Marvel Heat Pumps definitely lead the way!

We had an impeccable service from Marvel Heating from start to finish of the installation of our air source heat pump. The salesman was extremely informative and helpful and the rest of the team were outstanding ranging from engineers, plumbers and electrician. All headed by Dwain Byrne MD. The work was carried out with extreme care and tidiness We are now reaping the benefits of having the installation expertly done.

Honest, tidy, high quality respectful people.

The engineers that came were not only knowledgeable and professional, but they were also very respectful of our property.

Anything we asked was never too much and they even did little extras like move some radiator pipes so that the job just looked neater when finished 😁.

After installation I have had the pleasure of speaking with them about the installation and to organise a battery install (which was also done to a high standard and placed exactly where I wanted it to be).

As a testament to the quality of workmanship our installation was chosen for a random quality audit inspection by the bus grant scheme. Today the results came back. Which in fairness was no surprise, but it was a pass with flying colours.

If you are considering a heating company I would honestly look no further. I would also recommend a heat pump. Once set up and tailored to your home (which is well worth spending time to do so) it just works quietly in the background.

Mitsubishi Ecodan ASHP

Knowledgeable sales person , no pressure to buy. Detailed inspection by engineer to ensure suitability and answered all questions openly and with great detail.

Installers worked quickly and professionally and installed to a high standard.

Had some teething issues with the system , a little difficult to get in touch and get an engineer out due to distance.

Issue was rectified quickly and since had no issues , very happy with performance of ASHP . Initial worries of house being cold were soon a thing of the past , house is lovely and warm.

Great incentives after sale on servicing.

Truly a professional company that knows…

Truly a professional company that knows all about heat pumps from initial survey to instalation, no problems at all, absolutely couldn't recommend them enough ,home lovely and warm,,24/7. Friends have commented what a very neat instalation it is ,before marvel we had other heat pump installers in who didn't have a clue what they were talking about..we welcome anyone to to to view our instalation. Been installed 10 months now ,not a single problem, but nice to know marvel are there if needed.. Paul wallwork..

From pre installation right through to fitting everyone onr involved was polite helpful and no job was to much of an issue to deal with. As for the heat pump its amazing the house feels so much warmer and cozier. Would highly recommend

Great experience with Marvel heating

Great experience with Marvel heating. Starting from initial visit, providing quote and right suggestions to the installation process - all went very smooth. All my anxiety was allayed by the team installing it and it was a tidy work and they took responsibility of clearing all rubbish as well. Though i don’t have any issues with the heat pump, i feel the team is always there for any trouble shooting and there is good ongoing customer service. Overall i am very happy with my choice of going with a heat pump and happier with the choice of going with Marvel. Thank you.

Overwhelmingly positive experience

Marvel Heating made the installation of my ASHP perfectly simple. They had answers for every question I had and the whole process ran on time as planned. My life and home suffered very minimal interruptions, as the plumbers got all their jobs done in a day, including removing the boiler and all of the previous heating equipment, and the very next day the electrician completed him work.

First class installation

The whole installation was handled in a first class way. From first discussions to final switch on all was excellent. All the staff I dealt with via phones calls were exemplary and the installation guys were efficient, thoughtful and professional- I would recommend this company without hesitation.

air to water heat pump, so far so good.

In our case marvel fitted an air to water heat pump system installation by Marvel Heating, which attracts a £7500 grant from the government, this meant we paid around £6.5k and got a heating system costing around £14k. Our boiler had broken, and a decent replacement would have cost £5k, so it's a good deal. Now have no gas bills and no gas standing charge ever again. Our electricity is from solar panels, and the extra is from renewable green energy (Ecotricity).

Any radiator upgrade was a flat £200. About half of ours needed upgrading.
Our heat pump is a Mitsubishi ecodan 8.5kw. We have 3 beds might extend to 4. House is well insulated. So far so good. We have an app a bit like hive, seems good. Also have a movable control in the house, and one attached to system. Installation took 2 days for plumbing, 1 day for electrics to make it work

24 solar panel install with battery storage and hybrid inverter.

I recently had 24 solar panels with a Fox Ess 10kw hybrid inverter with 2 10kw battery storage.
Amazing install and the work is to a very high standard.
The app is fantastic and I can monitor everything.
They also installed another Fox inverter on my old solar system that links into the app as well. Can say the install was swift, quick and was fitted in with short notice.
Great company and easy communication.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
Plus will be going back for more solar equipment to be installed off them very soon. 👍.

Heat Pump and Solar Panels

I recently had an Air Source HeatPump and Solar Panels installed at my property. Adam came initially and we discussed everything in detail. A walk through was conducted with Dwain before the installation. On the day of the installation the engineers came on time as arranged. All the work was done in one day. The work was done to a very good standard. The men were very respective of my property and myself. Time will tell about the equipment installed but at this point I am very happy with it.
I can honestly say that I would recommend Marvel Heating to anyone.

hard sell , name dropping and too much focus on discounts and referrals

received a sales call and was a hard sell. Heared them out, and next day reviewed my notes from last year, I realised we did pay them already for an inspection (that theyt now offered for free since they claoimed they had no record of me) and it took some time before we got the report.

Back in 2024 we decided to not got forward with their services. Therefore the call took me by surprise.

Reading my notes from the past and reviews on trustpilot I felt it was a hard sell and too much focused on referrals, discounts and grants.

