoroughly enjoyed our time here

As always a wonderful holiday at Martinhoe. Came for first visit 2011 and return most years, always with our Golden Doodle. Originally Molly who who was nearly 13 and now Oscar just 3. Despite our age, late 70’s we still love the area for walking. It’s in magnificent setting.

Mulberry Cottages in Seaton are well equipped and homely. They are ideally situated in the pedestrianised heart of Seaton, literally two minutes walk from everything including the beach, and are a great base from which to explore the surrounding East Devon coast and countryside. The Marsdens Devon Cottages team are super efficient and everything went without a hitch. Will definitely use them again.

Ideally located to tour East Devon. Excellent facilities offering a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Good customer service when I had to call to make a last minute booking.

This was our best holiday in many years. Everything is within a short drive. The beach is 10 minutes one way. With shops and take aways 10 minutes in the other direction, but there are also many fantastic restaurants to explore nearby.
The bungalow is beautifully decorated and furnished and very comfortable with everything that you could want for a fun filled holiday.

Lovely clean well equipped cottage,ideally situated for north and south Devon,nice pool too.Peacefull and tranquil.Comfortable furniture,bed and pillows lovely and comfy too.Nice big fridge&freezer.Great welcome pack of afternoon tea,milk , coffee and wine..

Would never recommend this company. Booked a holiday only for them to cancel it 1 hour 15 mins later. Left with no alternative but to book another one for £200 more.
When I rang to arrange refund, advised could not credit back to credit card as per normal practice but could only credit bank account. This could take 5-7 working days. Not happy as left with limited funds for holiday. Waited and waited - 13 days to be precise - for credit to be applied, only to then find out that it had been applied to my credit card all along.
Made complaint to CEO. No response received. Seemingly too self important to deal with customer complaints. They appear to be below him.
Promised complaint would be passed to complaints department: no response received.
This goes to show how much contempt this company has for the people who keep them in business and in a job. Book with this company at your peril.

Wonderful cottage. Immaculate inside with lovely owners where nothing was too much trouble. All accessories provided in cottage inc a welcome hamper and dog bowls. Farm was huge with plenty of walks but hilly in places. Drive to cottage isn’t great as it’s one vehicle wide but that’s usual for Devon but once inside estate it’s lovely. Owners have a lovely dog too who was a joy. Illfracombe and woolacombe are a very short drive with plenty of eating places.

I am on my last day of a rental through Marsdens Holiday cottages and the rental is called Sandcastles in Croyde.

Upon arrival last Saturday the holiday rental was in a very sorry state.

I have rented property in and around Croyde for the past 25 years and I was here this year to recognise the 8th year of my husbands passing. As a family we have have become to love Croyde so much but please be warned this property should be avoided.

The issues found are as follows:

1) the tree on the drive blocks the view of the drive and scratches you car so please be careful how you reverse into the drive or park forwards on the drive. My car has many scratches as a result and demonstrates that the property has not been cared for
2) the blinds int he longe fell down
3) the washing machine cannot be opened without sheer brut force
4) the washing machine does not close without using a sharp knife
5) the dishwasher doesn’t wash properly
6) the coffee machine was all mouldy
7) the cafeterie handle broke in our hand causing a burn risk to my 2 year old grandson
8) the radiators are rusty
9) the hot water tap falls off in your hand
10) there is no hose facility for dogs or wet suits
11) no pegs to hang out washing line
12) the pillows are lumpy and 100 years old
13) the hairdryer should be avoided at all cost smell of burning and you can see the heat increase wi5in seconds

I raised some of these issues with Marsdens and was promised new pillows and a replacement hairdryer, nothing forthcoming. I paid £1250 and was offered a pitiful £120 compensation which is massively disappointing

We have used Marsdens for at least seven years and we always get a great service from them. Always available to answer questions and great at finding solutions, especially during lockdown.

A magical place to stay. It’s in a stunning location which makes for an incredibly relaxing. A dip in the hot tub is very luxurious, especially when the weather is a bit overcast The barn is exactly as described and is wonderfully clean with good quality equipment. There is so much to do nearby whether it’s a stroll around a national trust parkland, a visit to a Sandy beach or a long lazy lunch at a country pub.

Another fantastic stay at Well Cottage. Our second of the year. A brilliant base for a family with a dog. Thanks for the wine and fudge on arrival. Such a bonus! This house is super clean and well equipped and a perfect location to walk into the town and a short drive to our favourite beach..Putsborough Sands. This year we booked the heat wave! So lucky! Every day on the beach! And the Belfast sink and trug and hose outside was a god send for sandy wet suits. The cottage remained cool.. even in the hot temps! Great takeaway from Squires and the Chinese too. As well as recommending the Thatch at Croyde. Great food. But book up. Altogether a fantastic stay. Thanks Marsdens and Annette the house keeper! We will return.

This property is in need of renovation,
The mismatched furniture needs replacing, the recliners do not work on the stained leather suite...
The front door and whole of the property need cleaning and repainting.
The front door struggles to open and close...
The property is in an amazing location but on our arrival we found it filthy dirty and very dusty will a used chewed pop bottle under the furniture
The bedrooms smell of pets.
The bathroom smells of urine.
The stairs carpet is threadbare in places
The cooking utensils needed washing before using
The property does not appear as it does in the advert.
The hedge at the rear is overgrown
I complained via Marsden's holidays to be told that my claims were not correct and they would not deal with a complaint as the "contract" is with the homeowner and not Marsden's !
If it wasn't for the location I would have left 1 star !!

Fantastic cottage and well equipped, loved it.

Stayed at sea spray apartment Westwood Ho. Wow wow wow. What a view from the spacious and beautifully equiped apartment with Superking bed too. As regular holidaymaker with Marsdens and Original cottages this was the best .however the service from both is second to none always.

We recently stayed in Braunton, North Devon @ Little Book Cottage. We booked through Marsdens and I found the whole experience excellent. It was a two bed cottage perfect for my family. There was enough equipment to meet any needs in the kitchen, expected services, TV, WIFI, etc. Not that you need them, we ate out and were exhausted by the beech activities. The Marsdens website was easy to use and navigate and the information was provided at key stages with email reminders, on the whole a great experience and service, will use again and defo recommend.

Booked an apartment in North Devon through Marsdens for a week. Booking through the website was straightforward and communication was good. Apartment was well kept and as described. Overall a good experience.
