This company is a total ripoff

This company is a total ripoff. It is taking advantage of people's fears of covid. They are charging $420 for a mobile barrier, but the most worst part is that they charge $540 for shipping and $26 for a levy on the use of a credit card.

Only a fool would order this. Shipping is from Nebraska

Good Afternoon Carl,

Thank you for your feedback. All feedback is appreciated, good or bad!

There are different levels of barriers available on the market. Ours are certainly not the least expensive, as they are designed for professional settings and are higher end, manufactured with polished stainless steel, durable, locking casters for safety and mobility, and 0.60" thick acrylic.

The shipping fees are as such because they are shipped assembled vs. those that can be shipped unassembled. The distance was also approximately 1500 miles. I assure you that our margins are tight, as we have much competition in the marketplace for this type of product.

MarShield offers many payment methods to avoid this credit card fee. Unfortunately, we incur a 2.75 to 3.25% fee, depending on the type of card, from the credit card companies which is very difficult to absorb in this competitive market. The fee merely covers the cost of the transaction.

I hope that your needs were taken care of by another vendor who manufactures product more suitable and economical for your application. If not, please reach out to me an I would be happy to recommend some other companies who can assist.

Regards,

Place to avoid like the plague

I have been forced several times to consider MarShield over the years, and every time I hope they have improve, I find they have not.
-Their reps do not respond in a timely fashion (a few in the past were outright condescending)
-Their products are ineffective at best (usually garbage quality)
-Their markups are ridiculous (for one item it was over 200% than the quoted price of the factory + my costs to import for an off-the-shelf item)
Bottom line, they have always been a bad place, make no effort to improve, and are largely unapologetic for it. I have no idea why they are still in business.

Multiple redundant questions during the …

Multiple redundant questions during the ordering process. All information required for the ordering processes was given in multiple emails. Ordering process was very lengthy due to the need to answer the same questions over and over again causing a delivery deadline to almost be missed. Items would not have shipped on time if we had not contacted Mars Shielding close to our deadline as limited follow up was performed once order was officially placed.