Furthermore I did not get the impression my questions about next generation heat pumps was properly addressed other than by name dropping and mentioning prices they have won as a company. None of that impresses me.

Finally , getting a link with having to sign up to a portal really feels like pulling me in for a hard sell.

Asked them to remove me from their calling list and cancelled the appointment I flet I was elbowed into.

We don’t operate a hard-sell approach. In fact, most of our installations come from follow-up conversations rather than same-day decisions, and our process includes several visits before any commitment is made.

Marvel Heating and Renewable Energy - A very satisfied customer!

Marvel Heating and Renewable Energy Company recently installed an air pump heating system into our 4 bedroomed dormer bungalow. The whole process from the original consultation until the final commissioning of the completed system was extremely efficient. Before the purchase the potential system was discussed and explained to us whilst an engineer visited to determine the most appropriate size of pump and radiators for our home. The workmen arrived on time, worked very hard and left no mess - even our neighbour commented on how neat they were and how everything was tidied away each evening. An added bonus was three workmen in the house and no sound of Radio 1. The whole installation took three days and disruption to ourselves was minimal. The system has now been in operation for three weeks and we are very pleased with the even heat throughout the house at what seems a reasonable cost, using our smart meter to follow how much is being spent.

Questionable reviews, attitudes and selling tactics

Marvel visited and gave me the 'hard sell'.
First 20mins was his CV then a push on my providing a review on their company. This was all before any assessment had been made of my property and whether an air source heat pump would be suitable.

There was no direct request for a positive review rather it was inherent in the reward process a customer can sign up for. First as the £500 off for providing a review following installation. I was advised against providing a review via Trustpilot as, it was stated, they do not use them. I noted, this enables the company to control a review and its visibility to customers ie a lack of transparency.

The next stage in the reward process was that I could promote the company to others to receive a further financial pay back, up to 3 times, equating to around £1,100 in total, for each referral which translated into a sale, within 1 year of my purchase.
The final stage of the overall offer was the one which confirmed for me how unreliable any reviews from customers are where the company controls them.

I was told, I could sign up for my review to be shared with prospective customers to receive a further payment if I accepted a call from the prospective customer to confirm the review shown to them was mine and correct. It was made clear none of this required me to provide positive feedback but I feel it is unlikely this option is open to any one who says the company is less than great and rather encourages people to provide information which may not accurately reflect the quality of the company's service.

I was then advised they wanted my fully payment before any work was done, post the survey. The justification given was that they have to wait for the money from the government, which they claim is also my money. However, that is the business model they have accepted so does not require me to pay before I see the work done.

What it does do is put me in the difficult position that, where I feel their work is not up to standard or in anyway in breach of our agreement, that I would likely have to go to court to secure my money, something many people might struggle with as it is not straight forward particularly if you then have to find the money for legal representation without knowing if you will win the case. As an approach, it gives the company a great deal of control of your service and money. I have not looked into any action they can take in the event you refuse to sign off the government grant, which was claimed to be 'my protection.'

As if that was not enough to put me off, I really did not appreciate the three to four times I was asked if my husband was going to attend the meeting and where he was at the time of the meeting. Just to be clear, I don't have a husband, it is my house, and money, that I was making a decision about. Apparently that was not what was required by this company.

Obviously it is up to you whether you chose to purchase an air source heat pump, and from whom, but, for me, this is not a company I would touch with a barge pole.

Thank you for your review. Since I was the one who visited you and explained our new initiative, I felt it important to reply personally.

First, regarding my introduction: I often explain my 30 years in the renewable energy industry. Having seen the solar industry plagued by “cowboys” and short-lived firms, I believe it reassures customers to know they are dealing with a company backed by genuine, long-standing experience.
It is also normal for myself and our consultants to begin with a conversation, answering questions, explaining our background and process, before moving into a full technical survey.

You mentioned “high pressure.” At Marvel, our process is deliberately staged to avoid that:
Initial visit – discussion, basic survey, and outline quote (no commitment).
Independent survey – detailed property measurements (no commitment).
Revisit – final quote based on accurate heat loss design; if proceeding, contracts and deposit (partial commitment).
Engineer survey – during cancellation period, final planning and questions before full commitment.
We believe this four-step approach is among the most thorough in the UK and anything but high pressure.

Regarding our new initiative: this is an optional scheme explained by telesales before appointments are booked. Its purpose is twofold — to gather post-installation feedback so we can improve, and to create a network of satisfied customers willing, if they choose, to share their experience with others in their region. Trustpilot remains outside our control, so this scheme gives us more structured insight across the wide area we cover.
Participation is rewarded with a £500 discount, 3 years’ free servicing, in addition to the £7,500 government grant. Customers may opt in to provide feedback but opt out of calls or home visits, and they will still receive the discount and servicing. I was therefore surprised at the strong criticism in your review, as this flexibility was explained.
On referrals: offering incentives for introductions is common practice and helps reduce the high cost of generating leads. Our scheme is generous — £1,100 for three successful referrals in the first year, or £250 for any individual referral. This benefits both customers and the company.

Finally, regarding your marital status being asked: we encourage both homeowners, where relevant, to be involved at the first stage. If this caused offence, I apologise — it is simply to ensure we are engaging with all decision-makers.
I am sorry your impression was negative, but I stand by our approach. Our initiative has been very well received by the majority of customers and reflects our commitment to transparency, customer reassurance, and continuous improvement.
